what to say..! meticulous world-building that centers on a tyrannical pedophile king with many, many basterd children. shin and wolfgang's story is built up so nicely, i arguably like season 1 better honestly - 2nd one was a bit hard to understand but his grandfather essentially tried to dethrone and kill him and used haiyan who deserved better !!! anyways shin's character is believable, loves the king but rationalizes it and seems to not know/believe that it is reciprocated (would make sense since he grew up as former king's favorite child)
