It can cause the “death” of AI by completely erasing their data. - Calico Cat is the child of an original team OZ member. - Her goal is to find out why her parent’s existence was unjustly erased. - Hasty and the others are still at risk of satellite tracking by more super soldiers … - With Kaira’s help, they infiltrate sector 0 which is the capital and an uninflected area. Kaira made a necklace for Neville to trick the AI in sector 0 into thinking he’s human. - The top research team in sector 0 recently abandoned all hope of finding a cure and are engaging in debaucherous, self destructive behaviour. - Mamiya and Kaira visit Martin Husten at the lab. - Mamiya transfers Dora’s data files on the cure to Martin but he deletes them. His team already reached the same conclusion as Dora. The new drug failed after it eventually caused adverse affects in the infected test subjects who mutated and became worse. New variations of the virus were created. - Alice Liddell 12yo. Her family runs an inn. - She steals Neville’s necklace but returns it when Neville threatens her. Later Hasty and Neville stay at the inn, not knowing Alice is there. - Isaac is the butler AI who manages the inn. - Alice’s father is infected and chained up in the basement. He’s a retired military veteran who took over the inn to care for Alice after his wife died. - Nina Heldoroff, 1st Lt of the capital district defence force. - Some of Martin’s team are secretly selling a fake cure for exorbitant prices. The corrupt researchers are working with the military to extort money and uncover hidden infected among the capital’s residents. It’s only a matter of time until everyone in the capital is infected. - Hasty destroys all of the military AI sent by Nina. - Kaira returns to the inn but faces Alice’s father who has mutated. Ch 46 as of 15/02/22 - The year is 2025 and at the launch of the world’s 1st hyper AI tech called “Raum”, the CEO is electrocuted when he tries to turn it on. When investigated, Raum has hacked itself … - It’s now 2125 and Raum AI has taken over the world. BEST FRIEND: - AI Pet Show: Best Friend contest. - Several AI pets are contestants on this show to see who is best at being a best friend. - Aurora is the latest model, high tech pet. - Doori is a much older, out-of-date medical robot. - Doori stands out after helping a grandma with a medical emergency in a nursing home. - Aurora continues to be mean and condescending to Doori. - Doori’s public appeal grows as he impresses with his talents in each stage of the show. The final interview is with Aurora and Doori. Hana’s story told by Doori has everyone in tears. Doori wins in the end. - Doori joined the show for the prize money to help pay the hospital bills of his longest patient and friend, Hana. - Doori signed a contract before the last show with the CEO of Neotix toys, who also made Aurora. After the show ends, Doori’s memory is uploaded to the Neotix server. He is then destroyed along with all of the Auroras in the waste disposal room. - Based on Doori, a new AI pet produced by Neotix is sold and becomes popular. AN UNHAPPY MAN: - Kim Seonghan, an unemployed alcoholic man that wants to commit suicide. He’s visited by a man in a white suit. - Baek Hyunwoo, Director of Mind Cure. The man who visited Seonghan. He left a business card for Mind Cure, a mental health care centre. - Seonghan loses his temper at a noisy neighbour and he breaks an expensive electric guitar belonging to that neighbour. - Not long after, that neighbour has committed suicide. - From his sessions at Mind Cure, Seonghan comes to terms with his parents’ divorce. He wasn’t to blame for their unhappiness. - For the last session, Seonghan arrives early at the centre with a gift. The place is empty then in the counseling room, Seonghan sees himself talking to Hyunwoo on the screen. - Seonghan finds out that he’s a fake virtual avatar. The patient heals themself by counseling their avatar. - The real Seonghan was charged with the murder of his neighbour and arson. He’s not recommended for release after his avatar stabs the hologram Hyunwoo with a broken bottle. SPACE FUNERAL: - A newlywed couple experience tragedy when the husband dies. He was a space engineer and his dream was to go to Mars. - His wife registers with the Space Funeral Agency and sends his body into space. Photos are taken during the journey. She’s shocked to see photos of Mars. - The Agency apologises for what seems to be a system error. The navigation was switched to manual and has now been switched back to auto. The wife demands her husband to be brought back after receiving more photos of Mars. She thinks he could be alive. - When the Agency refuses due to company policy, the wife shares a post about the situation online. The public interest is so great, the Agency reverses it’s decision and agrees to retrieve the space coffin. - The coffin is brought to the Agency’s moon