In response FL triggers the mechanism and the Emperor is flung far away from the special chair built by FL, originally intended to punish Lady Diathe. - FL is forced to flee by ML who sends her to another noble house far away from Castle Dihas, w/ Cain as her escort. - They exit via a secret passage and come across a spy who dies from poison. FL remembers from the story about the Emperor’s plot to place bombs throughout the castle. - Back in the castle, FL asks Lady Diathe for help. The lady escapes by not using her wigs to hide her red hair. Using the power of her Marquis house, she asks for the aid of noble houses and their soldiers in the nearby hunting grounds. - FL and Cain disguised themselves as Lady Diathe and her maid. They free ML from the dungeon and leave the other knights there to cover his absence. FL disarms the time bombs in pots scattered throughout the castle tunnels while Cain and ML take care of intruders. - ML kisses FL (still thinks she’s a boy) while trying to convince her to flee to the nearest temple. - Margo enters and tries to take FL hostage. She is beaten by Cain and ML. Margo became the hostage instead and the Emperor is notified. Lady Diathe arrives with other nobles and their soldiers to all bear witness before a priestess in this trial against the Emperor’s guard, Margo. FL uses fingerprints as evidence. - ML gives Margo back to the Emperor. He punched Barron then spanked him. He’s shocked at first. - Plot twist: Marina returns to real world just as she’s about to tell all to ML. Time seems to have flowed the same between VR and real world, so she’s been in a coma this whole time. - Her brother Maro hands to FL a hardcopy book from her place with the unfinished story of Lasnarok from Rino’s perspective. They were arrested and the lady’s family stripped of their nobility. - FL meets a man who was also reborn into this world. He says there are others like them. They cannot return but might be able to see how their old world is doing through a saint. - The Prince is losing interest in playing around with women and after getting dumped by one lady, he wants to make FL fall in love with him again. - FL sends letter to meet with the Saint. ML finds out from the extra security he has shadowing her. - FL helps her friend Lady Ronnefeldt (Marquis) serve tea to the Queen of Flanders, an important potential business partner. The Queen is so impressed by the special custom flower opening tea made by FL that she offers FL to come work for her. FL then opens a tea shop for commoners and attracts them by free tastings and special discounts. - In his jealousy, the Prince tries to slander FL by claiming the commoner tea store setup under the name Smith is illegal. The Emperor himself gave permission for the business license. The store itself is to provide a study on the effects of black tea as a replacement for gin among commoners. - As punishment the Prince is sent into exile to the East. - The Prince sent a letter of apology to FL. Life was boring so FL tried to learn magic but her master “Destiny” ridiculed then abandoned her after leaving a dire prophecy. FL family worries she might disappear one day. FL wants to cherish them more. - Political marriage arranged between Bolshake and Dewello families for FL and Duke Kylus. FL moves into Dewello estate. - As “punishment” for Crown Prince Edwin entering her room by mistake, FL has the knights HUG eachother - FL thinks Serenia Howen (Mooyong Jia), lady from other world (martial artist from Ancient China), is fated to be with Duke Kylus. Misunderstandings and hilarity ensues as she tries to distance herself from them. - Unknown to FL, her father gave condition that she has power to annul engagement to Duke Dewello if she isn’t happy. - Duke ponders what would make her happy, with help from his aide Victor Howen and romance novels. - Duke is a prodigy in everything, but is socially inept. - Duke slowly falling for FL with her unpredictable ways and idiosyncrasies. - Mage Destiny gives an apocalyptic “ash phenomenon” prophecy to the Emperor and Crown Prince. Msg via Crown Prince at engagement rehearsal, mage tells FL “to struggle more desperately” - FL meets Serenia to dispel hopes that she can help with or has any info about traversing dimensions. Final well wishes between ML and FL are made before he leaves for war. - FL sends a msg via Raya of a traitor among their soldiers. - FL and Noah discover corruption and embezzlement of the maintenance funds for ML’s palace. ML and co. discover the Parlams have been making and supplying weapons to other countries, including the Empire’s war enemies. It’s also revealed that Gerard killed the previous Marquis. The Parlams hired a group of bandits and are using corrupt means to incite wars. - FL finally confesses her love to ML. - They make love to each other for the 1st time (ch 76). - ML is sent off to a 2nd war at the border. Ricardo relays a message that it’s a trap. Lord Stuart from the border is in hiding (not murdered) and was bribed by the Parlams. - The Emperor has collapsed after falling ill. The Empress has taken control of the palace. Stuart falsely testifies to the council that the 1st Prince committed treason by using this war to incite rebellion. - The Empress imprisons FL after FL refuses to falsely accuse ML of embezzling funds for his rebellion. FL is saved by Ethan. She runs through the forest and is saved by ML. - 2nd Prince Noah announces at council that he’s giving up his right to throne. ML is cleared of all treason charges after hearing the truth from Stuart. - ML and FL start living together in the same palace. - ML gets them a new set of wedding rings. - FL has to start to learn how to be the next Empress. - FL finds out why ML has been avoiding sex with her, all thanks to ML reading in a book about waiting 6mths when dating before doing the deed. They both make up for lost time in the bedroom. - Oscar arranged to meet FL to tell her something about the succession. Gerard finds him first and while they have a heated discussion Oscar accidentally falls off a cliff, injuring his head. Oscar has partial amnesia and only has memories up to 15yo. - Gerard takes advantage of Oscar’s condition and stops ML’s coronation by introducing Oscar as Louis, the son of the previous Emperor and rightful heir who received the Crown Prince ring. - House Parlam protects Oscar / Louis and only allow him to move into the imperial palace accompanied by the Parlam army. Oscar will be evaluated by the Elder Council alongside ML on each person’s suitability to be the Crown Prince. - Gerard tells Oscar that he has an unrequited love for FL to explain how they know each other. - Gracie hosts a ball to celebrate becoming the heir. They use this as an opportunity to network and build alliances for ML. - FL holds a fake auction for Luna Sinclair, a famous opera singer to lure her stalker, Glen Brown. He’s protected by the Parlams.

