When the reincarnation happened he actually had his memories as host of fragment of light and played it cool so ML wouldn't notice. He was then meeting envoy of rulers and asked him about his son and his decision in this timeline. Before the envoy goes back to his world he passed on the message of thanks of the rulers to him as well, not just his son. Envoy asked if there's anything else he can do for him before he leaves and dad asked him to erase his memories before as he doesn't want ml to suspect him as he has keen eyes.
