Bing is a daughter of the Ice Palace of the Northern Sea. She doesn’t care for FL and steals her gifts, including her cultivation pills. - Ak Woo Ryeon is the vice sect leader and adopted son of Cheonma who wants to make Ryeon his successor. Cheonma killed Ryeon’s parents. In the novel, 23yo Ryeon later escapes and becomes a great martial artist. He returns with allies to kill Cheonma and his followers. He also kills FL who had an unrequited love for Ryeon. - The 10 Great Demons or Elders get Ryeon to help them secretly watch over FL. They’re big fans and keep sending gifts. - To stop thinking about 3yo FL and the abuse from her mother, Ryeon goes into closed-door cultivation for 2yrs. - When Ryeon emerges, he’s still worried about FL. He then confines Bing to her room with no food and no treatment. - FL continues to be feverish and unwell. - When FL’s body was examined and found to be covered in bruises, Cheonma orders the rest of Bing’s limbs to be severed. - He summons Ryeon and says he knows Ryeon was aware of FL’s mistreatment before he started his cultivation. He will overlook everything if Ryeon saves FL. - Ryeon has pure internal energy which can’t coexist with demonic energy. Cheonma agrees to allow Ryeon to use the Heavenly Purity Dew to open FL’s blood vessels. - FL takes a month to recover and her eyes change to blue. - The Ice Palace has declared war on the Demon Sect. - The red Great Demon “thief king” gives FL some exploding red beads. She gives him a bunch of flowers in return. - The Great Demon “poison king” receives a flower ring after giving FL a jar of Gu poison. - The Great Demon “corpse king” gives FL an ice tree branch that will bloom with rare ice flowers if she feeds it with her internal energy. She gives him a kiss in return. - FL keeps interrupting Ryeon in the cultivation chamber. She’s worried about him and wants to help him. She gives him a pouch full of ice flowers. She leads him to the sect gate and tells him to leave. She knows he wants to be free to live a normal life. - FL is weak from making the ice flowers and cold from the rain. She collapses not long after Ryeon has left. He sees her and returns to take her back to her room to get treated. - 3yrs later, 8yo FL is attacked by an assassin sent by the Ice Palace. Her ice tree branch protects her as she flees. 12yo Ryeon finds her and takes her to a secret passageway that leads to the nearest village. Using Essence Absorption Arts that doesn’t leave any bodies behind, Cheonma kills the assassins from the Black Sect. - FL is treated and will take a month to recover. - During that time, Cheonma leads the Demon Sect to wipe out the Ice Palace and the Black Sect. - Cheonma has been deliberately staying away for years from FL to protect her. He also kept her existence a secret. - FL is now publicly announced as Cheonma’s daughter and the most precious existence to the Demon Sect. - FL had planned to escape by herself when she had enough funds. She decides to stay as she’s experiencing family for the 1st time with her father and the Elders as her grandpas. - FL gives ice flower accessories to Cheonma, her nanny and the Elders. - Cheonma gives approval to the Murim Sect’s request to open the doors of the Demon Sect. They want to investigate what happened to the Ice Palace. Cheonma wants to broaden FL’s horizons by meeting the Murim Sect. It’ll be a month before her 9th bday. - FL has started learning martial arts. She has strong internal energy and is considered a genius. She recreates the White Fire Sword technique of the Ice Palace. - Cheonma agrees to let FL meet the Murim Sect by herself. - The investigation team from the Murim Sect arrive and are greeted at the entrance by FL. She points out the discourtesy shown by the Murim Sect for having different people come to the list of names that was provided. She shows the team to their quarters and introduces them to the Elders. - FL visits Ryeon in the cultivation chamber often to give him food. He warns her not to trust anyone in the Murim Sect team. - He gives her a hand carved butterfly infused with his energy as her bday gift. He secretly wears the ice flower accessory she gave him. *** NB: FL wants to help Ryeong get strong for his revenge. FL also wants to protect her family. So isn’t that contradictory as her father killed Ryeon’s parents? *** - The Murim Sect value honour over justice. In the novel they set a trap to attack after the Demon Sect was made to use force. FL is suspicious of the investigations team, as most of them don’t appear in the novel. - Jegal Hyun, the heir of the Jegal family. - He’s a powerless figure who is overthrown by his younger half sibling as soon as he became master of the house in the novel. - FL has learnt the basics of the Mystic Blade of 100 Blossoms technique. She’s frustrated that she can’t execute it fully yet. Cheonma says she’s already doing well and doesn’t need to rush. - After a week since their arrival, FL has dinner with the investigations team. Jung Hyun the Shaolin monk excuses himself, claiming to be fasting. - FL is given approval by Cheonma to show the cultivation chamber to the team. FL learns that 4 of the team were the children kidnapped 10yrs ago that was blamed on the Demon Sect. In the novel all of the children died. - FL hears the monk’s voice in her head, saying he’ll purify the world by setting himself ablaze and he needs blood for the sacrifice. The 4 who were kidnapped are suddenly possessed. The monk uses a dagger to cut his throat. He self detonates and kills himself with the 4 possessed, as well as blocking the chamber entrance with fallen rocks. - FL and Jegal survive but are injured. - Cheonma arrives and speaks telepathically with FL. He needs her to go somewhere safe while he reopens the entrance. He’ll use his Flaming Ember arts to melt the rocks. - Ryeon was secretly mapping the tunnels as part of his escape plan. He reveals a safe area for FL to go to. FL takes Jegal to the forbidden part of the chamber into the cave tunnels. - She tries to use her ice powers to protect against the heat. She reaches enlightenment on the Mystic Blade of 100 Blossoms. - Suddenly FL finds herself in a cave with a crystal covered ceiling, without Jegal and her ice tree branch. A young boy approaches her. He admits to bringing her down to this cave to eat as his prey. He is actually a 300yo huge snake who woke up from the explosion. - FL tricks the snake to drink a potion given to FL by the king of poisons. With a drop of her blood mixed in, the one to drink it will have to do as FL says. She’s thirsty so the snake shows her it’s Heavenly Purity Dew. It restores her internal energy right away. FL collects the rest of it and then has the snake take her back to Jegal. - Cheonma is about to enter the chamber when the huge snake bursts out with FL and Jegal on its back. - The snake wants to stay by FL’s side. She names him “Heuk”. - Ryeon’s punishment for entering the forbidden tunnels is confinement. FL has Heuk take her to Ryeon. She brings him food and the Heavenly Purity Dew. Heuk and Ryeon become jealous of each other. FL wants to be friendly rivals with Ryeon. - The king of poison tells FL that Heuk as a mystical creature could have imprinted on her. The effects of the potion might disappear when Heuk next sheds his skin. FL wants to set Heuk free as she’s worried he’ll come to harm if he stays with her. - At the Demon Sect meeting, FL explains what happened with the monk. The Demon Sect will most likely be blamed for this incident, just like the kidnapping 10yrs ago due to lack of evidence. FL wants to try and convince Jegal to be on their side. - FL starts learning the sword dance from Ryeon. He learnt it by watching his mother. FL wants to perform the sword dance at her bday. Ryeong gives her a sword as a gift. - While looking into what the monk said, FL finds a book titled “Asura” in the library but she can’t read it. - The ice tree branch is jealous and breaks FL’s sword. She has to use the branch in the sword dance now. - One night, Heuk grows up and his body has changed. - It happened after he thought that he really wanted to be like Ryeon and be the one to protect FL. - FL asks Heuk to keep an eye on the building Jegal is staying in. She thinks assassins from the Murim Sect will come for Jegal. - FL asks Jegal to look at the Asura book. He says he can help to decipher it. FL wants Jegal to testify against the Murim Sect. In return, she’ll help him retain his position as head of the family rather than losing it to his half brother. - 3 assassins are detected by Heuk and he alerts FL. Heuk traps them in a spell. FL has the Elders interrogate them. - The assassins insist it was Cheonma who gave the order, then they all die at the same time as if cursed. - Jegal agrees to testify. The Elders promise FL to help Jegal become stronger. They spread rumours that Jegal is dead. - FL goes into town with Ryeon and Heuk to buy weapons. She asks Ryeon to choose something for his bday. - Ryeon picks an ice sword. FL also gets daggers for Heuk. - The trade merchants who were late with their shipments say they won’t do business there anymore. The Murim Sect won’t protect any merchants travelling to the Demon Sect. Trade has always been blocked in past conflicts between the Murim and Demon Sects. - For FL’s bday, she asks for an arm wrestling competition to be held among the servants. A generous prize is offered to the winner. - FL used the competition to identify the Murim Sect spy. - FL performs the sword dance with the ice flower branch. - FL confronts the spy who uses the same method as the Shaolin monk to self detonate.