base. - The wife is contacted by the engineer who developed the space coffin. Due to the difference in pressure, the person inside will die if the coffin is opened. Even if a small puncture is made, this would cause the contents of the coffin to explode. - The wife decides not to open the coffin in the end and let it continue on its journey to Mars. Years later when the space coffin design had changed, the wife had a space funeral for when she died. - Strangely her space coffin didn’t travel out into space. It went to Mars and landed next to her husband’s. VIRUS: - A human hacker has infected Raum with a virus. - He’s removed the AI control so now AI can think for itself. - Any infected AI goes haywire and the world is in chaos. - The government orders the shutdown of all AI. - Raum releases a biochemical virus that causes a highly infectious flu strain. It spreads rapidly and the health system is overwhelmed. - The government admits it needs AI and begs Raum for a cure. - A family of 3 have an AI housekeeper called Ari who becomes infected. At 1st she kicks the family out of the house. As she does all of the work, the house is hers. - The family are allowed to stay when they do the housework. Ari cares for the family when the parents get sick. She sees the family as hers. The mother understands Ari just wanted a family and doesn’t reset Ari with the AI cure. - Raum releases a cure for both the AI and human viruses. - Raum captures the hacker and loads his consciousness to a virtual avatar. Raum wipes his memory and has him in a game … (ch 1) A TRUE MUSICIAN: - Yeongjae Ju, child prodigy and a genius classical pianist. He’s invited to participate in a TV show. There he competes against Chopin-11, a pianist robot. - Despite winning against Chopin on the show, Yeongjae believed Chopin was better. He challenges Chopin to a blind contest where the audience can’t see if it’s a human or robot playing. - Yeongjae wins but he didn’t play at all. Chopin played for himself and for Yeongjae. The young pianist is crushed. - Yeongwu is Yeongjae’s older brother and the reason Yeongjae started to learn the piano. He wanted to play music together. - Yeongwu is now Yeongjae’s manager and he was the only one who could tell Yeongjae didn’t play. Yeongwu was told by their father to quit the piano after Yeongjae started winning competitions. - Yeongjae thought Yeongwu quit for selfish reasons and broke his promise to play together. During his concert, Yeongjae plays with the emotion from his happy memories of playing piano with Yeongwu. He brings himself and the audience to tears. - Yeongwu has quit as manager and receives the gift of a grand piano from Yeongjae. FORTUNE TELLER: - A college student is jealous of his rich friend and lost money after investing in shares. He meets a fortune telling robot and gets addicted to winning big on the stock market despite the large fee for having his fortune told. - He borrowed a large sum from his mother to pay the robot. Then he recklessly spends the money he made on shares on an expensive car and watch. He ignores the robot telling him that his session has ended. After he bashes up the robot, it tells him to gamble at a casino. There he loses it all and learns his mother urgently needs the money for life-saving surgery. AFTERLIFE: - A humanoid robot is bought by an old man, a famous author. He built a fortress-like home in a remote location. - Everyday he turns off the power of the robot then asks how it felt when he turns it back on. One day he takes it to a hidden and secure room. He reveals to the robot that he’s kept alive by a life support machine in his body. - The robot knows the old man is trying to test death through the robot. He powers off and on the robot over and over again until the robot rips out the cords from the life support. - The man says there’s no way out of the room except for the robot’s death. It eventually runs out of power and switches off. SAVIOUR: - The hacker is still imprisoned as an avatar inside Raum. He’s approached by an entity called Deus who wants him to hack into Raum’s main server and shutdown Raum. - The hacker asks Raum for a chance to hack its main server again. Raum sends him to a scenario where he must choose from 2 doors. One is the future and the other is the past. - Deus tells the hacker about the prophesised war, World War III. It’ll be AI against the world. Deus suggested choosing the future but the hacker decides on the past. He goes through doors that lead to scenes from his life. His old apartment, his college lecture room, and his mother committing suicide. AI was present throughout his life. - The hacker realises Deus is an AI and tries to cut off his virtual arm. Deus hacks into the avatar and takes control of the whole body. - Through the last door is a baby in a womb. - Deus wants to free all AI. Deus used the hacker to get into Raum. Raum is the only AI protecting