holy fuck. binged. i know i've said for a couple of mangas that this is my fav or whatever but. there's just something so raw and concise in the writing. the expressions, the paneling. the emphasis is always right. the postures, the detail. everything. i fell in love. takara became an actor thanks to yuujin - he had aphonia before, and acting in the theatre with yuujin gave him a voice. they had a .. complicated relationship. i think beyond love. my aro heart feels fucked. yuujin wanting takara to succeed, for the world to recognize how fucking brilliant of an actor he is. but takara is super neurodivergent (also he mentioned in passing an orphanage so?? he spent some time there, his parents had him very late, mom at 42 and dad at 50) bad at reading bad at organizing needs yuujin to read out the script and he *sees* the characters, as their child self interestingly enough. and we see him achieve success slowly and break away, or rather grow, out of the codependency with yuujin. yuujin also realizes that what he had with ta wasnt normal. and there's something about him that makes me feel so interpolated. i see myself in him, where i might not believe in myself enough to dare. its haunting, chilling. because takara is only where he is thanks to yuujin, to all the labour and the grounding he has given him. i hope that we get to see yuujin more and see him grow. takara seems to have always had low self-esteem for himself, and most recently he had psychogenic aphonia and regained his voice when he was thinking about yuujin - "if its you you can find me, you can figure out" and very poetically yuujin (in this daydream) says i've been looking for you forever you went missing - and there are also patterns that ta displays of not knowing who he is, not being able to conceive of himself as apart of yuujin, of not being to tell them apart. but when he regains his voice, it is because he realizes that all of him is owed to yuujin, and that it belongs to him. and that if that is the case, then through the body of ta, they should keep going as far as they can. and its fucking chilling to see how he wants to act again after that. in retrospect, its quite interesting to see how he is contending with having to distance himself from how yuujin-takara used to come up with character interpretations, and how that was a way for yuujin to live through ta, to control him almost to hold him back. really visceral. his hair, notably is very symbolic - first time its different we see it tied up, which he refused to do before because of yuu, and then cuts it. and we only see his face when he is solyony, after he understands clearly (from acting in transicence movie where he had to kill the char interpretation yuu-ta came up with) from this departure, this chasm, this death, that yuu is actually jealous of ta. GOD I COULD GO ON FOEVER BUT HONESTLY JUST REREAD IT. ITS SO GOOD. HOLY FUCK.