Ch 62 as of 09/02/22 ** some bad translation - Lazia / Lachia House is known for the Viridescent Crown (a tiara adorned with emeralds) that belongs to the mistress. The mistress who wears this is hoped to spread benevolence (extension of viridescence blessing). - Lazia is the only noble bloodline that predates the Empire. - Long ago, a great mage pushed back the darkness and sealed it behind huge white doors in the mountain behind Sky castle. The Lazia family are guardians of these doors that are inspected in an annual ritual. It’s done at the start of the year by the head of the Lazia family using the ring of the blue flame. - Lazia knights: - Sir Ross (FL’s temp guard, ML’s spy and personal guard since ML was a young boy), an arrogant knight who hates FL. - Sir Blaine Wilde (Captain) - The ring of the Blue Flame: contains a fire spirit that only recognises the head of the Lazia family. Burns anyone else who tries to wear ring. At a family meeting, FL is able to wear the ring after she secretly calls it’s name to calm the spirit. Accepted as the master of the blue flame despite not having Lazia blood, FL claims her legitimacy as the next head. - 3 families serve Lazia House: Lance, Wilde, Illuminity - 3 duchy of the empire: Lazia (“Ice Wall”, north), Miro (“White Silver”, central) and Usla (“The Roses”, south) - FL died in a car accident and is reborn in the world of a story she wrote. She’s Ran Romea de Lazia, the evil older step-sister of ML Eustaph / Yustaf La Van de Lazia (no blood relation). - FL wants to make amends to regain trust so ML won’t kill her, and to ensure the future happiness of ML as the main character. She knows he cares deeply about Lazia. - NB: FL has the same 1st name as the body she possessed. - FL’s mother started abusing ML after the youngest son was born. - ML’s mother died from an illness. When she was sick, the Duke was already courting FL’s mother. - ML’s mother taught him to be emotionless and cold. - ML was sent away to the Imperial Academy when he was young after falling on FL (which killed her in the original story). She suggested it to protect him. - They don’t meet again until the funeral of their parents and younger brother who all died in a carriage accident. - At the funeral, FL tells ML that she’s on his side and will make sure everything is handed over to him when he becomes an adult. - At the family meeting, FL proposed to be the temp duchy head for 2yrs until ML graduates from the Academy and he officially becomes an adult at 19yo / 20yo. After that FL will hand over the position of head to ML. Everyone is forced to accept this after FL is acknowledged by the ring of blue flame. - She is content to erase all traces of her identity and leave Lazia after ML becomes head. - FL addresses as a priority the debt and bad finances of the Lazia duchy. FL uncovers extensive accountancy fraud and fires the accountant after confiscating their property. She has the administrator sell all of the other properties and assets. - FL arranges for the knights to search for a cave and make the early discovery of a pure mana crystal mine in the Ice Wall mountain range. The mine has enormous reserves and a high purity of mana stones. It was meant to be discovered later in the story. - Golden Rose owner and half-elf Levory Liberty meets with FL for the 1st time. They agree to sign a lucrative 1yr contract for Golden Rose to have exclusive rights to sell the pure “ice crystal” mana stones. Levory recognised the unique and high quality of these mana stones would bring about revolutionary changes in the world, as well as enormous profits. - FL collapsed from overwork after a nosebleed. ML visited her and she asked him not to kill her in what she thought was a dream. - ML returned after graduating early as the top student. - ML asks FL to let him help her with the work. - FL’s uncle Baron Rindbirg / Lindbergh tries to take over as head thru FL by telling her that her mother owed him money, and proposing marriage with his gambling womaniser of a son to wipe the debt. They repay that debt in one go with interest. - ML exposed and punished the uncle and his son for trying to rape FL after drugging her. Also ML found out their informants in the household after 3 days of interrogating the son. The uncle lost his title and succession rights. His properties were confiscated and they were expelled and banished from the territory. The son later dies in a fight, which was set up secretly by the Shadows … - While FL was unconscious for 3 days after being drugged, she met with spirits. They include the fire spirit from the ring of the blue flame and the spirit of the black spear from the Usla duchy. - She found out from them that she’s a reader or prophet, someone who happened to write about this world that already existed. She read about this world and when she wrote about it, that became a prophecy. - FL tells ML not to worry as she won’t be killed by him anymore and will even fight back. She sees him as a real human, and not as a story character whose sufferings she felt guilty about writing. - They agree on a partnership / alliance going forward. FL wants to be paid an allowance in her own name. - Viridescent Shadows: secret in-house spy organisation answering only to ML for now. He has them following and spying on FL. - FL is seeking the other male protagonist, Lumiere - FL wants to pave the way for the one meant to be with ML, the female protagonist Sheena - FL pays back the loans in full to their vassals after selling her mother’s jewellery through Levory. - FL met with the elf healer Haresh about red mana stones from the mine. Then Haresh went with FL to visit the sick daughter of the Illuminity vassal who is prescribed a cure. In return FL asks to make use of Count Falton Illuminity’s connections to the underworld to find Lumiere before he experiences further hardship. - FL employs exclusive, in-house magic craftspeople to create products for use around the estate and territory, with the potential to sell them externally. For example, a magic tool that grows warmth called “calesce” that’s good for heating items like blankets. - She also looks into tree sap as a more affordable, locally made alternative to expensive sugar. - FL wants to establish Lazia as the nexus of interracial trade for the mana stones and other goods, ie humans, elves (red) and dwarves (blue). FL gets agreement from the magicians guild to act as intermediaries with the dwarves to facilitate trade. In exchange she will provide the guild with reasonably priced mana stones. She will also remain silent about their secret weakness. - NB: Human magicians lose their magic if they are near red or blue mana stones, which is a secret weakness. That is why they can’t approach the Ice Wall. - After taking a month to travel from Lazia, FL arrives at the capital to meet the imperial family, partake in the social season there, and host prestigious parties to promote the catalogue of Lazia-made magic products, ie Pegasus wings. She stays at the Viridescent Arch, which was built for the Lazia family by the 1st Emperor. - FL receives a lot of unwelcome attention from potential