Ch 56 I gave this one a chance, and, even though I wasn't really expecting it to grow on me, it did. I think there are elements of the plot that are pretty typical like being reborn into the enemy kingdom, but this one manages to be pretty dubious while also not feeling too heavy, even though it technically is. It's actually hilarious how little the Emperor actually being married matters, as well as the fact that I'm pretty sure that our MC is underaged, but I think the fact that he's mostly cocky and self-righteous because he's decisive, talented, and good at everything makes it easy to keep it in that amoral yaoi space where actions aren't equivalent to irl. The dynamics are great, we have a cute Sephiroth clone and I'm somewhat intrigued by the tangle of his past life, so interested in seeing where this goes on the off chance it isn't actually finished.

The art is cute, the plot is mid. I'm getting tired of scheming wives, consorts on behalf of their families and oh my stars does this beta discrimination plotline seem utterly arbitrary with how unexplained it is.
