Bad At Names's manga / #Shoujo(40)

I love how well written all the characters are. The author actually takes care to show that the FL is actually the original Judith, explaining her emotional attachment and specific knowledge (it also makes her relationship with Luca so much more significant). I also like how the difference in her behaviour is implied. While it is easy to 'pick up' why Judith's insecurities were so big (constantly compared to others in everything) it doesn't excuse her original actions so seeing her improve is satisfying. It also makes her relationship with the ML so endearing as they slowly heal one another, as he is also someone who is always 2nd choice to his half-brother. Luca is also a great example of a child regressor as he's clearly still mentally an adult, yet when he finally has a stable adult figure in his life he acts like a child as he never had that growing up originally. Story itself is a bit meh, but the main focus is the character relationships and the ongoing theme of grief and responsibility. Great art, great translation. Nice short story, lots of angst bit of a slowburn. Wish it wasn't so censored with the smut though.
