A large group of minotaurs is led by a white minotaur who is attracted to the scent and they attack ML’s unit. Black has possessed the white minotaur. - ML’s soldiers take care of the minotaurs while ML beheads the white minotaur. Black escapes when ML tries to capture it with magic. ML kills a bear possessed by Black and makes it show him where Lt Carter is. In a cave ML finds Carter unconscious. - Black says it’s name is Clever, the last of the mimic tribe. It has a subspace ability and promises to give it’s massive treasure hoard to ML to spare it's life. ML gets Clever to swear an oath of loyalty to ML. Later Clever changes it’s appearance to a white cat. Lt Carter is carried back to the barracks by ML. - Clever helps ML find his treasure in the Forest of Evil. It’s an orb of the demonic venom tribe’s heart. ML consume it and becomes immune to all poisons. His blood also becomes a deadly poison. - A year later, ML has completed his military service and his position returns to Lt Carter who has been slowly recovering. - Essellan gives ML a 3-star distinguished medal of honour. He also promises to grant one wish for ML in the future. - ML still can’t awaken his sword aura. The more powerful a person is, the harder it is for them to draw out their inner aura. Once they do, their aura is much stronger compared to others. - ML travels to the free city of Vivaldi (similar to Las Vegas). - It’s known as the greatest pleasure city in the Empire. - Brent Larson is the undefeated chess champion for the last 10yrs and mayor of Vivaldi. Most applicants fail the rigorous tests set up by ML. - Hegler is the first to pass. He’s on the run with his wife Sona and 4yo daughter Nia from a Count. Hegler beat up the Count for sexually harassing Sona. ML promises to protect Hegler. - Whispering is an earring artifact that enables communication with animals and plants. ML retrieves the earrings from a lake. ML also obtains a water dragon egg. - In ML’s past life, Ankellman the port city of was an independent state that was destroyed in a war against Golden. - Sir Ban is a swordmaster and former deputy commander of the Ankellman knights. He killed the Ankellman king and the knight commander who refused to give up their pride and surrender. Ban negotiated with ML to make Ankellman a free city. Ban became ML’s sword and one of his closest aides. - In ML’s past life, he ordered his followers to scatter and find asylum elsewhere. Aubert is too clever and regains the Emperor’s favour. - ML starts a new Million company to manage the supplies to Salgera from now on. - The 3rd unit of the Viper knights is sent on a secret mission to eradicate everyone in Salgera. They’re wiped out by Ban who was trying to meet up with ML but they missed each other. - ML delivers the Viper knights’ corpses to Aizen as another chance to provoke Aubert. Aizen agrees to let ML handle the matter. - ML sets up a trap for Salmora and arranges to meet in a remote location with the bodies of Unit 3. Salmora leads Unit 1 of the Viper knights and also brings Kale the Lightning mage with his 3 magic disciples. ML teleports Salmora to have a 1-on-1 battle with Ban. ML and Clever take care of the rest. - ML keeps the 4 mages alive. He gets Kale to absorb a Narworm, a leech species that nests in the heart of it’s host. It must receive mana regularly from ML or else it will explode. Only ML can remove it. - Aizen is delighted with ML’s success. He convenes another emergency meeting. He presents the bodies of Unit 3, then reveals additional evidence with the bodies of the Unit 1 captain and Salmora. Kale was coached by ML to speak as a witness to confirm Aubert sent them to kill Aizen. - Aubert is stripped of everything. He and his household are exiled to Salgera. ML also proposes Mushu join the cooperation pact between Vivaldi and Ankellman. - ML had special magic horseshoes made to help the Shownan horses in the desert. He also advised on the best equipment that suited the desert conditions for the Shownan soldiers. - Benedict Caliph is the rebel leader and former defence minister. He’s the greatest warrior in the desert. - ML volunteers to meet Benedict while the other Counts rescue the Shahatra royal family. ML and Aizen meet Benedict at the Shahatra palace in the capital city. They reach Shaha the eastern desert city. - ML and co. defeat the rebels surrounding Shaha. - The official suppression of the rebels begins. - Oscar and Terrion attack Caliph city while ML and Aizen attack Sultan city. Bernard surprises Oscar and Terrion by appearing in Caliph. Ban arrives before Bernard can kill the 2 Counts. Bernard doesn’t know the rebels at Shaha were defeated. The Shaha forces under the king arrive at Caliph while Bernard is fighting Ban. - ML uses magic to send to Ban the Sultan’s Tear, a family heirloom and a symbol of the Sultan army commander. Bernard realises this means the rebels have been defeated in Sultan. Bernard flees and the Shahatra king regains control of Caliph. - Duke Arthur wants the power of Janus in exchange for helping Bernard. Sir Mordred kidnaps Venus and Sellen. Bernard reveals his 2 hostages at the Shahatra capital. The hostages are released after ML gives Bernard the royal rings bearing the sigils of Ra and Janus. - ML gets Clever to swallow up Bernard. ML fights Bernard in the subspace within Clever. It’s a close match until ML finally awakens his sword aura and defeats Bernard. - Clever delivers the rings, the hostages and ML who is badly injured to the Shahatra king. ML is healed by the king. - The king reclaims the capital. ML asks the king to end the national seclusion policy of the Shahatra kingdom. In exchange ML will secretly teach magic to the Shahatra people. - Aizen’s large contribution in stopping the Shahatra rebellion is acknowledged by the Emperor. Aiken is awarded the Marquis position. At the celebration banquet in the palace, ML retrieves another hidden treasure at the back of the imperial garden. - Luminol’s Anklet absorbs mana from the earth (?) - ML retrieves all of his other treasures hidden at the palace. - Most of Shahatra’s luxury goods were a tribute sold exclusively sold to the imperial family. Under Aizen’s sponsorship, ML will expand production and trade these goods with the nobles. - The Shahatra king uses the power of Janus to resurrect Hector Maier as a death knight. As a warmup, Hector hunts 500 monsters. Clever consumes the monsters and turns into an egg to evolve. Hector can possess corpses of humans, animals and monsters. - Hegler promises ML to become a swordmaster in 1mth. - He trains under Ban. Hegler has to fight Count Dialo and his men. Dialo was the one who harassed Hegler’s wife. - Hegler kills all of Dialo’s men. Aizen has already pardoned Hegler for harming a noble. - ML arranges a trade deal with Fort Caliburn for the resources from the Forest of Evil. ML meets Essellan and Ronan Poram. - ML wants to expand his mercenary corps. - ML wants to become an archmage within 1mth. - Pink Swamp is a specialty Shahatra incense modified by ML with alchemy and magic to make it highly addictive. - Black Tear is a special growth elixir invented by ML. It’s effects and risks are greater than Miracle Blue. ML consumes the elixir and Elagon helps to lessen the pain. ML reaches his 6th circle and the rank of archmage. - ML creates a new magic tower in Salgera. He calls it “Snow Tower.”
