Magi was truly a super interesting, complex and thought-provoking story! It's a wild and unpredictable roller coaster ride that will stick close to my heart and thoughts for a long time to come!

I like the story for the most part. What I don't like is Mayumi's inability to communicate and Ashima being so ambiguous and indirect. I wish there two could just talk things over properly. I also don't think that the way Sakura's mother treats Ashima is right. The burden of the parents' sins shouldn't be forced upon the child. Because the people of the village are complicit in Ashima's mistreatment, she's become warped, depressed and probably suicidal.
