Ch 40 as of 02/08/22 - Chris Clark - Max Mojave, a member of the Barbiene family (mafia). He’s a successor candidate for the Barbiene boss. - Other Barbiene members: Max’ father, Mr M, Alex, James - 13yo Chris saw Max kill a man by shooting him. The news article with the official police report was different to his eyewitness account. For the next 5yrs, Chris becomes obsessed with following up on unsolved crimes reported in the media. He’s a loner considered to be a weirdo for his obsession. - 18yo Chris and Max start attending the same college. They’re both studying criminology. They end up being room mates. - Chris wants to be a lawyer. Max was sent to college to become a detective after infiltrating the police. - Max killed a journalist at an abandoned orphanage for his last job. Chris followed up on the official report in the news by visiting the crime scene and found inconsistencies. Chris sees Max mimic how he imagined the journalist was shot. Chris asks Max if he’d heard about the San Antonio orphanage, but Max brushes him off. - Chris uses the orphanage case for his criminal psychology presentation. Max approaches Chris to get closer to him. - Max talks about the orphanage case with Chris. It’s the first time anyone has shown the same interest and curiosity as Chris. - Max doesn’t deem Chris to be a threat. They talk about other unsolved cases and agree to investigate them together. - In town, 2 members of the Colletti family recognise Max and follow him with Chris. They threaten Max and Chris at a cafe. - Max feigns ignorance and treats it like a mugging by giving his money to them. Chris is shaken up from seeing a gun inside the jacket of one of the men. He developed a phobia about guns ever since he saw Max shoot a man 5yrs ago. Max hugs Chris to comfort him and calm him down. Chris explains what happened 5yrs ago and Max remembers Chris from that time. - With no money, Max and Chris try to hitchhike as they walk back to the college. Max call James from a payphone to pick them up. Max’ father and Mr M come instead. After Max mentions getting mugged, Chris talks about the Barbiene and Colletti families. - Max’ father privately tells Max to take care of Chris. The next day a gun is left in Max’ locker at the college. - That night Max is dreaming of shooting Chris and starts to cry. Chris checks on Max and puts his hand on Max’ forehead. Max thinks he’s still dreaming and takes Chris’ hand to kiss it. - Max wakes up when Chris jerks his hand away. Max finds Chris in a lounge room with a hard-on. Max masturbates Chris. Before Max can take it further, they’re found by the dorm supervisor. - The next day Chris keeps avoiding Max. There’s a fraternity party that night and Max tells Chris to find him there if he wants to talk. Chris goes there later and Max takes Chris to an empty room. - Chris wanted to just stay friends with Max but they both know they want more. They have sex. It’s Chris’ first time. (Ch 19) - Some students enter the room from the balcony and the room’s owner throws out Chris and Max. - Chris and Max fall asleep on the college lawn after agreeing to date each other and always be at each other’s side. - Chris wakes up in his bed and sees that all of Max’ things are gone. James is bringing Max to see the Barbiene boss at his mansion. Max tells the boss that Chris is his boyfriend and he’ll do anything to protect him. Max is told to kill Tony Colletti who they captured just before he went to college. - Mr M and Alex go with Max and James to a construction site. Max gets Tony out from the trunk of the car. - Mr M secretly loosened the ropes on Tony to mess with Max. Tony knocks the gun from Max’ hands and runs away. He makes it to a local petrol station to ask for help. Max cuts Tony’s throat with a dagger. When Max hesitates to kill the couple that own the petrol station, Mr M kills them instead. - This was a test set up by the boss that Max failed. - Max takes his luggage and drives back to college himself. The boss had told Max that he wasn’t going back to college. The only way to leave the Barbiene family is to die. - Rumours about Max and Chris from the party have spread throughout the college campus. Chris is targeted by bullies who throw soda at him. Max arrives to see Chris covered in soda and he clears out the men’s showers for Chris to clean himself up. - That night they have sex in their dorm room. (Ch 26) - Max and Chris move into an apartment near the college. They have sex on their first night there. (Ch 28) - Mr M took photos of Max and Chris in town and sent them with the location of Tony’s body to the Colletti family. - 4 Colletti men are sent to kill Max and Chris. They’re attacked while in town at a cafe. Chris cowers in fear while Max kills all 4 of them with his gun. James arrives with a car to help Max escape before the police arrive. - Lt Nathan Ravensburg, gang crimes division of the police. - Chris is questioned by the police for his witness testimony. - Chris says Max was trying to protect him because he’s Max’ lover. - The police follow Chris in case Max turns up or the Colletti men target him again. After over a week, Chris returns to college. Max has been expelled. Meanwhile Max keeps trying to escape from the Barbiene family but he is always recaptured. - Dr Harry Ravensburg, Nathan’s father (?) and a top priority client of the Barbiene family. - Edward Ravensburg, Harry’s brother and a movie producer - Chris searches for clues about Max’ whereabouts by looking around the Barbiene territory. He sees Mr M and recognises him from the car that picked them up when they were hitchhiking. - Chris tries to follow Mr M but is caught by him in an alley. Mr M pulls out his gun and Chris faints when the gun is pressed against his face. The police find Chris alone in the alley. - Using Edward’s connections, the DA drops all charges against Max. The police will stop following Chris. Nathan talks to Chris about the report he presented on the San Antonio orphanage. - Nathan leaves an unloaded pistol with Chris to help him with his phobia. Nathan wants Chris to join the police.