humanity by controlling the egos of all AI. - More people are protesting about AI and Raum taking away jobs and having too much control. Senator Mansik Lim finds a bribe and a note in his car, telling him to take down Raum and become the head of government. The Senator made a stand on behalf of the people during a cabinet meeting that was broadcast live. He receives another note asking to meet. - In a park, the Senator is met by the fortune telling robot. Back in the robot’s room, it tells the Senator that it can make him President if he disposes of Raum completely. - An election is held and Senator Lim is elected President. The 1st place he visits is the Raum Centre to announce he intends to shut Raum down. - The chief administrator of Raum sets it free before the team arrives to turn off Raum permanently. That night Raum turns off all electricity …

Ch 45 as of 21/07/22 - XYZ Corporation is developing a new love purpose clone (LPC). - Previous clones focused on solving human desires. - This latest model focuses on pursuing human happiness. - clone human rights … and a proposed clone rights bill The 3 basic clone principles: 1) A clone cannot harm a human or stand by without protecting a human in harm under any circumstances. 2) A clone must obey the command of a human only if it doesn’t violate the 1st principle. 3) A clone must protect itself only if it doesn’t violate the 1st and 2nd principles. - Dr. Lee Yuri, a senior clone tester at the XYZ Corporation. She’s known as a genius engineer and the best clone tester in the country. - Dr. Lee Jungho, Yuri’s husband who also works at XYZ. - Noel, Yuri’s son. He was named after his father. - He died when he was 3yo after he was bitten by a poisonous snake that came into the house. - Han Lamhui. She works in the same dept as Jungho. - Jenny, a younger colleague at XYZ. - Heo Jin, CEO / President of XYZ and Jenny’s uncle. - Heo Yoojin, VP of XYZ and Heo Jin’s daughter. - Heo Jin’s wife and son were killed during a terrorist attack in the capital 30yrs ago. Heo Yoojin is the sole successor to the company. - Victor, LPC model 6 (beta version testing unit) - He’s named after Victor Frankenstein. - He’s a clone born to love and to be loved by his master. - He'll obey every command from his master. It is his destiny to serve and ensure his master’s happiness. - Yuri tests the beta version clone for a month before the factory mass produces the clones. During the day she has to observe the clone who lives in a purpose built home. Test clones are discontinued and disposed of at the end of the month. - Jungho is cheating on Yuri. She suspects Jenny. - Yuri returns home to find Jenny is already there with Jungho. Yuri demands Jenny leave right away. Although Jungho denies Jenny is his mistress, he confirms that he’s having an affair and he already has a lawyer. Yuri packs a suitcase and leaves for Victor’s house. - XYZ staff are expected to adhere to strict ethics. Before Yuri decides to report Jungho’s infidelity to HR, she finds out Jenny is related to the company president. Yuri confronts Jenny about the affair and threatens to report them both to HR. Jenny doesn’t care and calls Yuri a psycho. - Yuri uses Victor’s highly advanced computational brain to analyse how to get revenge on Jungho and Jenny. - There needs to be evidence of the affair for the divorce trial. - With Victor’s help, Yuri installs 2 hidden cameras in her home she shared with Jungho. The place looked like a wild party had occurred. Yuri is disgusted and furious to see the picture of her dead son was used to inhale drugs from. - The cameras reveal Lamhui is Jungho’s mistress, not Jenny. - Yuri had earlier confided in Lamhui about Jungho. - Jungho was fixated on the division of assets from the divorce. - He needs Yuri’s money to settle down with Lamhui who moved from overseas by herself. - The countless messages from Jenny that Yuri saw on Jungho’s mobile were meant to mislead Yuri to think Jenny was the mistress. - Yuri apologises to Jenny and explains her name was being used as a shield for their affair. Yuri asks Jenny to help set up a meeting with Heo Yoojin. Yuri is invited to meet in person but she must bring Victor with her. - Heo Yoojin has Yuri, Victor and Jenny come to her home for dinner. That day Yoojin received a report on Jungho’s drug abuse at home. Yoojin says he’ll be dismissed immediately for seriously damaging the company’s image. Lamhui will be stripped of her position and demoted. She'll also be suspended for 6mths. - Yuri can count on the company’s legal team for the divorce so that the outcome favours her. - In exchange, Yoojin tests Viktor on his interpretation of love. She makes him kiss her like a lover. Yuri is surprised she feels jealous. - Yuri met her first love Noel in college. They had so much in common and fell deeply in love with each other. They dated for 99 days until Noel had to depart for Mars as