She is penitent to her family and the servants for her past behaviour and makes amends right away. NB: Family consists of father, stepmother, 2 older brothers Lenne and Chris. - She outlines future events and hopes she can apply her medical knowledge to help. 1st has to stop her engagement to ML Prince Linden in 2mths to avoid total ruin of her family. - The Emperor of Brittia Empire has always been kind to FL. They meet and FL gives insights on war w/ Republic. Hopes to stop many deaths incl her brother Chris. Diagnoses Emperor’s illness as diabetes. FL asks to cancel engagement but Emperor proposes bet instead for her to prove her worth as doctor in 6mths when she’s 17yo. - Teresa Hospital: relief centre for the poor run by Clorance family. FL hides her true identity, called Rose. Assigned under genius doctor Greyham Fallon. She’s hailed as a true genius / prodigy. - ML in disguise as “Ron” using magic, arrives with his wounded aide at FL hospital where she performs revolutionary surgery. - ML as Ron sees FL for regular medical exams. - Royal birthday celebrations: - Duchess Harver, who has Parkinson’s disease. FL saves her from choking to death w/ unproven medical procedure. Arrested for harming royal. Knighted after proven innocent. Cover as Rose is blown when head doctors visit her. - Medical licensing exam: questions similar to those on Earth. FL gets top score. - 3rd Prince Michael (Mil): was FL’s only friend who died. He’s loved by the people and is Empire’s strongest knight who uses aura. His mother Marian the 1st consort was the insane mastermind behind ML’s Empress mother Rebecca and older sister Evelyn falling to their deaths years ago. Leads aristocratic faction w/ his uncle, head of Childe family. - Lady Yulian Childe: has brother Albert, was rival for ML w/ FL. The Childe family hold great financial influence and are on hostile terms w/ the Clorance family and the Emperor as they lead the aristocratic faction. - Louis Nicholas of the Republic: sees FL as trophy to be won in the upcoming war. - Both FL brothers will go to war, much to family despair - Signs of an epidemic: FL identifies it as cholera, has full authority from Emperor to resolve the problem of inadequate sewerage that’s polluting the water. - FL volunteers herself in place of her brother Chris to go to war as a medic. ML is against it, admits to himself that he’s fallen in love w/ FL. After getting kicked out by her father, FL is taken home and cared for by Yulian Childe. - FL is granted position of medical commander. She vastly improves conditions at the military hospital and has more medical supplies and volunteers. She has new nickname as Lady with the Lamp. - FL has confused feelings for ML vs ML as Ron - FL gives strategic advice at meeting for upcoming battle - FL saves Albert Childe in dangerous grenade operation - After prisoner exchange, Empire soldiers sent back infected w/ highly contagious disease. FL quarantines the sick and PPE given to medical staff. Calls for Louis Nicholas to stand trial for violating international law. - Republican army take FL hostage. ML rescues her. While on the run from the Republicans, FL discovers ML is also Ron. - FL is shot. While ML carries her to safety, Michael keeps Republicans busy and kills Louis Nicholas. - FL has blood transfusion from ML who happens to have matching blood type. FL family arrive later to take her home to recuperate - Eventually the Republic offers unconditional surrender (10 mths later): - Her brother Chris assigned as personal assistant to ML - FL assigned as senior medical professor and royal physician. Law amended so Empress may have work outside of her own duties (suggested by ML). Emperor also approved foundation of medical college, which FL juggles w/ her court lady duties. - Battle for succession of the throne between ML vs Prince Michael. - ML plans to purge the aristocracy to avenge the deaths of his mother and sister. - Aristocratic faction see FL as their greatest threat due to her popularity which has also seen a rise in popularity of ML. - FL and ML finally admit their feelings of love for eachother. They kiss for 1st time during victory celebration in public. - ML takes FL away on a short trip to stop her from overworking. He proposes to her with a ring. - While she’s asleep one night, ML visits the grave of his mother and sister. - A duel between Earl Meerket (aristocrats) and Earl Dorrison (royals) has both men critically wounded. FL is in charge and conducts their surgery side by side. - Health of Emperor is fading, has dizzy spells and collapses - Engagement ceremony: Dr Fallon and Prince Michael have mixed feelings due to their unrequited love for FL. - During the ceremony, the Emperor has a heart attack and collapses. ML is suspected of poisoning him. FL finds the cause is lymphoma, a blood disorder and not poison. - FL is rewarded with the title Countess at the age of 18. She is also awarded the Royal Cross that’s gives absolute immunity. - ML plans to establish a new bank through the finance department, and start a money revolution by printing paper money to replace gold and silver. This will directly challenge the financial power of the Childe family. - imprisonment of the aristocratic faction ramped up after ML was cleared of their accusations that he poisoned the Emperor. - Marquis Childe is given days to live after he is diagnosed with necrotising pancreatitis. He pushes Michael to lead a revolt and take ML’s head before he dies. - The plot to kill ML by the aristocratic faction is overheard by FL while she’s visiting Michael. They hold her captive by tying her up and subduing her with a sleep spell. Michael is furious at her treatment and has her released. While she’s still recovering and asleep, Michael tells her that he loves her and that he has to go kill his brother now. - FL asks ML to spare the lives of those responsible for the deaths of his mother and sister.