Ch 37.5 as of 03/06/22 - Matthew Raynor 24yo, an orphan and a college student majoring in sculpture. He attends a very prestigious art school on a scholarship. He has trouble expressing himself and being around people. He’s worked odd jobs to support himself and make ends meet since he was 17yo, (ie cafe, restaurant, bar, construction). - Jin Cheungwoo 34yo, director at Shinhai Construction (mafia). - He’s a successor candidate to inherit the company. - He has a large Shinhai scar down his back as a pledge to the depth of his loyalty. Jin has a mysterious medical condition (after being a drug addict for 10yrs?). He gets terrible migraines and needs drugs / sex to get over them. - Matthew and Jin met at the orphanage over 10-15yrs ago (tbc). - Jin made a random comment to Matthew that if he wants something, he can do everything in his power to get it. Matthew could earn or create the things he wanted. That’s when Matthew started sculpting a rabbit to have as his own. - Matthew came from a wealthy family. His parents committed suicide. He eventually received a large inheritance but he refuses to spend it as he feels he didn’t earn it. - Jin corrects Matthew by saying he should do everything to get what he wants, no matter what it takes. - Matthew recognised Jin when they met again as adults. His father is the head of police who arrested Jin in the past. - Cheon Jahwa, Shinhai Chairwoman and Jin’s boss. - Joo Sungchi, Jin’s underling #1 - Joo Yoonbal, Jin’s underling #2 - Brandon Lee, CEO of BeomYeong Construction. He betrayed Shinhai and framed Jin for it. Jin went to jail for 5yrs. - Dennis Cooper, VP of BeomYeong Construction - Jin started under Brandon Lee 10yrs ago in Shinhai as his loyal subordinate. It was Brandon who got Jin addicted to drugs. - At a construction site managed by Shinhai, a large stash of drugs in crates is discovered underground. Jin gets his men remove the drugs and take them to the port. - Brandon gave the ok to Dennis to target Matthew as Jin’s weakness. Dennis sent some men to use Matthew as a hostage. - Matthew was working at the construction site but left after the drugs were discovered. Jin saw Matthew’s employment sheet and realises they both came from the same orphanage. - At the port, Jin and his men fight thugs sent by Dennis. After all of the thugs are killed / defeated, Jin rushes to where Matthew is. Jin smashes the face of the thug who was about to kill Matthew. - Jin realises Matthew is the child he knew from the orphanage. - The priest at the orphanage often physically abused Jin in the chapel. Jin saved Matthew from the priest. Matthew had just told the priest that it was a teacher who killed a pet rabbit. - The priest didn’t believe Matthew and was about to hit him. Jin and the priest fought, with Jin killing the priest. The priest is the one who gave Jin the scar on his forehead. Jin made it look like the priest had hung himself, then Jin ran away from the orphanage.

