10/3/24 I feel like the direction this story is going in is that eventually, Sam-Myeong is going to have a massive mental breakdown and become an extremely broken, vulnerable shell of himself from all the sexual abuse (guilt from feeling physically pleasured by rape and a man), all of the plague patients who died due to a lack of his care bc he’s trapped in the palace (guilt from feeling like he’s directly responsible for multiple deaths), and the revelation that his dad was murdered. But I want to believe that if this does happen and SM ends up so mind broken that he maybe develops Stockholm syndrome it won’t be glorified or seen as romantic, since this story isn’t tagged as romance >.< I’m trusting the process! I hope the author knows what they’re doing by incorporating a lot of violent scenes… top already killed mc’s parents, possibly killed everyone in the infirmary mc ran, and prolly hunting down the daughter… gosh I hope he doesn’t pull out any pity card about his tragic past, and mc ends up forgiving him. I hope he doesn’t turn 180 too.. he is batshit crazy, no matter how much character development he goes through there’s really no remedy or redemption for him. This gotta have tragic ending, with the death of bottom and the ruin of the nation, or with some random royal blood occurring and offing the top. Ain’t now way they’re gonna end up together in this life unless bottom gets Stockholm syndrome and looses himself.

10/21/23 damn they’re both dumb af but so am i cuz i keep reading lmaooo waiting on that regret arc to hit for the seme and it better be good. i need him crying, groveling, crawling until his nails are cracked 5/26/25: finished reading. i liked the heartache i felt whenever mido fucked up. was waiting for his regret the most and i was a lil disappointed bc it was over with so quickly. i did love how the artist would draw cracks on him as his despair deepened, it really showed how flawed he was and that he wasn’t keeping it together at all - one push and he’d break. comments : Y'all don't understand him. Yah think it's that easy to accept? All his life, Jichan was living in a dream where his Mido was as sweet as candy and as caring as an angel, can't even kill a fly. He lived because of that. He's hoping that if ever he finds Mido, they'll go back to what they used to be, he's ready to accept his anger but in his mind, time heal wounds so Mido's going to forgive him and everything's gonna be the same. It's the expectation vs the reality. He just can't accept that his Mido became the person he is right now and the most painful for him is that the Mido right now was capable of doing something horrible as he just did, that just meant that his anger was so intense that he's able to do that. And if you think about it, what are Jichan's sacrifices for? - he also said in the earlier chapters that if Mido wont forgive him, its okay as long as Mido is okay and if not, he will do anything to help Mido be happy even if it means he's not in his life. This chapter is him basically realizing hi trauma from that asshole who claimed that he knows Mido but was actually Mido. He's not over reacting, its a trauma response - Ok ok I seriously believe he's not over reacting. Believing that the sweet child you loved so dearly has grown to be a monster and he hates you. He probably expected the hatred from Mido for abandoning him but who could ever imagine Mido would go this far. He'll how could anyone imagine such a horrible situation. Denial of your entire world falling apart seems like a natural course for his emotions to take. You'd want to try and forget your abuser but he's someone you loved the ultimate soul crusher. I'm just saying his spiraling is warneted.

3/28/23 TOXIC MALE LEAD he a dumbass. still doing everything wrong at his second chance at life. his first life, he was toxic. second life, nothing changed. but i need to see him cry lmaoo 5/10/25: it was a so-so story. your typical second chance at life reincarnation story where it dates back to the joseon era (historical cliche). a rich noble ends up liking the help. jo moonyoung liked geolson ever since he was a child. but that child kept making life difficult for geolson without even knowing it. years pass and they’re adults now, which means moonyoung can order geolson in his chambers whenever he pleases so. geolson was so distraught with everything and hated life bc of him. in the end, this lifetime ended in tragedy bc moonyoung killed everyone around geolson so geolson asked him to kill him too. geolson took the blade from moonyoung’s hands and did it himself with moonyoung watching. in the second life, not much had changed except for their names. geolson was no seukhyun and jo moonyoung was lee hanyoung. lee hanyoung remembered everything about the first life while seukyun had no memory of it. hanyoung didn’t want history to repeat itself but he made things worse bc he didn’t want to lose him a second time around like how he lost geolson. he kept repeating his mistakes like keeping him from working, making threats, distancing ppl around him, raping him. then seukhyuns grandpa died and that was the last straw. his memories came back and recollected all the horrible things that happened in the first lifetime. he leaves hanyoung and hanyoung knows he fucked ip bc he allows it and keeps his distance. 2 years pass with no contact but they meet again at the secretary’s wedding. seukyun says he’s not the geolson from the past and jo moonyoung is no longer that of his past either, so this allows him to move forward and accept lee hanyoung for who he is, not who he was. overall, i didn’t hate it. i liked the art and i liked the cliche. plus im sucker for a lean top fckin a bigger dude - that was yum. also loved his red eyes, it fit him well.