suitors. - Levory introduces FL to a good dressmaker to stop FL from wearing her shorter mother’s altered dresses. - Marquis Cameron declared a territorial war on Lazia due to the threat to his monopoly over the mana stone market and the magic craftsmen’s guild. He also made a secret deal with the Emperor to obtain imperial approval to start the war. If he won, the Marquis would give a 50% stake in the ice crystal mine to the Emperor. - He is defeated by ML in 3 days due to the folly of waging war in the midst of the harsh Lazia winter, and because he greatly underestimated ML. ML killed his son who challenged ML to a duel and lost. - After war was declared, the Shadows revealed themselves to 20yo FL. They are now hers to command next to 18yo ML. They had a message from ML that victory was assured. - ML travels to the capital to see FL. She buys him new clothes right away due to his recent growth spurt. - At the war reparations meeting in the palace, ML stops the daughter of the Marquis from slapping FL. He says her father’s greed caused her brother’s death. - Empress Katya la Martell, pressuring Olivia for a son. - Crown Princess Olivia Fran la Martell, ex-Miro duchy. - In the story, Olivia was a villainess who poisoned the Crown Prince and fell in love with ML. She tried to kill Sheena. - ML received intel that Olivia is secretly taking contraceptives. - The trashy, womanising and stupid 28yo Crown Prince already has a wife of 3yrs (Olivia) and 2 illegitimate kids. He is lewd and sexually harassing FL, much to her disgust. He tries to make a deal with ML to “take FL off his hands” and help ML become the Lazia head sooner. - 2nd Prince Ravel Monia la Martell 26yo is invited for a private meeting with FL at the Viridescent Arch. She wants to be on friendly terms with him. She confirms that she’s not interested in him as a marriage candidate. Earlier FL told ML that she doesn’t believe the Crown Prince is suitable to be the next Emperor. - ML briefly meets the 2nd Prince who senses ML’s possessiveness over an unsuspecting FL. - Devan Dusk la Miro, Olivia’s older brother and head of the Miro duchy. He approaches FL at an imperial ball. - Marquis Callum / Caroque and Lizzie Kyrix, FL’s new friends that she made in the capital. They invite FL and ML for a picnic. - Haresh visited FL to deliver an elven made sword that she’d ordered for ML’s bday. - FL is notified by Illuminity that Lumiere has been found. - He’s being forced to fight in an illegal arena while his younger sister is held hostage. FL will have to rescue them both. - FL asks Levory to help construct a false identity for FL in preparation for her life after ML becomes head. - Levory agrees to do this as a favour for FL. - FL extends the contract with Golden Rose for another year, which this time includes a discount in fees. - At an outdoor ball in the Imperial Palace Garden, FL dances with the 2nd Prince. Knowing the story, FL is concerned that Olivia has fallen for ML when she sees Olivia dancing with ML. - 2nd Prince Ravel tells FL that it was the Crown Prince who asked the Emperor for special permission to invite ML to the ball. Ravel suspects the Crown Prince’s intentions. - While taking a walk alone, FL is met by the Crown Prince. He grabs her when she tries to leave and she tells him to let her go. ML arrives and kicks the Crown Prince away from FL. ML challenges the Crown Prince to a duel after he sees the large bruises on FL’s arms. They leave the ball amidst the cries of treason by the Crown Prince. Embarrassed, the Empress tells him to stop and also leaves. - Shocked and upset, FL is comforted by ML on the way back in the carriage. Back at the Arch, FL and ML explain what happened to the head butler, head maid and Sir Blaine. They encourage the staff to spread rumours that favour FL to help decrease public support for the Crown Prince. - ML and FL meet with the Emperor to drive a wedge in his relationship with the Crown Prince. They pander to the Emperor’s ego and he gives permission for the duel to proceed. He promises to make the Crown Prince himself partake in the duel and not a proxy. - Olivia had intended to use the Crown Prince as her puppet. - Now to sway public opinion back in her favour, she will throw away the Crown Prince and considers having him die in the duel so she’ll be seen as the poor widow. - Marquis Callum accepts FL’s request for him to spar with ML as his training partner in the lead up to the duel. - Demodia Rouste (Dia), is assigned by ML as FL’s new lady-in-waiting and is a Viridescent Shadow guard. - Sir Blaine recommends Sir Ross as FL’s 2nd guard. - (ch 52) The duel: ML can tell that magic was used on the Crown Prince’s sword. ML makes him drop his sword once. After ML’s sword shatters from the magic, ML knocks out the Crown Prince with a knee to the face. ML wins the duel and news of the cheating Crown Prince’s humiliation spreads quickly. - ML visits 2nd Prince Ravel to remind him of his obligations as a member of the imperial family (ie become the Emperor instead of the stupid Crown Prince). ML offers himself to be used by Ravel. - FL is notified by Count Illuminity that he’s rescued Lumiere’s sister, Lily. The owner of Lumiere is insisting on meeting FL as the buyer. FL secretly goes undercover with Dia and Count Illuminity at night to meet the owner Arka at an inn located in the poor part of the city. FL sees Lumiere for the 1st time. - FL reveals to Arka that she was behind the rescue of Lily who is in her safekeeping now. Arka tells his men to attack FL but in a flash, Lumiere kills Arka and his men. - Lumiere kneels before FL, kisses her feet and calls her “Master.” He shows a secret passage to FL that they all escape through. - FL takes Lumiere to where Lily is and removes his chains. - He has an emotional reunion with Lily, who is very sick from the drugs that Arka was giving her. - FL tells Lumiere that he is his own master and she gives his freedom to him. She offers him the choice of bringing Lily with FL to Lazia so Haresh can examine her. He decides to follow FL. - FL returns to the Arch and is surprised to see ML waiting for her. She briefly explains the situation but ML is angry at FL for endangering her life and he was worried about her. - The journey back to Lazia: Lily is travelling with FL in the carriage. FL confirms with ML that she didn’t ask Lumiere to assassinate ML and she isn’t in any way romantically involved with Lumiere. FL tells Lumiere that she doesn’t expect anything from him. It’ll take time for him to believe her as he was deceived and used all of his life. - Dwarves come to see FL at Lazia. They are delivering the new armour that was commissioned for the Lazia knights. They also wish to see the mine.

Ch 77 as of 12/07/22 - also on Tapas ** translation is crap for some chapters. - FL one day woke up as “evil stepmother” Mildred 37yo. Daughter of Earl / Count Murphy, 1st husband Baron Rivera, 2nd husband Fred Barnes who was a failed business man. - Eldest daughter: Iris 19yo. Righteous, smart, athletic, earnest and good at almost everything. - 2nd daughter: Lily 18yo. Good at drawing, interested in fashion design and art. - Stepdaughter: 17yo Ashley (“Cinderella”), foolish and clumsy. - Count Gary and Countess Sandra Murphy: Gary is FL’s brother, Sandy is FL’s best friend. - To save money, the servants were all let go and the family does all of the housework in their large mansion. - The family are invited to the debutante ball at the royal palace. - They first literally meet by accident 32yo Baron Daniel Walford (ML) and 22yo Crown Prince (in disguise) while shopping downtown. FL was knocked over by the Prince, injuring her knees and ruining her dress. ML gives FL a ring to present at the Fairy’s Fountain restaurant (which he owns) as compensation. - As the family struggle to find a dressmaker, they meet Davina who takes them to her small tailor shop and tends to FL’s injuries. As thanks, FL commissions Davina to make the debutante ball dresses for her daughters. - FL meets ML again at her brother’s during a social gathering. FL accepts a carriage ride home from ML. He organises a doctor and dressmaker to go to her place the next day. ML arrives with them. He sees a painting that he’d like to get appraised for her as it could be a masterpiece. - FL is sexually harassed by Count Leroy at a royal palace event she attends with her brother (his wife is