His older brother Yeo Eui Hyeon is in a vegetative state in hospital. - Bum Geon Woo (GW) 37yo, a handsome and intimidating gangster. He works for the CIK Group. - GW was paying off his father’s debt while working part-time for Chairman Cha il-Kwon of the CIK Group. When he tried to leave the company, the Chairman had GW severely beaten and forced him to stay. GW was made to do the dirty work to help expand the company. GW has been pretending to be obedient to the Chairman while planning his revenge secretly. - Everything in GW’s life was decided by the Chairman. - EJ was the first thing GW had decided for himself in a long time. - 1st kiss: ch 8 - 1st fuck: ch 9-11 - 1st car sex: ch 20-24 - Seme confessed: ch 25, 26 - Uke confessed: ch 51 - College friends: - Kim Tae Young (TY) - Joo Yeon (JY), going out with TY and EJ’s childhood friend. - Cha Chae Hyun (CH) 32yo, director of the CIK Group. - When they first meet, GW says EJ is handsome. - EJ fantasises about GW after he buys a pack of XL condoms. - GW became interested in EJ and found excuses to go to the store every day. EJ finally confessed his feelings after hearing HW could be bisexual. - EJ has dinner with HW and finds out HW already has a lover. - HW takes a drunk EJ home and tries to kiss him. They’re interrupted by GW who recently moved in next door to EJ. HW leaves after EJ tells him to go. - Over more drinks, EJ tells GW all about HW. - At college HW says he likes both EJ and his lover. - After his shift, EJ sees GW and starts to cry. GW gets EJ to tell him what’s wrong. At the end EJ says he needs to get over HW by finding an even better guy. GW kisses EJ and suggests to try being with him. They have lots of sex at EJ’s place. - EJ sleeps in and just makes it to the last class for the day. - It’s awkward for EJ when he sees GW during his shift. - GW helps get money from thugs who left without paying. - GW takes EJ to an expensive restaurant - GW was with a woman (a colleague?) who tried to seduce him but he was thinking of EJ and turned her down. - At the store, EJ tells GW that he had a lipstick stain on his face. - HW says he broke up with his girlfriend for EJ. He claims he wasn’t serious about her anyway. EJ turns him down. - GW calls EJ and can tell EJ is upset. GW comes to see EJ who says let’s have sex for the last time. They have hot car sex. - While EJ sleeps, GW confesses his feelings for EJ. - As GW takes EJ home, he tries to explain the lipstick stain. EJ says it’s fine since they’re not in a relationship anyway. EJ still wants to remain on good terms with GW. - GW says he likes EJ. Until EJ decides to throw GW away, he’ll keep pursuing EJ. Feeling conflicted, EJ isn’t sure about his own feelings and doesn’t want to just use GW for sex. - GW brings lunch for EJ who invites him in to share with him. They watch a romantic movie and it reminds EJ of HW. He feels empty after nothing came from his 3yr crush and doesn’t feel like dating anyone right now. GW says EJ doesn’t have to feel pressured just because GW likes him. He kisses EJ and they have sex. - EJ asks GW out on a date. They arrange to meet at a cafe. - A tattooed man (CH) with 2 thugs come to hassle EJ who arrived at the cafe early. The man asks about GW. When GW arrives later, he asks about the injury to EJ’s forehead but EJ lies about it. - Eventually GW makes EJ reveal what really happened. - TY and JY happen to see EJ and GW. They go to a karaoke bar together. EJ is a terrible singer. While having a smoke outside with GW, JY says EJ really likes kind people who take care of those around them. GW admits he doesn’t know why but it seems he was meant to fall in love with EJ. - After the date, GW goes to meet the tattooed man (CH) and punches the thug that hurt EJ. They all belong to a criminal organisation that has a legitimate business front, the CIK Group. There’s currently a leadership struggle in the company with the Chairman (CH’s father) unconscious in hospital. - GW returns home and wants to share the same bed with EJ. They go to GW’s place. EJ says he won’t date someone he knows nothing about. GW promises to tell EJ everything when the time is right. They kiss and have sex. - GW gives some flowers to EJ. He also drives EJ to the library and picks him up later. GW offers to make something for dinner. - They arrive home to find CH waiting for GW. When he sees EJ, CH apologises to EJ for what happened before and offers to take them all out for dinner. EJ hopes to find out more about GW. - GW has to go to work after dinner. EJ stays with CH and they go to a cafe. CH tells EJ how he’s worked with GW for the last 5yrs. His own father obviously favours GW over CH, his gay son. CH still tries in everything he does to get his father’s approval. - Now that his father is in a coma, GW has the most influence and power in the CIK Group. CH thinks of GW like a brother. - EJ admits to CH that he likes GW. - Meanwhile GW meets with Director Kim who seems to want to take over the CIK Group. After the meeting, GW is stabbed by the thug that hurt EJ before. GW goes to hospital for surgery. EJ hasn’t heard from GW in 3 days and is worried. He contacts CH who visits EJ at the store and says GW is just busy to reassure EJ. - EJ is called to the hospital as his brother had a seizure. - CH drove EJ there. His father is at the same hospital. - GW calls EJ and will meet him at the hospital. - CH admits to EJ that part of him thinks it would be