Remarried Empress
Edit: stopped reading it. There's a decline on the plot and it becomes just wish fullfilment. I wish ot remained court drama too, all the stuff with sudden magical skills is ruining it for me. Everyone's hating on Rashta even when she was a runaway slave with nothing but her looks to fight with. The real villain here is the emperor who wants to be with women who can't refuse him. First Navier who was raised to be his wife and then Rashta who had nowhere else to go so basically be with the emperor or die as a slave. Her lack of etiquette and bad manners are the direct results of Sovietshi not teaching her any and just throwing her in the middle of the nobles. Rashta probably really thought that Navier would welcome her because as a slave she's learned that no matter what you smile and adapt to the situation. There's no love with no ability to say no and the only power Rashta has is the love of the emperor and on top of that she's carrying all sorts of trauma about her past. She is stupid and vain and desperate but I find it all to be quite human and thats why this story is so good!
When the Villainess Loves
C97 It's a bit frustrating how tense the main character is mad how the theme of death and incurable diseases are treated in this story. The story makes less and less sense the more it progresses. Also everyone basically falls on love with her because of her illness and how positive she is despite it. Still we readers no that there's nothing at stake here since she's not actually dying, sick or even in pain. I guess it's for a bit younger readers and it's nicely drawn.
