At the End of the Road

Ahhh the webtoon itself was very good. But I just couldn't personally get into it. There was too much detachment from the other characters, the heartbreak after heartbreak scenarios made it hard for me to get involved emotionally with them because I had a lingering feeling the point would be moot. There was little resolve for the characters. yeah, the MC and love interest sorta resolved things personally, but there was no resolve between the "brothers". And even though his brother is garbage, the flashbacks did make me feel some form of sympathy for him. He had internal trauma that ultimately developed into a warped adulthood because of bad coping skills. I would have liked to see them talk it out. For the brother to recognize his faults and to maybe get some closure between them if anything. That part was sorta left for interpretation I guess. Don't get me wrong, I love the story arcs and the characters, I just think there wasn't enough healing time between each disaster for the reader. I get that some stories are just like that, but as for me it just isn't my cup of tea. However!! I couldn't BELIEVE how satisfying it was to see the MC repair "his" reputation. By getting back at the bullies and not holding back. it was supeerrr awesome to watch. It was so fucking refreshing. I also really enjoyed the part at the end with them all playing that game, that was really cute and the authors mishap with the files made me crack up because I know that all too well. TLDR: Story in itself was pretty good, I liked the art but the story style just wasn't my cup of tea and I respect that for others it might be :)
