Our poor fl marries an idiot and irons out the issues in his territory as best as she can while he's drinking tea with his childhood friend. Really hope this is continued, I can't wait to see FL clean up the Duke's mansion and attitude, as well as showing these other bastards who's the real boss.

The Villainess is a Marionette

Ongoing | Han Yi Rim,Mangle | 2021 released

97/ This is a power fantasy and not a bad one. Cayena is a minor villain in a romance novel and, you know the drill, an office worker ends up possessing Cayena's body after death in "real life". Honestly, the whole novel thing is being used thoroughly to put Cayena on an even bigger pedestal, which doesn't have to be bad... It's just hella confusing because Cayena still recalls novel details, while her existence as another person is forgotten about entirely. She starts acting and remembering everything as if she were the original Cayena. That's the biggest flaw so far. Ah, and since this is essentially a power fantasy, the author wastes no time praising Cayena whenever the story allows for it. It feels so pointless sometimes. Yet, it's not as annoying or just wrong as with other OP leads. The plot's there, Cayena has clear goals and motivations, the other characters are solid too, and there's a lot of info and politics to unpack. Normally I'm the type to be super turned off by stories that lick their MC's soles, but all that stuff makes it enjoyable. With the context of Cayena's original fate, it's gratifying to see her be able to use others like she was fated to be used if that makes sense. There's no real fear of Cayena being hurt, but she still feels vulnerable, especially on an emotional level. What I also really like is the larger twist in the newer chapters. Seeing her character and beliefs take such a turn is refreshing and almost realistic.
