FL has lived 3 different lives and is born into the 4th one. In every one, her life is controlled by the emperor in some way shape or form. She’s been forced to marry his son, who eventually becomes abusive and only wants her to have a child so he can finally look sucessful to his father. Pretty sure he kills her. In another life, she runs away with the stoic and honorable knight who loved her father, and they would’ve lived happily but the emperor basically kills them. In another life, she avoids is all, and then her maid kills her. So in this life, she sends the maid away, manipulates the abusive prince into showing how inadequate he is to avoid marrying him, and refuses to marry the knight. Instead, she gets the king to allow her to choose between all his children. She makes a show of meeting them all everyday, all while trying to convince the son who I think is a bastard in some way to become her fiance. He refuses, clearly wary of people after all the abuse he’s suffered from his brothers and neglect from his father. She thinks he’ll be a good fit because it takes him out of the abuse, and also leaves her with the most power to lead the Duchy or whatnot since she is more than capable of doing so alone. The story on this is okay. The art is good. 4.5/5

FL is princess of bats. She didn't know until the end that her parents and family used her name as a scapegoat for all the bad shit they did and then sent her to fight in a war to "save her sister" but really was just sending her to say she started the war and trade with her sister as a hostage. The emperor offered to let her be on his side with her magic but she didn't know her fam sucked and refused and was tortured in prison until emperor sent her back to her fam. Then the whole nation scorned her for starting the war and demanded her death and siblings revealed she had always been the scapegoat and none of them loved her and that's why they died her hair to hide her golden hair that represents the royal fam and the massive magic power. Anyway she's beheaded and reborn and takes her sister's place as the empress to the emperor who imprisoned her in past life. She starts acting vicious, cruel and crazy and gets revenge by supporting the emperor and divulging all the secrets she knows little by little to prove her worth as an empress. Her servant Sang is injured by one of the many concubines and wears a dog muzzle to cover it. FL got revenge on that concubine and she got kicked out eventually. Same with the other one who harassed her. Emperor, who is a cruel and cold person starts to find himself drawn to her and even uses his healing magic on her despite never using it on anyone after being abused as a kid to make the powers stronger. Anyways everything FL says comes true. She rescued the trade ship, blackmailed the second concubines bro to get a peace treaty so that she'd no longer be needed, uncovered the 6th concubines connections and ruined them by revealing Duke was experimenting on humans, stopped the emperor's sisters kingdom from killing her by revealing that the revolutionary army had set the church fire and kidnapped the nuns and kids to sell, etc etc. I left off when she brought the former aide of some other kingdom that her family had planned to use and blackmail to take advantage of because of her sick bro. She brings her back to their kingdom and gets her bro healed so she can work for them. Also, emperor is realizing he has feelings for her in some capacity. And without new secretary, her fam shoved all the work onto her bro who failed and he's pissed. This is an okay story, just too much drama and the romance leaves a ton to be desired. FL is bit likeable and flips a switch out if nowhere from previous life to this one to have a total personality change. Which makes a little sense because of what she went through, buy she doesn't have any real fucking trauma from it. Just anger and vengeance. Like...you were tortured and r****d. But other than wanting revenge, you're perfectly fine??? Anyways, this one isn't my fave. I may drop it later. 3.9/5️