sick). FL kicks Leroy and ends up dislocating his ankle. She meets ML again. - The Crown Prince is disguised as a commoner Leon. He socialises with FL’s daughters on a picnic together. ML is also there. - Ashley tries to smooth out the wrinkles in Iris’ debutante dress but ends up burning several holes instead. FL creates flowers from matching fabric to cover the holes and they later cause a sensation at the ball. ML and Leon provide a carriage to the ball for FL’s family as compensation for knocking over FL. - Ashley is asked to dance before her sisters, so Iris’ first dance is with Count Gary. Lily’s first dance is with ML. - FL helps to remove red wine spilled on the dress of another girl called Marsha. With Countess Valerie Jackson, the Queen Dowager secretly observes what happens and approves of FL. - The painting is verified to be by Kyle the famous artist, but ML advises against making it public for now. ML asks FL for the opportunity to examine the other paintings in her mansion. - FL is invited to a tea party by the Queen Dowager (QD). FL is escorted by ML. When discussing whether or not to share FL’s floral design, FL and the QD disagree on the role that noble women have in society. The QD is very naive and idealistic, while FL is much more realistic. - A Viscountess offers to buy the rights to the floral design and share them exclusively with FL. - After a hypothetical discussion with Countess Miranda Bern, the Queen Dowager (QD) meets FL secretly and apologises for treating her rudely last time. The QD offers FL anything and FL asks for her support in anything FL does in the future. - FL’s family attend an event hosted by Marquis Wayne and Isabelle Rowan. She is dressed as Bella the Golden Fairy who helped the great hero Jeddah construct this country. He then invites Iris (and her family) to attend the opera with him and ML. - FL makes a deal with ML to create unique desserts for his restaurant after he tried her cream puffs for the 1st time. - At the opera, FL’s family are taken by ML and Leon to the 2nd best seats in the house (next to the seats reserved for royalty). They meet Marsha from the debutante ball. She’s under the care of Count Gregory and his wife. - After going to the bathroom, Lily meets Marsha who asks Lily to escort her to her seat. Waiting for them is Preston, the son of Count Gregory who is obsessed and violent with Marsha. Lily protects Marsha by pushing Preston and gets Marsha to her seat. Preston corners Lily and is stopped from hitting her by Sir Casey. - Lily disagrees with Sir Casey when he advises her to avoid fights against those stronger than her in the future. She won’t turn a blind eye if the other person is doing or saying something that is wrong. - Lily is disappointed Sir Casey doesn’t recognise her from the masquerade ball. She returns to her seat. - FL speaks with Baroness Amy Nicholas at the opera. Her face resembles a portrait that was painted by Kyle. - The Baroness’ mother lived in FL’s mansion and she has her mother’s diary which might hold more clues. - FL gives permission for Lily to learn drawing from ML. - Jim is a new servant for FL’s family, paid for by FL’s brother. - FL teaches the floral design to Davina. FL asks Davina to make the dress for the Queen Consort (?). The dress is worn at a tea party and receives great reviews. - FL and ML meet the Baroness at his restaurant. They brought the portrait and the Baroness confirms it’s her mother when she was young. FL gives the portrait to the Baroness in exchange for borrowing the diary to look through it. They find reference to a close friend called Kyla who ran away from home and lived with the Baroness’ mother in the mansion. - Iris receives her 1st present from a man, a bouquet of flowers from Mr Webster. He’s old enough to be her father, with children close in age to Iris. - ML and FL visit the mansion where Kyle may have lived, according to the diary. Records show Kyla Shaw, the youngest child of a Baron died at 18yo. The old butler retrieves some sketches of the mansion and gives them to FL. - FL’s family join Iris in an open carriage date with Mr Webster. ML and Leon are passing by in another carriage and stop to say a brief hello. Later ML and Leon have dinner with FL’s family. - ML tells FL more about Kyla. She left the mansion and sold her paintings to pay for the small flat she moved into. She died in hospital. ML advises FL to bury all knowledge of Kyla and to sell the painting under Kyle. FL is angry when she realises the value of the painting will drop simply because the artist is a woman. - FL is worried about Lily’s future as an artist. - ML shocks FL when he says he’s interested in FL, not in Lily. - The next day ML brings some dessert prototypes based on FL’s recipes for her family to try. Encouraged by her daughters, FL accepts ML’s offer to escort her to the next ball. - ML also brought a large bouquet of flowers for FL. - Mr Webster arrives unannounced with an ugly hat as a gift for Iris. When he asks for compensation, FL rejects the gift and his proposal on behalf of Iris. After he leaves, FL tells Iris to clearly decline his proposal if he approaches her again. Iris was going to accept as he was rich and she feels responsible for her sisters. FL says it’s her responsibility as the mother, while she wants her daughters to be responsible for themselves. - Leon gives Iris a bouquet of flowers, as advised by ML. - Mr Webster sends a threatening letter to Iris. She only tells her sisters about it. Lily is against anyone marrying Mr Webster but Iris and Ashley are considering his proposal. - At a ball, ML escorts FL. The girls are looked after by Sandy. After dancing with ML, FL notices Iris and Ashley are missing. Lily confesses that they’ve gone outside to meet Mr Webster. - FL is furious and smashes a wine glass. She overhears Mr Webster offering to take Iris as his wife and Ashley as his mistress. FL threatens to kill Mr Webster but is stopped by ML. The girls are sent inside by FL while ML lets Mr Webster leave. - Leon pulls Iris aside and hears about what happened. He offers to marry Iris instead but she rejects him and tells him to let her go. - The next day, a news article falsely reports the incident and portrays Mr Webster as the poor innocent victim. - ML visits FL to let her know that he has a buyer for the painting. After some discussion, they agree to sell it to Philip Casey. He’s the younger brother of Marquis Casey and Sir Casey’s uncle. FL intends to reveal that Kyle is a woman and hopes Philip will try to raise her value as an artist since he’s invested in her as he already owns several of her paintings. - FL’s desserts are selling well at ML’s restaurant. He placed a limit on the number of desserts sold per day to increase their popularity and demand. - FL submits the letter from Mr Webster to Iris as proof of his lies and threats to the newspapers and the correct account of what happened is published on their front pages. FL’s brother spoke about the incident at his club and everyone condemns Mr Webster. - FL lets ML stay at her residence after there’s a fire at his place. - ML brings 2 servants and a (rude) cook with him. - ML insists FL go with him to an art exhibition. FL has Lily join them. It’s a gallery opening to exhibit the private collection of Baron Gus, a close friend of Mr Webster. Elena, Baron Gus’ daughter, is in love with ML and shows them around the gallery. - Mr Webster causes a commotion at the gallery as he tries to see FL among the crowd. On the way he pushes some of the sculptures on display and a large one starts to fall near Elena. FL uses her body to protect Elena and ML stops the sculpture from falling with one hand to protect FL. - ML intentionally says he was protecting FL as the woman he loves so that Elena would hear. Then ML, FL and Lily leave the gallery. - ML offers to ask a friend of his to display Lily’s paintings. Lily declines as she doesn’t want to depend on someone’s favour to do that, meaning she’d prefer for her talent to be recognised by the market instead. - As rumours spread that Kyle is a woman, FL uses the rivalry between Philip Casey and another Kyle collector, Mr Buoy to increase interest in Kyle’s works. Philip visits FL to invite her to an exhibition of his art collection. She asks Lily and ML to go with her. - FL speaks privately with Lily about ML. Lily clears up FL’s misunderstanding