He sacrificed his most valuable treasure, memories of Hailynn's mother (roana orpheus) to protect Hailynn & turn back time. Not clear cos of poor tls. Mother actually from a noble family and fake father still was the villain who wanted to covet her mom and get in the way of Kalisto & her mom. Hailynn was reincarnated as her y/o self after she died in a fire locked in a Cabin at Count's place eho adopted her when she was 7. She was abused & locked all her life til someone set fire to it (either the countess, their daughter or another enemy). After she got reincarnated the same things are happening as she was adopted again by the Count. On their way from the orphanage to their home, Hailynn found a chance to escape & jumped of the carriage. She fell onto a bed of flowers on the side street w/ a young boy. When she was cornered by Count's knights he was followed & saved by the boy who turned out to be the 2nd prince. When both of them were cornered Duke Vincent Kalisto showed up & saved them. Kalisto was tasked to find the 2nd prince & also served as his guardian when he was younger. Kalisto was known as the King of Holy Land as the Kalistos are known for having enormous holy power. He also wields the legendary holy sword. The 2nd prince tasked Duke to look after Hailynn who didn't want to go w/ the Count. He called the priest Jade to heal the feverish MC who discovered that Hailynn possesses enormous holy power like the Duke & clearly has the unique feature of Kalistos, Silverish blonde hair & light blue eyes. She's clearly the spitting image of Duke so Jade questions if she really isn't his daughter. Duke knows he's not hers as he would be 18 if he had her & he has never fooled around nor drank alcohol. They took a holy test & 10/10 the reagent turned blue w/c signifies their blood relationship. He ordered his secretary knight to look into his father & found out he had a woman w/c was rumored in the capital 10 yrs ago but the details were erased from all records by the "Eagle" some high authority that keeps records. Duke thought his father may have ordered it. The Count plotted to take back Hailynn so the emperor called for Kalisto saying that if Hailynn was proven as a Kalisto then she would be the crown princess to be married to the 1st prince. It was a big news as Kalistos haven't birthed to a girl for the last 1k years. During the confirmation the emperor poured the reagent water in front of the audiences but the water turned purple w/c signifies that there is no blood relationship. Kalisto new something was plotted despite his people monitoring the reagent so the only way to forge the process was when the blood of Hailynn was taken & poured into the water. Duke is set to prove his innocence & requested for another confirmation. He knew he was being cornered to take all the blame for the opposing faction's plots against the 2nd prince. While Duke was gone, knights stormed his mansion to take Hailynn right after the 1st confirmation saying it was the emperor's order to bring her back to the Count. Count was waiting w/ the 1st/crown prince who resemble the 2nd prince look but was arrogant & haughty unlike the friendly & refreshing 2nd prince. Kalisto tried to go after the carriage of the royal family but it turned out to be a fake as no one was in it so he didn't realize Hailynn was shouting inside a disguised carriage w/ the 1st prince & count when he passed by them as Duke was furious after being misdirected to the fake royal carriage. Hailynn arrived in the Count's mansion & as expected she was being treated badly by the maids & the family of the Count. Despite that Jess who was also assigned as his knight in his prebipus life for 10 years defends her when she was accused of mistreating the daughter of the Count & a cloacked man was monitoring her & helping her in the shadows (his personal knight in Kalistos). Later when she was imprisoned again in the cabin she light up a match stick she kept & set fire in the cabin. She surprisingly escaped through sheer desperation that her holy powers teleported her outside. She ran as faraway in the forest & met. Bear w/c befriended her. Kalisto heard the news & searched for Hailynn immediately even deciding to postpone his departure for an expedition unless he & his men find her. Near him was a bear running fast w/ Hailynn on its back. They successfully found Hailynn but asked her to return to the Count's place for a while as the Duke is pressed w/ time. Duke promised to bring her home as soon as he gets back from the expedition. Hailynn agreed. She was once again locked in a Cabin but the 2nd prince would visit her & using his magic powers he would get in her room despite the metal bars & helped Hailynn get out of her room to find the pendant & info about her mother in the Count's library. They found her mom's portrait & immediately. Soon after the duke arrived & completed the expedition in 1 month vs the expected 3 mos. The emperor wasn't able to come up w/ a plan yet to fix the issue regarding Hailynn. He has ordered Hailynn to be executed but if she dies his ambition to have the crown prince to marry Hailynn to have more powerful heir & to control tge holy land would not come to fruition. Surprisingly Duke agreed to kill Hailynn w/c shocked the emperor. The emperor knows that the Duke never lies so he asked what's his deal. Duke said that if Hailynn, being truly a Kalisto, will not come back to the Kalistos then it's better for her to die than join another family. The emperor gave in but his one condition was for Hailynn to marry the crown prince. The confirmation was repeated & announced that Hailynn really is a Kalisto. Hailynn was tasked to meet the crown prince every once in a while but the crown prince continued to be arrogant. He hates the Duke & even insulted the Kalistos & Hailynn. At the palace she learned that assassinating the 2nd prince has been a normal occurrence & the emperor hates him & would even hurt him. Kalisto & 2nd prince Noah also helped her investigate her mother wgo proved to be the one in the picture but has already died after giving birth to her. She also contracted w/ the haughty holy sword Theo w/ is the twin of Duke's holy sword Rio. Rio is the sword w/ the power of life & death while Theo is the sword of remembering & forgetting memories.

He turned a blind eye on what Cahill did as he knew he's actually acting meek. He'll borrow people from 2nd prince Rociel for now as they will be lacking manpower lol. 47-48 Avaritia monarch of Avarice/Greed (used to be one of the seven monarchs but is now the one & only monarch after consuming the other 6) saves disguised princess from getting caught by his brother or she'll be revealed. Avaritia still yearning in greed for achmage even after she sealed him. The seal has weakened & he was able to get free.