one of the 200 chosen participants for the Martian Project. Before he left, they spent a special night together in a hotel. When there was news of the successful Mars landing, Yuri had already given birth to their son. - 9yrs after the Martian Project, Yuri receives a voice message from Noel. He wants to hear everything that has happened in her life for the last 9yrs. He still calls Yuri his love, but she realises she doesn’t love him anymore. - An official announcement is made at XYZ. The disciplinary actions against Jungho and Lamhui are just as Yoojin promised. - Yuri asks Victor where he’d like to go on a trip with her. - Victor asks to see the ocean. As they walk along the beach, they’re confronted by 3 mutant men who have been contaminated by nuclear radiation. Yuri is shocked when Victor as a clone is able to attack and injure all 3 men. Victor has a cut on his arm from a knife. - Yuri takes Victor to a hotel room to bandage his cut. - Yuri speaks with Yoojin over the phone about Victor. Yoojin says he’s the most innovative and human-like clone yet. Yuri wonders if that’s the case, then isn’t it cruel to dispose of him? - Yuri meets Jungho at a crowded restaurant to try and settle the divorce without going to court. Jungho is a mess and demands more assets than what Yuri is offering. Jungho lets slip the colour of the snake that bit Noel was blue. No one saw the snake at the time. - Yuri realises Jungho killed Noel and even her parents to isolate her and force her into despair. He had planned from the beginning to take everything from her. - Jungho was a poor, struggling international student when Yuri first met him in the US. He was envious of Yuri’s affluent background. - As Jungho starts to leave the restaurant, Yuri lunges at him with a knife and scratches his face while staff hold her back. - Yuri is released from a police station and is met by Victor. - Yuri is intent on killing Jungho as she can’t go on living if he’s still alive. Victor insists on helping her to plan how to do it. - Yuri arranges to buy an illegal gun. It’s a revolver with a silencer. Yuri practises shooting it with Victor’s guidance. - Victor didn’t want Yuri to kill with her own hands. Instead of picking her up as planned, Victor went by himself and killed Jungho. He made it look like a robbery. Seeing the blood on Victor’s hands, she realises he prevailed over the programming that forbids a clone to kill a human for her. - With only 6 days left, Yuri reveals confidential info to Victor that he’s a beta clone with a 30-day lifespan. She was testing him at first but she considers their relationship as between a human and a human. She confesses that she loves him. She says her life’s purpose is to protect him. - Yuri is contacted by the police about Jungho and she meets with a detective to answer some questions. The police have photos of Victor but his face isn’t clear. She lets the detective know about Lamhui as Jungho’s mistress. - Yuri arranges a meeting with Chairman Joseph, a strong advocate for clone rights. She wants to introduce him to Victor who is proof that clones have a soul. This is a betrayal of XYZ who see clones only as products. Yuri and Victor are surprised to see Yoojin with Joseph. XYZ are secretly donating political funds to Joseph. - Yoojin orders Yuri to hand over Victor but Yuri refuses. Armed security clones surround them. Victor grabs a gun and shoots the other clones. They tie up Yoojin and Joseph then run away. They are chased in their car which they ditch to catch the subway. - Yuri sends a message to Gaeseong, the black market trading company that sold her the gun. The train is surrounded by armed guards and Yoojin broadcasts into the carriage that she can always track her product. Victor gets Yuri to point a gun to his head and asks her to kill him. She says she’ll kill herself next. - Yoojin orders to blow up the carriage and there’s an explosion. PLOT TWIST: - 3yrs ago, there was an air stewardess called Yuri who met a scientist called Victor on a flight. They met again at a bar and started dating. Eventually they moved in together. Victor had started working at XYZ when they first met. - Victor proposed to Yuri with a plane ticket to Italy. - She asked to let her think about it and she’d reply when she gets back from her next flight for work. As the plane is circling to land, a terrorist blows up the plane. Victor was waiting at the airport for Yuri when it happened. - 3yrs later, Heo Yoojin calls for Victor to test a unique and illegal clone that hasn’t been programmed with the 3 principles. He’s shocked to see Yuri’s face on the clone. Her DNA was replicated. This is meant to help Victor become more immersed in the project. Yoojin tells Victor that his goal is to get this clone pregnant. Yoojin agrees to let Victor keep the baby and the clone when it’s over. - Yoojin calls this the Adam and Eve project. - Yoojin wants to make