MC has psychic dreams about the future (no one knows why ¯_(ツ)_/¯ ) One night he has avery serious one about some dude getting hit by a car. At first he's kinda horrified, but thinks "whatever i didn't even see that guys face i'll just pretend i never had the dream", but then BAM He meets the guy. A barista at a cafe on campus and our MC feels so pressured to keep this guy safe because as it turns out he's a real good dude. And you guessed it, this dude is the LI. So when MC introduces himself to try and insert himself in LI's life in order to protect him, the LI thinks that he's flirting with him, or at least expressing interest. So the misunderstanding between them grows as the MC starts to unintentionally and unknowingly develop feelings. Peak misunderstanding and general angst is when the LI gets hit by that car and it's technically the MC's fault. Homeboy is guilt-ridden but lowkey happy that the LI has feelings for him. They clear up the misunderstanding when the Mc confesses about his feelings and his dreams. And they begin to date. But right away there's some asshole who likes to make people miserable and he tries to get between them/blackmail them. It doesn't work because even though the LI seems like such a sweet dude - He Does Not Fuck Around. He puts the AH in a headlock and forces him to apologize. Side characters also have a cute story where one guy has had a super long crush on his bff He accidentally confesses his feelings after getting jealous about the main couple's relationship. The crush freaks out but after some dramatic moments the guy proposes they date for a month and if it doesn't work out they'll go back to being friends forever. The crush agrees and they end up feeling like it's not all that different to being friends and even agrees to stretch their contract relationship for another month. Indicating to us readers that they have developed feelings right back. It's all super cute and I really liked it. Glad i re-read it ^^
