Very good manhwa. Like I can’t emphasise this enough. It’s about a prince who has had to live estranged from his corrupt family and eventual is in poverty until he is rediscovered by said family. He meets the prime ministers son and through him, learns about the extent of a monster his father is and decides to take the throne from him, himself. Season 1 deals with the dark politics surrounding this and does it masterfully well. The romance angle just adds to the stakes and doesn’t take away from the story.
Season 2 delves into the politic problems of managing a kingdom and how the prime minister tries to hide his feelings for the (newly crowned) King. I like how even though they have won the battle against the evil former king, his actions are still felt in the aftermath of the kingdom. I really, REALLY recommend this story, especially if you like plot driven BL.