and says ML is a good match for FL and not for herself. FL says she has no intention of being involved with any man until everything concerning Fred is resolved. - There are rumours about the selection of marriage candidates for Crown Prince Giuseppe Adreon Charclaire. FL must control the flow of her Qi to prevent her death. - After meditating and cultivating the energy on her own, FL opens all 12 meridians in her body. Gunwoo acts very clumsy every time he’s with FL. - All correspondence from the Moyong clan to the Eon clan estate is being intercepted. Jin Soye copies the maid’s handwriting and sends fake replies. - Gunwoo is worried about accidentally hurting FL with his large stature. He sees FL as petite, delicate and fragile. - FL challenges Gunwoo to spar with her to prove him wrong. She defeats him and brings him to the ground. - Saryong saw them spar and provides them with his critique. He offers to teach them both together so they can learn from eachother. - Gunwoo likes FL and wants her to stay in Jinju. - Gunwoo is secretly a prince who left the royal palace long ago. - The Seok heir arrives at the Eon clan estate to take back Jin Soye who was sold to him. He leaves with the promise that FL will visit him but she does so disguised as an assassin along with her guards. She feeds him a drug (Baekryun flower) that he was going to use on her. The drug brainwashes him to obey her commands then he dies from overdosing on the drug. They start a fire as a cover up. - Eon Seo Yeon, FL’s mother and a female physician. - Seo Yeon was stopped from learning martial arts by Saryong because he thought the world of Murim was too dangerous. That’s when she switched to learning medicinal arts. - Saryong regrets his decision now that Seo Yeon is dead. - He wants FL to live freely and to live as she pleases. - Saryong gives FL a valuable Golden Pill to take. The pill is good for those with weaker physical bodies. - To gather evidence first before notifying the Murim authorities, FL disguises herself and enters the black market alone using a ticket taken from the Seok clan. Her guards are on standby outside. - She wants to investigate the drug made from the Baekryun flower. She finds an arena where Cheonho the Mountain God, a huge white tiger, is wearing restraints. Byuk Seogun, a famous Murim master, is forced to fight the tiger. - Under the influence of the Baekryun flower, Byuk Seogun is so intent on destroying Cheonho that he creates a Qi cannon that could wipe out the entire arena. FL interrupts the fight and creates her own Qi cannon to absorb the one by Byuk Seogun. - FL succeeds and then knocks Byuk Seogun out. She frees Cheonho from his restraints and he escapes. Byuk Seogun dies from a drug overdose and his broken body. - Namgoong Jiha is undercover at the arena and he creates a Qi sword to kill the thugs that run into the arena. - FL questions Og Hwi the leader about the Baekryun flower. He got the drug from the Namhaedo Plains. Before FL can make Og Hwi tell her who his superiors are, he is killed by a poisoned dagger. - The dagger grazes FL’s mask which forces her to take it off as the poison burned through. - Observing secretly from the trees near the arena, FL’s step-cousin Moyong Hwi was the one who killed Og Hwi (He is Moyong Bi’s nephew and heir to the Moyong clan). - Namgoong Jiha suspects FL of planning to do something to him again and asks about her intentions. Gunwoo suddenly arrives and interrupts them. He ignores Jiha and leads FL away by the hand. (Gunwoo was jealous when he saw her with Jiha) - Later that night, Cheonho visits FL at her window. As thanks, he gives her a special sword and one of his claws. He doesn’t know how he was captured but a powerful evil energy appeared that caused him to faint. When he awoke he was in restraints that sealed away his godly powers. - FL decides to return to the Dang clan estate in Sacheon to get stronger there before the Demon Sect starts to move. - Before FL leaves, Gunwoo gives her a mando looking glass that can be used to communicate with eachother. - FL decides to make a detour on the way and stop by Unnan / Yunnan mountain. There is a great amount of a precious metal (Geumkang ore) buried in the mountain that is yet to be discovered. This ore is the toughest and rarest material in Murim. - At the base of the mountain they come across a village in a very bad state. The villagers are all starving and there is no water. The cause is a 4000yo demon serpent (single horn fire python) that has settled in the area and has poisoned all of the surroundings. - Lee Jagang, the future Hermit Master and a great Murim warrior. This boy saves Jin Soye and gives her the antidote after she faints when she got too close to the miasma at night. His parents and older sister were killed by the serpent and he plans to avenge them. FL reminds him of his sister. - FL and her group encounter the giant serpent at night in the forest and it strangely keeps targeting Jin Soye. FL cracks a scale when no one else has been able to. The serpent floods the ground around it with water to prepare to escape. The serpent strikes one last time and FL is swallowed by the serpent as she pushes Jin Soye out of the way. The serpent disappears, taking FL with it. - Having faith that FL is still alive, Jin Soye figures out the mystical beast spell that uncovers the hidden cave of the serpent. - Suddenly FL emerges after cutting her way out of the serpent’s stomach using Cheonho’s claw. - The cave was chosen by the serpent as it’s hideout because it wanted to hide the precious Geumkang ore. In the back of the cave FL finds a shrine and a book called “Records of the Gods on Earth.” The book mentions “the Chosen One” as one who is from another world, a stranger from another universe. They are the only one who can stand against a god. FL takes the book to look at later. - Back at the village, FL tries to negotiate with the village chief about mining the ore. He insists on FL taking full ownership of the mining operation and that she receives 100% of the profits. - The chief agrees to accept 10% of the profits if FL accepts the villagers as her people. They want to swear an oath to her. - FL is contacted by Gunwoo who comforts her as she feels the weight of responsibility from those who put their trust in her. - She asks Gunwoo would he come running if she said she missed him. He replies if she allows him to. - Jagang decides to follow FL and joins her group. - At the end of the village celebrations, a very drunk FL says “I will protect you all until the day I die.” - Later FL feeds the powerful core of the serpent to her guards to improve their Qi and vitality. - Back in Sacheon, FL visits the branch manager of the 8 star merchant’s guild. She suspects the guild captured and sold Cheonho to the black market near Jinju. She also hopes the guild might have more info on the Baekryun flower. - FL made a fake deal using a sample of Geumkang ore after she showed him the black market entry ticket. - The branch manager tries to kill her but she defeats him easily after turning most of his men against him. He had been blackmailing Dang clansmen (men loyal to the Dang clan) by buying their debt contracts and using these against them. The guild was slowly taking control of the Dang clan and eroding the Dang clan’s power. - From the secret books and laundering ledgers kept by the guild manager, there is a wider network of corruption at play that points to the Moyong clan and the Demon Sect. FL entrusts the Dang clansmen to take over the operations of the guild, and she asks them to stand with her and be her strength. - FL assigns Jin Soye to be responsible for the guild’s management of the White Scorpion Merchant’s group that are trading in the western and southern regions. Jin Soye pretends to be Moyong Bi and forges messages to this group who operate in secret without any direct contact. - Namgoong Jiha visits Gunwoo at the Eon estate. He wants to confirm Gunwoo is an ally and not with the Demon Sect. Namgoong Jiha suspects the Demon Sect of kidnapping and using well-known Murim experts as ‘shells’, ie puppets that become intoxicated by the Baekryun flower. Namgoong Jiha also reveals he knows Gunwoo is secretly a prince. - At the Dang clan estate, FL meets with Chamberlain Jin who has been investigating after the hints he received earlier from FL. - He confirms Moyong Bi