I'm glad that Mami didn't adapt her mother's hostility towards her sister (well maybe for a while but she changed her mind soon) This manga speaks a lot abt how parents can potentially influence their child through their words and how they treat them as a whole. She may have a bad childhood but eventually when shew grew up she found people than she can finally depend on and move forward from the self image her mom forced on her. The idealistic ending is that they would make up. But i like this ending more, it's realistic despite the bittersweet feeling.