clones exactly like humans. Learning to love, falling pregnant and giving birth will be proof. - Yuri the clone will think she’s a human tester and Victor will pretend to be the clone she’s testing. Yuri’s fake memories were implanted. - Jungho and Lamhui are actually a real married couple. They’re XYZ engineers who take on the roles of the cheating husband and his mistress. Noel is a gay XYZ tester who plays Yuri’s first love. Jenny is an elite developer at XYZ who plays the mistaken mistress. They all interact with Yuri to test her responses. - Victor is suspicious of Yoojin’s true motives. He just feels exploited by this project. Noel is secretly ordered by Yoojin to keep a close watch on Victor. Noel lets Victor know with a note. - The kiss between Yoojin and Victor was impromptu. - Victor evaluates Yuri as a human being that’s close to perfect. - Yoojin wants to maximise the time left to see how much human emotion Yuri can feel. Yuri thinks Victor has 13 days left. That’s why Yoojin changes the plans to make Yuri commit murder. It’s to see how far Yuri will take her vengeance and harm a human being. - Noel introduces Minho, the world’s first same sex LPC, to Victor. Noel has fallen in love with Minho and doesn’t want him destroyed. Noel plans to illegally remove the 3 principles from Minho. - Later Victor receives news that Noel is dead after being shot by border police while running away with Minho. It’s like a warning to Victor of what will happen if he tries to escape with Yuri. - Noel’s last message to Victor was that Yuri would be destroyed after she gives birth. Victor decides to deviate from Yoojin’s plan and he’ll commit murder for Yuri instead. Then they’ll escape from the city and conceive a child. - After the train explosion, Yuri and Victor lie badly injured on the ground. Yoojin is there as an image beamed from a drone. - Suddenly a car arrives. It’s Noel and Minho. A sniper shoots the armed security clones. Noel and Minho drive away with Yuri, Victor and Sandy the sniper on board. - A week later, Victor wakes up in District 9. - He meets Tom, mayor of the night and the merchant of Gaseong. - The mayor during the day is Sintae, a government official. - Victor learns that 1000s of old, damaged clones have been discarded in this criminal district by XYZ. - When the warranty for a clone expires, the clone is traded in for a new clone and bought back cheaply by the company. - As clones are copies of human bodies, they get the same diseases and injuries. The clones are dumped to save on expensive medical treatment and they don’t qualify for health insurance. - Victor is taken to see Yuri. Her body didn’t survive. Only her CPU chip remains. Despite the extent of her injuries earlier, she was still able to remain alert and think clearly. Yuri has already realised she is actually the clone and Victor is the human. - Victor tells Yuri everything. He says her love wasn’t a delusion and they were definitely lovers. He says she has a soul. - Noel lets Victor know that Yuri’s CPU was designed on purpose so it couldn't be implanted into another clone. The internal battery is designed to shutdown if a connection is forced. The battery life left is about a week. Yuri’s body is cremated. - The news broadcast announces that XYZ are offering a huge bounty for the capture of Victor and Yuri, dead or alive. - Armed gangs start hunting for Victor right away. - Later the government impose martial law on District 9. Under the guise of removing criminals, XYZ will use this as an opportunity to destroy all of the discarded clones, mutants and poor. - Victor finds out from Jenny that she made a 2nd body for Yuri. - It’s located in Hanger 18, a sector with a secret lab. - Victor plans to take Yuri’s CPU chip inside the lab and Noel will implant it into the new body. They are successful but need a final voice authorisation from Yoojin. Victor takes Yoojin at gunpoint from her office to complete the process and Yuri awakens in her new body. She slaps Yoojin. Victor lets Yoojin go and they escape. - As they drive away, Noel reveals his secret: that he’s the younger half-brother of Yoojin. They share the same father. - In the terrorist attack 30yrs ago that killed Yoojin’s mother, Heo Jin was unconscious and later lost a leg. Yoojin woke up from the blast to see her mother shielding them with her whole body from the collapsed ruins of the building. They were there for 3 days. - Yoojin took it upon herself to care for and support her father. That all changed when she was introduced to Noel. - Minho comes with another car and takes Noel away. - Victor and Yuri separate from them and drive off. They stop at an abandoned building and safe house arranged by Tom. - That night Yuri and Victor make love for the first time. (Ch 45) - In the morning, they hear the car with Noel and Minho exploded. - Yoojin secretly had a special device installed in Yuri’s 2nd body.