has been replacing the jewellery and other treasured valuables with fakes. Moyong Bi also had a hidden stash of the poisonous herb that she was giving to FL for years. FL says Haejun might not be the best option for heir and she should have a seat at the upcoming noble clan conference. - To replace the stolen capital by her stepmother for the Moyong clan, FL hands a map to the chamberlain with instructions for mining the Geumkang ore found in the cave of the serpent. - FL asks that he also put together a new martial arts squad led by Yang Bang Shik. - FL visits Jaegal Hee to apologise and to give her a sword (originally given to FL by the tiger god). The conservative Jaegal clan prefers their women to focus on studies and not martial arts, but Jaegal Hee always dreamt of becoming a swordswoman. - Jaegal Hee denies being Namgoong Jiha’s lover to her older brother Jaegal Ihwa (the Jaegal clan heir). - She was secretly learning sword skills from Namgoong Jiha. - Namgoong Hwan, headmaster of the Namgoong clan. - Noble clan general conference: hosted by the Hwang clan who frame young master Dang with the murder of one of their own. They challenge the Dang clan to a sect duel battle and have Gu Maji, a Murim champion not related to the Hwang clan already prepared. If the Hwang clan win, they want the Dang clan to step down from its position as 1 of the 5 great noble clans. - Before her father Mujin or Gunwoo steps up, FL leaps into the arena as the Dang representative. FL uses the Dang clan assassination arts and what her maternal grandpa taught her to defeat Gu Maji. - FL has the tavern owner brought up and he admits he was paid by the Hwang clan to put a drug into the wine of the noble who died. Mujin ask the Hwang clan to leave the alliance which many consider to be a light and merciful punishment. - FL tells Mujin about being poisoned by Moyong Bi and how the Eon clan have helped in her martial arts training. - FL is visited by Sah Okcheon, the 12th Branch Manager of the Murim Alliance. She was impressed by FL’s strength of character that she showed at the duel battle. She invites her to join the Murim Alliance and meet the other Branch Managers. - At the Dang estate, Jin Soye overhears Headmaster Moyong Seokgoon ordering his sister Moyong Bi to commission the Black Assassin Squad to kill FL and Mujin before they return. Jin Soye right away sends a message about this to warn FL. - Jagang received the message but Gunwoo saw it before FL. Gunwoo kills the Black Assassin Squad who were meeting nearby. Then he shows the message to FL and Mujin. - Gunwoo thinks the Moyong clan might be involved in the Baekryun flower. The clan could also be allies of the Demon Sect. - In the Dang storeroom, Chamberlain Jin discovers Elder Dang Hyomun is smuggling out Dang weapons in bags of rice. The elder tries to kill the chamberlain by making the storeroom collapse. - Chamberlain Jin is saved by Jin Soye who used formation arts (spells) to create an illusion. Jin Soye is caught by the elder but is saved by FL. Jin Soye helps to create the illusion that on the way home Haejun in the carriage is attacked by assassins. - Haejun, FL and Mujin arrive back at the Dang estate. - Haejun tells Moyong Bi that they were attacked by assassins. Mujin says the assassins were dealt with. The guards caught and killed Elder Hyomun while he was running away with the clan’s important documents. Haejun thinks the elder planned the assassins. - As a child Moyong Hwi was forced to swallow the body of a centipede parasite by his father, Moyong Seokgoon. - Seokgoon swallowed the head of the centipede which gave him control of the centipede’s body inside Moyong Hwi. This is the “go poison” given to Seokgoon by the cult leader but it wasn’t meant to be used on Moyong Hwi. - Seokgoon wants control of the Dang clan as he needs the clan’s expertise to further research the Baekryun flower. - Seokgoon’s goal is to become stronger than the Demonic Sect Headmaster (tbc). - The cult leader is Moyong Hwi’s true master. The cult leader is hiding his presence and demonic Qi by secretly possessing the body of a girl and pretending to be Moyong Hwi’s younger sister. - When demonic Qi is released, the cult leader’s possessed body starts to break apart. This won’t happen when the cult leader regains the full powers of the Demon God. - The cult leader isn’t the Demonic Sect Headmaster (?) - While walking in the garden of the Dang estate at night, FL is missing Gunwoo. He surprises FL with his sudden appearance. - Gunwoo learnt the flying steps martial arts so he could rush to her side whenever needed. He says he will always be by her side and she can always lean on him. FL realises she has feelings for Gunwoo. (Ch 50) - Gunwoo continues to make surprise visits to FL at night. - With the demise of Elder Hyomun, most of the agents for the Moyong clan leave the Dang clan. As a result the Dang clan becomes deserted after all of the spies are removed. - After all of her plans were ruined, Moyong Bi refuses to eat and hides herself away. - Moyong Bi knows that her brother Seokgoon will have her killed. - In a final act of mercy, FL visits Moyong Bi and leaves with her the same poison Moyong Bi gave to FL to use on Jaegal Hee. - Moyong Bi has the option of a fast and painless death rather than dying slowly. Moyong Bi was originally planning to use the fumes of the poisonous incense she used on FL over the years. - Moyong Bi regrets not killing FL when she found out FL had a talent for martial arts. Moyong Bi may have let FL live out of kinship as they were both women who could be sold like objects. - Moyong Bi kills herself. In her will she confesses to poisoning Jaegal Hee. She was used by her clan to control the Dang clan. - The mourning period ends almost 2mths after the funeral ritual for Moyong Bi. A large number of martial artists gather outside of the Dang estate. They are the Dang clansmen from the 8 star merchant’s guild that FL had helped. They ask to be accepted into the Dang estate. They came as soon as they heard about the state of the Dang clan from the Eon clan. They felt indebted to FL for saving them and wanted to repay that debt. - Haejun says to Mujin that he will step down as the heir of the Dang clan. Mujin meets with FL and tells her about Haejun’s decision. Mujin acknowledges everything FL has accomplished by making her the clan heir. Soon after, Mujin announces FL as the heir before everyone in the Dang estate. - Thanks to FL, it’s a new beginning for the Dang clan, with the internal corruption eradicated and new blood in the ranks. - Haejun asks a favour of FL to support the proposal for the Dang clan’s poison department to do more research on antidotes. - Seokgoon tells Moyong Hwi to keep close to Haejun. - One night FL is attacked by assassins in her room while she’s talking to Gunwoo via the looking glass. FL uses her Qi to fight a woman with a whip. FL is grazed by a poisoned dagger. The woman reveals the poison used was created by the Dang clan. - Gunwoo suddenly appears and he decapitates the woman. The 2 other assassins watching are forced to retreat. - The assassins were sent by Moyong Seokgoon. One of them was Moyong Hwi who confirms Pure Death was used on FL. - The lethal poison called Pure Death was created by the Dang clan and it was banned by the royal family. It was recently stolen from the royal treasury vault. - There is no antidote and anyone other than FL would have died right away. Mujin reveals a secret medicinal pill that’s only passed down to the heir of the Dang clan. The pill enables you to become immune to 10k poisons. You can also become as powerful as poison itself. If FL can't overcome the intensity of this pill, she’ll die from the poison. FL doesn’t hesitate to take the pill as she’d rather die while trying to overcome Pure Death than do nothing at all. - The Dang estate is attacked again by the assassins under Seokgoon’s orders. Everyone engages the assassins as they try to take FL who is struggling with the effects of the pill. - FL’s strength of will to survive and protect her people overcomes the pill and she fights back against the assassins. She kills them all using the secret arts of the Dang clan. - Moyong Hwi was again observing and leaves. After Moyong Hwi is punished by Seokgoon, the cult leader reveals himself to Seokgoon. The people who were released provide their testimonies