FL is isekai'd into a book she was reading as a throwaway character who lives luxuriously beyond her family's means, Izelle. FL's family took out loans to fund her lifestyle and now they're in severe debt. Her father and mother love their daughter to the point of being enablers. The loan shark gives them 2 months to get the money, or he says he'll take our FL. So FL sells all her luxury shit, then sees a flier offering 1 million monies reward for a missing child. The child happens to be the main character of the book, and she knows where to find him. The dump. She finds him, but he is super sick so she takes him home first. He can't remember anything, and bonds with her and her family right away. Then she takes him to the Duke, aka his uncle. But the Duke's been scammed several times with magic tools and so they have a potion they feed to the kids to get rid of any spells to change one's appearance. So, when FL, who is rumored to be a money hungry person in debt, comes and magically has a child that's supposedly the nephew, the Duke is suspicious of her. But the potions fell and broke and another wouldn't be available for a month, so he tells her he won't pay her until he can prove it and demands she leave the boy there. She refuses to leave him, and kiddo refuses to stay without her so the duke forces them both to stay for a month. Meanwhile some sketchy guy is plotting to find and kill our little guy. Anyways, they stay at the mansion and he keeps his butler and servants watching her like a hawk. Blah blah blah, he falls for her, finds out the boys is his nephew, convinces her into a contract marriage, and the sketchy guys servant is stuck as a cat. Also, the books female lead is also a child and her first meeting with the prince resulted in them throwing hands, but she's going to be staying at the mansion after the wedding while her mom recuperates elsewhere. Currently, Duke plans to go on date/outing with Lizell and the kiddo. Also Duke loves her, and she doesn't like him back yet. The art is decent, the story is cute and silly. It's a good, non drama, wholesome read so far. 4.85/5

Completed? The artist stepped down after 3 seasons, so no more chapters, I guess? FL is a bit of a bitchy narcissist, so it's hard to root for her. She literally can't seem to care about anything but herself. The art was phenomenal but I really wasn't the biggest fan of the story in regard to the main characters motivations and complete lack of empathy. I know it's highly rated, but I don't even know if I'd want more chapters. 4.3/5 (because pretty art and cinnamon roll ML and some funny bits)

A creature called a shadow typically has to eat things right after they die. So one was waiting for someone to fall off the cliffs edge when a woman does indeed fall, terribly injured. But the shadow is surprised when she doesn't get scared of it. That interesting woman asks the creature to help her, but since she's beyond saving she tells it that it can eat her but to just please protect the white comander blah blah title aka the 2nd prince. Intrigued by this woman, the shadow does something it knows inherently that it isn't supposed to do, and makes the vow and devours her while she is still alive. This means that it can no longer shift into its other shadow forms and will live and die in that body. Most shadows can transform into any creature they've devoured if they've waited for it to die. Anyways the person the shadow took over is Roselyn, a knight who abandoned her family who supported the 1st prince in order to become a knight for the 2nd prince. She apparently had feelings for him. And so this shadow Roselyn, who lost her memories from Roselyns life, is found and returned to her family home. Her brother, Callix, who cares for his sister immensely, comes to figure out that she isn't his actual sister from watching her closely, but when the shadow innocently tells him about the vow made to his sister as she was dying, he promises to help the shadow achieve what his now most likely dead forever sister had wanted. RoselynCallie, a bit...inept...at literally everything, learning from mimicking others and being taught social decency, etiquette and manners by her brother and friend. But then she goes back to work and is officially promoted by the 2nd prince, who looks at her with total disdain. She was always a great knight, but not the strongest, but with the shadow's strength she is an absolute monster. So when some bullies pick on her and ask her to spar, she does, and she kicks his ass but then innocently carries him to the infirmary. After seeing that, and realizing that her weird behavior might cause more issues if left to her own devices, the commander assigns her to immediately protect the prince. And her first day on the job, she detects and stops a would be assassin from killing him. However, she jumps on his desk and shows all sorts of impropriety in front of the prince and behaves in such a peculiar manner that even when impressed everyone can't help but shake their heads. Roselyn determines that the poison is the same one that was on the weapons during the previous attack that killed the og roselyn, a poison which even divine power could not heal. Everyone was stumped as to why, but roselyn is just like "wouldn’t that mean it's made with dark magic since it cancels out divine power?" Why yes, yes it would. But the 1st prince uses that revelation to send the 2nd prince on a mission to another country that is surely behind it (he would know because he's teamed up with that countries prince to try and murder 2nd prince, and he refuses to send extra troops effectively making it a suicide mission. Meanwhile, Roselyns personality change and childlike ignorance gets to be our comedic relief, like when she jumps through the princes window instead of using the door or requesting an audience, or when she brings her bully a gift at the infirmary, or when she eats 6 million times the meat and desserts a normal person would, or her sneak attacks on her squires to train them...just lotsa little funny moments. Anyways they leave on the mission, 2nd prince is still pretty wary of Roselyn, who originally was his sister's knight but failed to protect her and is also from a family he despises for supporting his malicious brother. But he keeps watching her, as her weird behaviors are sort of entertaining. She runs into another shadow creature like herself stuck in a hunting trap, and rescues it and it later comes back and hears her story and decides to stay by her side and protect her and she calls it...Macaroon. So, Macaroon becomes an eagle to chill with them while they journey and a mouse to explore the castle when they get to foreign country. Foreign country prince flirts with our totally oblivious FL and gets interested in her. Meanwhile, she is only interested in meat, dessert, protecting the 2nd prince, and the fact that there is dark magic literally all over the kingdom. Apparently they are part of some black moon religion that worships the dark god and not the light one that everyone else does and there is something called the shadowless night that everyone is trying to recreate or something. I dunno. Anyway, this religious group uses "fragments" to make poison and also inserts the fragments into their knights to make them monstrously strong. However, our shadow FL is way stronger. Macaroon gives FL a fragment it found while spying as a mouse and FL also overhears the 5th prince scheming with the Balkan prince on the 1st prince's behalf and relays that very useful info to the 2nd prince. He cannot deny her talents even if she's a bit strange. He starts getting fond of her. Anyways, with that, they safely finish their excursion and head back to the kingdom, fully aware there will probs be an assassination attempt while journeying back. The Balkan prince sends a bunch of op fragment knights to capture the 2nd prince, he wants the divine power, but FL overpowers them and is poisoned and so sacrifices herself to let them get the prince out of there. But without needing to hide her powers, she massacres the remaining troops before catching up to the prince. Rumors circulate that she is a Magus, which isn't true, buy her father confirms it to quell worse rumors from coming out. While she recovers, Balkan prince realizes what she must be to have massacred his knights, and 2nd prince kinda already knew something was up from the second her strength had changed and she took down that first assassin but he confirms that he knows with her brother. He also now has a major crush on FL, obvious to everyone but the FL. Brother vows to be his knight and serve him from his position in the red wagon wheel family. Meanwhile FL father calls her an it and a thing and THAT and yet is won over by her. I left off right as he was giving her the family ring back. Anywho, the art is really good, the story is pretty good. Love the comedy of an oblivious lead character. It is a tiny bit weird how the ML falls for her when she's acting like a literal child but whatever. It's still cute enough. Overall 4.85/5️
