Our Companionship
Unexpectedly wholesome mob boss with social anxiety? Also there's a surprise MMORPG element to this cause it wouldn't be a manhwa without one. Honestly just a generic manhwa trope checklist speedrun at this point.
Doutei Nana-kun Foreign Love
ah yes the classic fake/practice relationship trope ( ̄︶ ̄)
Hosik's story
this is one of those mixed feelings ones. Yeah the start is pretty bad on multiple levels, and the love interest can be manipulative, but I rate these based on enjoyment. And let me tell you I am high as fuck on nightquil right now and it's my birthday so I don't care. Everyone in the comments keeps hating on the art but I like it. It reminds me of the old 90s/00s style yaoi. Plus it's better than the typical nasty fucking clip studio paint asset flip ass art style I see in every fucking manhwa now. Jinx/ BJ Alex I'm looking at you. Also if you fucking hypocrites can call those two plus Love is an Illusion (My mortal enemy of a manhwa I hope every physical copy in my local Barnes and Nobles burns) pinnacles of fiction despite having more rape and worse art/story then I'm allowed to like this one. Would I say it's a masterpiece? No. We are on goddamn yaoi porn site, change those standards. I thought the middle and end were cute and I just like cute fluff okay.
Practiced Liar
very cute, I do love the hyper specific trope of quiet and shy love interest who's actually really obsessed with MC.
Why Are You So Kind To Everyone Except Me?
I hate miscommunication plots like these so much. Like I've read worse obviously, but literally half the plot is miscommunication that they don't solve until the literally second to last chapter. There's such a thing as doing miscommunication well for both comedic and dramatic effect. I mean Yuri on ice's romance plot is literally built on it. but that's extremely done well and there's an actual plot outside of the miscommunication, plus we don't even KNOW there's any misunderstandings until near the last episode and by then their relationship has already evolved past needing to resolve it. When we know the entire time what both parties are thinking it just kind of dulls it. This manhwa was actually kind of good when we didn't know exactly what LI thought and was pissy about. I don't know, this probably doesn't deserve 2 Stars but I'm really sick of every fucking manhwa being miscommunication central.
How to Train Your Healer
fuck this one's so good ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ, it's hilarious and the style changes are amazing, I can tell the romance is a SLOW slow burn, but I'm fine with that because the actual game mechanics and other character relationships are really interesting. MC treating LI like his personal discord kitten is hilarious, and the LI in general being built up as this mysterious guy only to turn out to be a cutie patootie is amazing. It's pretty obvious he's a veteran player on an alt trying to get close to MC, but that just makes him cuter