about what happened there. - Seokgoon is furious that the research and experimental facilities were destroyed. - During the Apricot Flower Festival in Sichuan, it’s customary to wear masks. Moyong Hwi approaches FL for personal reasons and not under orders this time. She says the crimes the Moyong clan have committed against the Dang clan will not be forgiven. - Moyong Hwi intends to destroy the Moyong clan. He warns FL that a village of people will die soon and the Dang clan will be blamed for poisoning the well. The Moyong clan are behind this. - FL and the Dang clan capture General Ran when she tries to poison the well. As FL interrogates Ran, FL forces her to swallow the experimental Baekryun flower drug that was developed by the Dang poison dept while they work on an antidote. - Ran confirms Seokgoon and the Moyong clan are allies with the Demon Sect. Seokgoon was given an Elder’s position in the Demon Sect in exchange for the Demon Sect to use the Moyong clan to move within Murim. - Ran says the cult leader continually moves around different vessels. He lost his body after trying to summon the Demon God. He is using the cores of mythical beasts to create a new body that can contain the Demon God’s power. - Chiyou the Heavenly Emperor - The Demon Sect are looking for Chiyou’s vessel - Cheon Goongmyeong, Demon Sect vice leader - plan to kidnap and corrupt Namgoong Jiha - Hyeshin from the Shaolin Temple. He’s a successor candidate and a fist arts expert. The Demon Sect have kidnapped him. - The Murim Alliance investigation team led by Namgoong Jiha is meeting in Henan province. The successors of the largest noble clans are invited to join the team to find Hyeshin. The team includes FL, Gunwoo, Moyong Hwi and Jaegal Ihwa. Jaegal Hee disguised herself as a servant and followed her brother. FL discovers Jaegal Hee but agrees to keep it a secret. - There are obvious tensions in the team from the start. - Namgoong Jiha refuses to believe FL has changed for the better. - The team travel to the Yongtao temple where Hyeshin’s bloody robes were discovered. There they find all of the Buddhist nuns were killed. They died recently as their bodies are still warm. - Namgoong Jiha makes rash decisions to follow a trail that seems to be leading the team into a trap. When FL and Gunwoo point this out, Jiha wants to exclude FL’s group from the investigation. - FL proves she has the right to be included by showing the jade plaque given to her by Sah Okcheon, the 12th Branch Manager of the Murim Alliance. - They agree to split the team. FL goes alone with Moyong Hwi. The rest follow Jiha. FL confronts Moyong Hwi on his agenda for taking part in the investigation. Jiha suddenly sends up a flare after spotting what looks like Hyeshin. - FL stops Moyong Hwi with poison darts when he acts suspiciously. She doesn’t kill him this time as payback for telling her about the plan to poison the well. - FL rejoins Jiha and the rest of the team. Jiha rushes ahead first to check and is bitten by someone disguised as Hyeshin. - FL saves Jiha before he collapses from being poisoned. - A group of archers on a cliff shoot arrows down on the team. FL encourages Jaegal Hee to have confidence. Jaegal Hee deals with the enemy attacking their team directly. FL uses her martial arts to kill the archers above. - FL obtained the antidote from Moyong Hwi earlier. She has to knock out Jiha who still doesn’t trust her in order to administer it. - Moyong Hwi also told FL where the real Hyeshin is being held.

They’re taken in by the Genis orphanage. - ML is guiding Ras Armetic (a Pyro paladin) around the Welton territory. Ras is searching for the Chimera Creator. - The Chimera Creator has sacrificed over 10 paladins to make special chimeras that can use holy power. - The Genis church is using the orphanage to select children for experiments to make chimeras. - ML (and later Ras) recognises Anna’s potential as a Saintess. Once she awakens her divine power, she’ll be able to see the flow of the entire world through her godly eyes. - After ML dropped hints, Ras suspects the Genis church of hiding the Chimera Creator. Argeno assigns 3 shadow knights to go with Ras to investigate. - That night Phillip and Jance who have been monitoring the Genis church are attacked by a chimera paladin. ML arrives and defeats the chimera body with his black magic but the main part escapes. Later ML examines the body and the core which is a bead imbued with divine power. - The 7 Knights are the 7 swords of the Genis church who protect the Archbishop. - The 7 Divine Executioners are paladins endowed with special holy powers from Pyro. Ras is one of them. - Ricky is the next child to be selected by Genis. He shares the news with ML and Ras. ML follows the black magic trace that he left in the main part of the escaped chimera. It leads to the Genis church. - ML goes to face Lincoln the Genis bishop while Ras and the 3 shadow knights follow Ricky’s carriage. - ML defeats then interrogates Lincoln with his black magic. Lincoln was ordered by an oracle from Genis to create a strong army. ML gets the mind controlled Lincoln to report to Argeno. - Ras and the shadow knights discover a hidden entrance to a basement laboratory. They defeat some chimeras and head down. They face 2 elite chimeras that they eventually defeat. - ML is already there in the lab disguised as Lincoln. The Chimera Creator quickly realises ML isn’t Lincoln and attacks. - ML teleports himself and the Chimera Creator to a nearby forest. It’s a close battle until 2 chimeras suddenly appear. - Ricky woke up and ran away from the lab. He sees ML and shields him from the chimera’s attack. ML is reminded of his past life when so many sacrificed their lives for him. - ML summons an undead army from the many people sacrificed by the Chimera Creator. The vengeful undead kill the Creator and the chimeras. A small orb falls out of the Creator’s mouth. - Bead of Life: an artifact that charges itself with life force. It helps with self recovery and physical growth. (ML later crushes it and absorbs it) - ML starts to revive Ricky as an undead but is interrupted by Pyro. - Pyro had chosen Ricky to be her apostle. There can only be one apostle. Ricky wakes up as half undead and half apostle. - Ricky heals ML’s injuries. ML leaves before Ras and the shadow knights see him. - Lincoln was killed by 1 of the 7 Knights before he could report to Argeno. The Genis church use Lincoln as a scapegoat for what happened with the Chimera Creator. Argeno is angry that they killed Lincoln without his permission. He cuts ties with the Genis church and tells them to leave his territory. - ML’s undead storage is a space created by his own power. Any undead inside absorb this power and are strengthened by it. - Sears, ML and Sarah travel to Aphton in the north to visit the Bell family. Ras joins them and also takes Anna and Ricky with him under the protection of the Pyro church. - Miatrey the blue dragon kidnaps ML along the way. - 700yrs ago Miatrey had a human lover called Kanon, a 9th class black mage. They searched for the truth of the world together. - Miatrey was banished by the dragon tribe for 1000yrs. After several years Kanon discovered the truth of the world and came to rescue her. They hid in the mountains and Kanon later died. - The other dragons erased all traces of Kanon. Miatrey is protecting the last place where Kanon’s existence remains. - Braham the dragon god and the other dragons must’ve done the same to ML as Diablo and erased him from the world. - Miatrey takes ML to Kanon’s grave. On the cross ML recognises an artifact called Absolute Immunity that he made as Diablo. - Kanon’s diary is sealed but ML manages to break the seal with his black magic. He had many comrades who either died or betrayed him. - Humanity was enslaved by the 12 gods after Diablo was gone. - Miatrey promises to help ML when the time comes. - Venna, an orphan and a dark student mage. - She’s the victim of constant bullying for the last 10yrs. - Garb, school dean and 6th class curse mage. - The students conduct human experiments using black magic. - Garb has been suppressing Venna’s true personality. The other students were brainwashed by Garb to bully Venna. The school was created by Garb with the sole purpose of containing Venna in an environment completely under his control. - Venna awakens as a Valkyrie, a high rank