FL, daughter of a wealthy count, falls in love at first sight & pursues him, mostly through his stomach by cooking him lunch & sweets. -Prince likes her bc she doesn't pursue him for crown & looks, but she doesn't like him or his arrogant attitude -FL & ML constantly try to avoid prince, but it's dangerous to anger royalty -At welcome ball, ML saves FL when he tries to take her to fly through the night sky. Prince's fiancé candidate begins to confront her after bc prince is ignoring her for FL Spoilers: -Fiance candidate will continue to misunderstand FL's intentions & get angry at FL -Prince attendant is her bro & also misunderstands FL & gets angry at her -FL convinces her BFF that prince is trash, so she helps protect them -Prince publicly declares FL as his wife, basically abolishing the consort system. He challenges ML to a duel that ML can't refuse. Prince uses forbidden artifact that forces the loser to follow winner's wishes. ML wins by using artifacts to counter magic & then amplify it to make prince run out of magic & pass out. -Public starts to see the truth that FL really just wants to be with ML & that prince was acting as a tyrant. -When king & queen return from territory inspections, prince loses right to throne for using forbidden artifact, trying to exile a noble for personal reasons, & messing with consort system -Fiance candidate realizes if she just listened to FL, she could've avoided conflict. She thinks maybe she wasn't suited to be queen -ML's fam rly likes FL. FL's status means she can't marry a commoner, so ML's older bro gives ML succession rights to barony -Queen wants FL to marry 2nd prince now. Ugh. Idk what happens next
