My all time favorite manga. I read this from Middle School until it finished when I was in high school. I'm a Kyo stan. The story is far superior to so much other anime and manga out there, and still holds up to this day, which is why the anime is doing so well. I learned so many great moral lessons from this manga, and developed my love of manga from this manga and this author.

Reading official translations only. FL is a baby squirrel shape-shifter born into a family of lion shape-shifters. When she was small, her dad sent her to the capital to live with her aunt. Aunt was abusive, lied about her father loving her, pretended he did not send letter or money, and used her to marry off to the second prince who pretended to be her friend until her coming of age ceremony where he murdered her with his snake shape-shifter poison bite. She is reincarnated back to the first day she meets that prince and slaps him, turns squirrel and runs off the north where her dad is a duke. She's surprised by how well the servants and her brother treat her, but her dad is off to war. The person he left in charge is super corrupt and working with the rotten royal family to fuck up the duke. FL solves the food crisis that the advisor caused when he had some rando burn down the food storage. So, instead of losing the war, her dad wins and comes back and refuses when she asks to stay. She also has a celestial constellation squirrel things which said it was what brought her back to the past. And she also meets the 1st prince, who is super hated by his snake shifter family for being born a dragon shifter to the point his dad makes him cover his eyes with a blindfold at all times. He met the FL when she was in the capital being abused when he was in his dragon Form and covered in clouds. He thinks of her as a friend, and so when they meet again he's super sweet but she mistakes him for a casanova. But with his help, her dad and bro learned what the aunt and the people in the capital had been doing to her all that time. Misunderstandings got resolved, aunt was slaughtered, and the royal fam sent the 2nd prince to negotiate the cost of war fee down and he's in for a rude awakening when none of the family bows down to him like he was told they would and instead he's met with malice. Where I left off was the prince facing the bro and dad, FL just starting calling dad "papa", she still doesn't know the dragon and 1st prince are the same guy, 1st prince left while 2nd prince is there, dad is feeling immense guilt for how neglected his child's been and is trying to make up for it with gifts and her bday is coming up. This is a cute story. The art is cute, FL's eyes are massssive lol. Pretty wholesome. Main character seems like she'll be a child for a while. 4.8/5️

After FL, who had been hospitalized all her life and died during surgery or something, died she was reincarnated as Re. Re is a orphaned street kid inside of a novel that the FL read in her previous life. Novel was about a Duke with a dark secret. He had a monster in him that feeds on humans. However, he does so by killing bad guys. He has a son who is just as emotionless as he is. Re runs into him on the street and since she remembers the novel she knows the guy he is after is going in the opposite direction and would end up killing her friend. So she warns him and he goes and kills the guy and gives her a business card. She wakes up on the streets covered in red flowers and goes with some flowers and his card to ask for a job. Instead, he adopts her. The red flowers are the symbol a serial killer has been leaving behind. His son, Jade, treats her nicely from the start, which is honestly a nice change of pace. She's always waiting for the one misstep that will get her kicked out. Turns out she is a genius. Also has some sort of premonition ability. The family grows to care for her. She helps solve a murder or two. The doctor who told him she's a genius is also secretly the serial killer with the red flowers. She just got enrolled in school and got into a dispute with the princess. Brought a tiger to a tea party in response. I love this. Super cute art. The brother is amazing. Dad is also pretty great. FL is intelligent . I like the art. 4.9/5️

FL=Agnes. ML=Kylo. This is the one where FL died before her time and so God let her live inside a book with her fave character, except God made her the character that is a bitch and nemesis to her fave character. She's the stalker princess who looks down on commoners and pretty much anyone aside from the OG ML that she stalks who also hates her. When she enters FL, Agnes's body, she is slapping her favorite character 3 times and saying shitty things to him after belittling the military at a victory ball after the war. She is a princess and the king is a fool for his daughter. He was going to send her out of the capital until things settled down but she refused and instead accepted to work for the Black Knights, the knight order with the worst reputation led by her favorite character Kylo/Kairo/Kyle. She tells OG ML she'll stop bothering him which starts making him obsessed with why she doesn't like him anymore and he deluded himself into thinking all this is a ploy because she still loves him. His name was like Richard or Stanley or some shit. I dunno. He's an egotistical asshole, and I dunno HOW he was a ML in the OG novel. Kylo also is a piece of work. An egomaniac with an inferiority complex when it comes to the OG ML. He puts his knights in danger just to one up the OG ML because he can't stand to feel less than him. He also is a bastard child from a noble family that abused him and so her ran away and joined a mercenary group before gaining enough talent and prestige to become leader of the Black Knights. Then his noble family sought him again for his status and power. Anyways, he reads into every one of Agnes's actions as belittling him in some way. She tried to maintain somewhat of the OG Agnes's image so people wouldn't think she was completely crazy, so she couldn't just suddenly fawn over Kylo outright like she wanted to. Anyways, the black knights end up being like 2 other people, who she ends up getting along with. Her bro is an ass who thinks she's a nuisance and just wants to marry her off. She gets closer to Kylo, purifies and heals a town and brings up Kylos reputation and the black knights reputation as well as her own. But then her dad keeps her locked up for a while out of overprotectiveness and so she has to sneak out to see the birthday fan Cafe she set up for Kylo. But since it was too early she went wandering around and OG ML, who was fucking stalking her like a fucking creep, saw her get hit by a carriage. She sees God again who lies and says it was another accident and gives her some special necklace as compensation. FL wants to use the necklace to prevent Kylo from having to Sacrifice himself to end the war with the demons when there is a resurgence. Anyways, FL uses it as an opportunity to feign amnesia forgetting only the OG ML hoping he will finally leave her alone. But her bro and OG ML try and use it as an opportunity to get OG ML another chance at a fresh start with her. He tries to force him on her as a personal knight, but she refuses and says she's gonna have Kylo do that instead, but they settle for Kylo 5 days and OGML as 2 days. But then bro keeps manipulating her to go on dates with OGML, which makes Kylo (who realizes he likes her) insecure and jealous and unsure of her feelings. Until he sees her treating OGML with annoyance and realizes the OGML is being a creepy stalker and starts finally making moves on Agnes. Oh yeah, forgot to mention before she lost her memory she got drunk and went and found Kylo and kissed him and he's still convinced she mistook him for OGML, but they have kissed already. Anyways, they went to a play the bro ordered her to go to with OGML, and she agreed only if Kylo could come and used the time to actively flirt with Kylo. OGML is so delusional that he thinks FL is pushing him away and pretending to have forgotten him because she loves him so much she is giving him a chance to get away from her with no guilt. He also compares her to his dead mom who lived in a loveless marriage watching her husband love someone else, this after the while reason he started hating her is because he blamed her for not being able to see his mom in her final moments before she died. Anyways, I think I left off around the time right after the play. I think this is cute. Probably should have waited for more official/better translations because they stated getting iffy (mostly just misgendering characters). The art is good. The story is fun. OGML is a true villain. The characters are complex enough to be semi-believable. 4.9/5️
