Oh man I wish they weren't related, totally forgot about the fact. It really hit me when he was struggling with his sexuality, it's not easy it fr isn't, the pain of disappointing your mother and wanting to live up to their expectations but being unable to because it goes against your identity is rough. But I think the moms reaction in this was moreso because they were related, you can see that altho she doesn't encourage it she doesn't totally shun them either. And when she found out about him getting a gf she wasn't pleased because somewhere she felt guilty, sighh. tbh I don't like how they got together, I wish there was more angst, maybe the black hair growing up and experiencing and experimenting with his sexuality
