as someone who's a japanese major at university it's shameful to say it but i'm not very interested in japanese traditional culture. well, at least i wasn't until i read this.
this is a cute, lively love story between two kabuki actors. the characters have that cool headed easygoing x 24/7 panicking problem-making duo that i love, and the fact that they have both the personal and professional aspects to their relationship is really interesting too. kabuki is a central point here and you get to discover and find out quite a lot about how kabuki families and roles work, although the kabuki pieces themselves have less focus since it's hard to include a full parallel story everytime they act on a different ones. but it was enough, along with the beautiful art style interpreting the STUNNING looks the kabuki actors actually pull in real life. needless to say as i pointed out in the beginning, now kabuki has rented a place of interest in my head. i really hope this gets updated soon, i wanna know what happens next !!!
