Goodbye, Mom

Ongoing | Kim in-jeong | 2019 released

reading masterpieces like this reminds me of the fact that before mothers were mothers, they were humans too. before they were looked down by society as simply caregivers of the household (which i totally disagree w the simply bcs doing housework is just as hard as a corporate job) they have their own lives outside of being just a mother, they have hobbies, and they can be broken too. i really like stories that goes in depth with women relationships and motherhood, two women navigating life for the first time with each other. shows that mother & daughter relationship isn't always wholesome, sometimes, it is more complicated than anything. there are times that i would hate my mom's actions and words, its natural, but at the end of the day, i'll always come to her. i wish we get to have more literature like this :( we regret because we love.