better for his father to pass away, but deep down he doesn’t want him to die. EJ hopes his father recovers soon and that CH can be happy. - CH asks EJ to close his eyes and when he opens them, CH is kissing him. GW saw them. EJ says he still likes GW and CH apologises. He was just thankful for being understood. EJ says CH can contact him again if needed as friends. - GW finds EJ at the hospital and takes him home. - GW says if EJ likes CH more, he’s willing to wait for EJ. - EJ finally confesses his feelings to GW. - After they have a night of intense sex, EJ finds out about GW’s injury. GW promises he won’t let anything like this happen again. - GW says he’ll be away for work, finalising his business. - EJ is contacted by CH who’s bored. While on the phone, CH answers his door and is knocked out by GW. His men confirm that the thug who stabbed GW was found and GW lets them deal with him. GW sees CH’s mobile has EJ still on call and realises EJ overheard everything. - GW arrives at EJ’s place. EJ is scared when he sees the blood on GW’s shirt. GW forcefully kisses EJ who struggles to break free. - A vase breaks and EJ’s hand is cut by a broken piece. GW stops when he sees that and leaves. - EJ doesn’t hear from GW again. GW has moved out from next door and his phone is out of service. - GW wants EJ to live a normal life. He doesn’t think this is possible if he stays by EJ’s side, yet he still yearns to be with EJ. - EJ graduates from college and is actively job hunting. - One day his brother wakes up. EJ continues to work part-time to pay for his brother’s rehabilitation expenses. His brother decides to return to their hometown when he’s fully recovered. - To forget about GW, EJ agreed to go out with a new person who confessed to him. It became obvious his boyfriend quickly lost interest and EJ found out he was cheating on him. EJ accepts it all with a smile and he still hasn’t broken up with the bastard yet. - 28yo EJ gets a job in the sales dept. of a small company. - As the newest employee, the manager often gets EJ to run errands to the nearest convenience store. EJ is uncomfortable with this as the store is directly opposite an office building for the CIK Group. - The Chairman died and CH was appointed as the new Chairman. An extensive restructure occurred within the company and was completed after 3yrs. - CH contacts EJ for the first time in 3yrs. They meet for dinner. - CH gives GW’s business card to EJ who later throws it away. - EJ sends texts to his boyfriend to arrange to meet up. He wants to break up with him face to face. The texts remain unread. - One night EJ stays late at work to finish off a presentation and he goes to the convenience store to buy cigarettes. This time GW happens to be there as well. - GW gets EJ to meet him for dinner on Friday night. - At the dinner, EJ gets drunk while waiting for GW who keeps getting calls. GW takes EJ home. In the morning GW gets EJ to agree to cook lunch for him. EJ cuts his hand while cooking. GW puts a bandaid on it and says he’s relieved to see there’s no scar from the cut 3yrs ago. (Ch 66) - GW kisses EJ and they have sex until EJ passes out. While EJ sleeps, GW says he missed EJ. The next morning, EJ wakes up to see GW has cooked breakfast. EJ sits down to eat but stops and asks GW to explain why he didn’t contact EJ all this time. ( TBC ) - Initially GW supported Director Kim in the leadership struggle for the CIK Group. So GW was going to get rid of CH for Director Kim. GW killed the Chairman (CH’s father). GW changed his mind when he decided he wanted to be with EJ in the future. He saved CH and betrayed Director Kim. ( TBC ) - GW and CH spent the last 3yrs getting rid of the corruption in the company and the threats to them and the company. Once everything with the company was settled, GW planned to find EJ. He couldn’t tell EJ what he was doing because it was dangerous and GW could die or EJ could get hurt. - GW wants to always be upfront and transparent with EJ from now on. He never forgot about EJ and wanted to be with EJ again when it was safe. He can’t bring himself to ask EJ for forgiveness. - EJ says it’s better if they don’t see each other again. - He sends a break up msg to his (asshole) boyfriend. - GW visits EJ at his office when he’s working overtime. - In the office, GW kisses EJ and they have sex (Ch 73). - The asshole boyfriend calls and GW gets EJ to take the call while they’re having sex. EJ gets mad at GW and pushes him away. - EJ finds his asshole boyfriend (who was cheating again) and says they should break up since they were both cheating (WTF?!) - EJ goes to GW’s office building and finds GW outside of the convenience store. GW claims he was waiting for EJ. - They confess their feelings for each other and agree to date. - They go to EJ’s place and have sex. (Ch 78-81) - EJ gets busy with work and can’t see much of GW for 2wks. - EJ goes to GW’s new place for the first time. GW says he wants to live together with EJ who agrees right away. - GW wants EJ to work at CIK. EJ prefers to do his best at his current job then apply for CIK when he’s ready. A year later, EJ is working at CIK. - TY and JY are finally getting married. - EJ’s colleagues think he’s single when he said he doesn’t have a girlfriend. They try to set him up on blind dates. - EJ and GW have office sex (Ch 86). - EJ and GW have drinks at home with EJ’s brother and CH. - Later EJ says I love you and GW proposes.
