Suddenly Became a Princess One Day
Claude is such a protective father after we get over the heartless aspect of him. Athy is also SOO... MOE. I love seeing their father-daughter relationship grow. The male leads are unique in their own ways and it's hard to choose one for Athy ahhh. Athy and Lucas have that frenemy relationship and it's ADORABLE seeing them bickering! At the same time Lucas is always there to help Athy when she needs it. Ijekiel is so gentle and his relationship with Athy is like a relationship between a prince and a princess. Even though he's gentle, he also knows what he wants to do and will set his mind to it! At the end of the day, I think Lucas fits Athy the best though but Ijekiel is still adorable asfjdjd. Some of their meetings are too iconic. Jeanette's struggles to get accepted by her father and sister are also very genuine and understandable. The fluff of the story is lovely but the angst is also heartwrenching. Also the art is like super beautiful. Every scene is like a snapshot from a painting! The backgrounds are all so beautiful and even the clothes of the characters are well designed. Basically I feel that this manga is a great balance between family, friendship and romance.
Seduce the Villain's Father
Yerenica and Euradian's interactions have certainly made my day. Yerenica's attempts to seduce Euradian are super hilarious and her innocent charms have really won me over :D It's also heartwarming seeing how Euradian warms up to Yerenica and how he teases her! Please just get together already. The black magic girl is just a stereotypical villainess and she can be really annoying... Thankfully, Euradian seems to have his suspicions about her so he and Yerenica will just need to find proof to oust her for her crimes.
Kaichou Wa Maid-sama
Forever a classic. Usui is such a charming male lead. His interactions with Misaki are gold, and I love seeing how he weasels his way into tsundere Misaki's heart! Misaki is also a strong and independent female lead who has her own beliefs and principles. There are some cliche and unrealistic moments, but they don't bother me too much since this is fiction, and our characters more than make up for them.
True Beauty
I am one of those people who thought the manhwa started out with a really great theme and I was looking forward to see how the author would explore complex social issues relating to the idea of beauty. But by now, it seems that the author has totally forgotten about that notion. I really liked how Jugyeong would help others with her makeup skills and giving them confidence boosts before, but now the main focus of the story lies more on Jugyeong's love triangle and them making stupid decisions. That may have been fine if they have grown from their experiences, but some of their actions later contradict with what they say which makes me perplexed. Hopefully the author will find back the direction she was originally going for with this manhwa.
Empress of Another World
Sabina is my OG heroine! She is independent, intelligent and strong. Lucas is also really charming (even though he's a narcissist) and I love seeing how Sabina's presence has helped to subdue some of his cruelty. Sabina and Lucas's relationship really blossomed throughout the story and even when they both realised their feelings for each other, the spark in their relationship didn't die. Lucas's possessiveness for Sabina can become overboard at times, but because Sabina is a strong female character she manages to tame him. They complement each other really well!
I'm the Ex-Girlfriend of a Soldier
Instead of being reincarnated as a side character or villainess, this time the female lead is reincarnated as the heroine of the story, but she decides to break up with the male lead after she faced many predicaments due to their relationship. The premise is rather refreshing and Maise is also a very independent female lead who knows what she wants. Yse is also an interesting male lead with some yandere tendencies. I find their relationship progress right now somewhat strange though. Nonetheless, I wonder what will happen when Maise finds out Yse's true identity.
