Reading official chapters only. This is the one where FL gave everything to get a guy she loved on the throne only for him to betray her and marry her sister and then her sister killed her. She vows to get revenge. There is some kind of balance thing she's supposed to care about. But idk. FL=Ariadne ML=Alfonso Bastard she loved in past= Cesar Ariadne is an illegitimate child to a priest guy. His more legit kids belong to his wife and the older daughter is beautiful, well loved, and manipulative as fuck. She's the one who killed FL. Step mom is also a bitch. Younger sister originally starts mean because she's mimicking her sister and mom, but eventually loves FL and vice versa. Then she died before she would have in her previous life because evil sister basically pushed her down the stairs and stepmother didn't like her enough to get her a doctor. I cried so that's a sign of a good story. FL falls for the other prince this time, with very little remorse over the fact she literally MURDERED him in her previous life. He's pretty naive to the world since he's been babies by his mom. Ariadne sets in motion plans to get revenge, oust he evil sisters popularity, take over her families house, and find a way to get the prince to marry her. Which he really wants to do, but his abusive ass father king keeps trying to force his bastard prince and FLs old lover/betrayer Cesar on Ariadne, and tries forcing Alfonso to marry a duke's daughter from his moms kingdom to prevent a war. Some folks from there tried killing Ariadne, but then Alfonso killed them, and it turned out to be some Gallican diplomat and someone witnessed Alfonso kill him. If it got out that Ariadne had been kidnapped, people would assume she'd been raped and was "sullied". So, empress hides that information and the information that the duke's daughter was the one who ordered the killing, and the king beat the empress for hiding his son when he found out about the dead diplomat. Rando knight was used as a scape goat. Empress gets assassinated. Gallican kingdom threatens war if prince doesn't marry the duke's daughter. Alfonso goes to kingdom and king dad thinks he's going to marry, but it's to reject it. But that other king won't even have diplomatic talks with him and have them all trapped in his castle. King dad also has Cesar's mom in dungeon after an attempted assassination on queen mom was thwarted by Ariadne(but she wasn't the culprit which is how Queen got poisoned again).Cesar asks for her release, but king dad beats the shit out of him. Last I left off was when Duke's Daughter forced Alfonso to drink with her and Ariadne got a merchant guy to give money for her to use to stockpile wheat and bees wax for the upcoming plague. Anyways, the story is good. About halfway through, the dialogue got more shakesperian and convoluted which hasn't been my favorite. Also, this is not a comic for anyone who wants even a drop of comedic relief. This is full on drama drama drama. Art is good. This artist makes very handsomely drawn men. Overall, 4.8/5️