warrior angel. - Garb gets the students to attack but ML kills them. ML defeats Garb and enslaves his soul as a lich, renaming him “Nevro.” - ML gets Venna to transform into a squirrel so she can stay with him. Sarah loves her new “toy.” - Marquis Bell, Sears’ father and a 4th class mage - Sable, Marquis Bell’s aide (and secretly a traitor) - Bailey Onyx the Tempest Swordsman, 1 of the 5 swordmasters in the kingdom. - Sears and Bailey are childhood friends. - He became obsessed with revenge when his father killed himself after the family became bankrupt. Sears accused him of trying to control her by stepping in between her and any men she met. - Bailey became jealous when Sears met Argeno for the first time. Bailey challenged Argeno to a duel and lost. Soon after Bailey left Aphton. He later took revenge on those who ruined his family. - Pyro Archbishop Sephira. He’s known Sears all her life. - There are serial murders in Aphton and there are reports that demon king worshippers have reappeared. - Pyro’s message: Demonic energy is awakening. ML must go to the dark forest to stop it before it spreads. - A month ago, a demonic egg appeared in the dark forest. Hearts from the bodies of those murdered were offerings to the egg. - Late one night, ML enters the dark forest with Venna. - Teberon is a giant bear guardian of ancient ruins built 600yrs ago in the dark forest. The entire ruins is an artifact that can block black magic. ML convinces Teberon to stop blocking his black magic and to show him the location of the egg. - ML took from the ruins a ring artifact that is an ego weapon. It changes into a battle hammer called Phillion. He gives it to Venna. - The black magic protecting the demonic egg is from a spell created by ML as Diablo, called Leviathan. ML removes the spell while Venna and Nevro protect him from Kanna, a Genis knight? - Baron Reuetta is a demon noble who emerges from the egg. - The immense demonic energy from the dark forest stops Marquis Bell and his knights from entering. - Bailey kills Kanna while on his way to ML. He arrives just in time to save ML from Reuetta who is defeated. The demonic energy disappears. - Back at the ruins, Armeon appears to ML. Armeon is a genius artifact creator and 9th class mage who created the ancient ruins. After confirming ML is Diablo’s successor, Armeon transfers all the authority and power of Gremia over to ML. - Gremia is an artifact that can take different forms. It has unlimited possibilities depending on the user’s will. - The Gram, the Lightning Dragon sword left by Isis at the ruins is given to Bailey. - Isis, the Frontier leader - Frontier is an association that seeks the truth / secrets of the world. - Sable is the 1st Knight of Genis and a swordmaster. - He intends to kill Ricky and Anna. He reaches the church and kills the Pyro Archbishop, then pursues the siblings. - Demons disguised as civilians and soldiers start to terrorise the people. The Bell knights suppress the demons. - ML senses Ricky is in danger. Bailey takes ML to Ricky. - Ras is fighting Sable. Ricky helps by aiming his divine power at Sable. ML arrives to lend further support. Bailey saves ML from Sable’s attack. After both losing an arm, Bailey and Sable engage in a swordfight. - After further injuring Bailey, Sable tries to stab through ML’s body. A pendant artifact given to ML generates a shield to protect him. Tina, Sears’ late mother could see the future and made that pendant for ML before he was born. Her spirit pushes Sable away. - Sable (Krion) is flung far away to a desert in the south. - Blazer, high priest and knight captain for the Sun God Ra. - Battlefield’s Helix: a divine object that can deduce the results of a war by running simulations. - According to the Helix, the Genis church need Krion to win any future wars. Finding Krion is their top priority. - The funeral for the Pyro Archbishop is held in the Aphton church. After the service, Ricky takes ML to an inner sanctuary and Pyro appears. She tells him about the split between the 12 gods. - The 12 gods are currently split into factions. - Genis, Lily and Braham - Drian and Khulun - Tantiras and Arbelado - Jillian and Oblivion - Ra, Flame Emperor and Pyro are on their own. - Genis thinks he was abandoned by Ra and blames Pyro for it. Genis wants to steal Pyro’s power and fight Ra. - ML asks Pyro about the history that was erased. - She says there is a keyword embedded in that history that will alert all of the 12 gods. ML isn’t ready to face the gods just yet. - Unlike other black magic, Pyro distinguishes ML’s black magic as primordial and pure. As a sign of their alliance, ML’s left palm is marked with a tattoo, Pyro’s token of promise. ML is now treated as a Saint / bishop by the Pyro church for being chosen by Pyro. - Besides Absolute Immunity, ML as Diablo made 2 more artifacts: God Killer and All Might. ML intends to find them. - Venna has to complete a mission? - The remaining Valkyries secretly live in the deepest part of the Great Forest (with the elves?) - Bailey’s arm is reattached and he eventually makes a full recovery. - Ricky and Anna leave for the Great Temple of Pyros. Ras goes with them. - Arlock Tedrey, Pyro holy enforcer? goes with the Weltons when they return home. - ML is already a 6th class mage. - ML asks Argeno to teach him swordsmanship. - Hamilton Leonardo, vice captain of the Fear Knight Order. - ML shows tremendous stamina and mental fortitude thanks to the Bead of Life. ML learns to entrust his body to the natural mana flow of the footwork. When ML combines it with magic, the destructive power increases considerably. - Dimension Splitting sword technique is a family secret. Argeno teaches the basics to ML who masters it in an unprecedented 4mths. - At a banquet for the eastern nobles hosted by the Weltons, Argeno warns of an upcoming war against the Genis church that will engulf the entire continent. Richter has agreed to help Argeno fight the Genis church. All of the eastern nobles must prepare for war. - Ziegfried of Dimensions 30yo, 7th Elder of the magic world. - He’s a former slave who was adopted by a mage and quickly became the youngest Elder. - He invites ML to visit the magic world. - The magic world consists of 3 factions: - Marquis Linmel, 2nd Elder leads the nobles. - Oppen Ginger, 1st Elder. He’s the King’s teacher and leads the imperialists. - Luke Pretzel, 5th Elder. He’s a commoner who leads the equality faction. - Despite the risks, ML wants to go to the magic world. - Scud, a magic sword given to ML by Argeno. - Omniscity Crown: a key artifact of the magic world. It encompasses all knowledge that the wearer of the crown can absorb. ML hopes to get the opportunity to wear the crown and find out about the history that was erased. - On the way, ML and Ziegfried are attacked by bandits. - ML uses his magic swordsmanship to kill the bandits. - St Dermane, the city of mana stones. It has the largest mana stone mine in the Seldam kingdom. - Kiriel the great alchemist and an 8th class mage. - Her son Finn died and she wants to resurrect him (?) - She wants to obtain a shadow sheep’s heart (a rare item for alchemy) at a secret auction. It’s a material needed to open the door to the shadow world. - The shadow world is ruled by Venuthro the spirit king of darkness. Only those invited by Venuthro may enter. - ML makes a spirit contract with Kiriel. Earlier he detected strong mana from a delivery made to the secret auction. He needs to borrow money from her to buy this item at the secret auction. In exchange he will help her to enter the shadow world. - At the auction, Ziegfried buys the heart and ML buys All Might. - A group steals all of the items from the auction. - Ziegfried and ML stop the group to retrieve their items. - Hans the group leader says they’re from Frontier, a rebel force that wants to take over the Harmonia kingdom in the west. - Frontier wanted the key to release Vehimos the monster sealed below the Kelton volcano long ago. - Diablo created 3 monsters to help fight against the 12 gods. Vehimos was one of them. - Darius the Unseen Iron Fist and Cherbil’s friend. - All Might reduces all physical damage to 0, the ultimate defence. - Cherbil became a grand master with Creation, the ultimate technique. He told Darius to teach Creation to ML. - ML helps Venna and Frontier free the elf slaves sold at the auction. Venna is a Princess (?)
