y'all know i mostly like my stories cute and wholesome, but it seems the best ones i read are the ones with some action on them. this has a fucking cool plot, extremely well constructed and well written. i love the characters and the art style. the relationship development between D and jack might seem rushed to some, but i believe extreme situations make for peculiar love stories. and i just found it to be beautiful and bittersweet, two different people sharing their stories and lives, hungry to become one for as long time as possible. the ending was beautiful too. just beautiful. i'd say i wish it was longer because it was so good, but i know this was just the right length the way it is. i definitely recommend it. although D does kidnap Jack, it doesn't even feel or read like kidnapping. so i don't believe it makes sense to consider their relationship as stockholm syndrome. but in case someone has a trigger on that, i guess beware. besides, the sex scenes seem totally consensual. hip hip hooray!

i think this plot is really interesting and the characters are really appealing, but i'm really not convinced about how they're gonna turn this into a likeable romance, as the characters themselves acknowledge the obstacles. the age gap is uncomfortably huge and they were teacher-student, so, iffy. i believe it'd be better if it developed w no romance. still, i'm curious and wanna read more. let's see how it goes.
