I love how not everything is narrated, but just shown through the story. Perfect balance of show-and-tell in a story. My only gripe is that it kinda started... Hmmm... A little too cliche for my taste. (Surprisingly, I read all the author's works without purposely going through the list of their works lol. I just got here and there thanks to the tags and recs)

This was such a wild ride love the ending, I kinda want to see what happens next

*spoilers* Since I can't reply to comments, I'll just put it here as a reminder to myself when the comment system returns (which I hope it will, and I hope I do remember). Niko knew about Utsuromachi being trans because of Aiyori. It wasn't revealed how, but it was shown that they both weren't certain about it either. In the last chapter with the convo between Niko and Aiyori, the lines were shown: "Kill Utsur..." (presumably kill Utsuromachi next, her weakness is blah blah, so do this) "But that's too risky" (presumably too risky because if the guess (that she's trans and values keeping it a secret) is wrong, the plan might not be effective) It was just a little portion of a page though. And the translation isn't the best - most evidently in the last chapter when some sentences didn't make sense, and when the translation changed for a phrase from the same sentence used before (the one about Shira being hard to talk to after Ichimaru died). Tbh, I can't rate this properly because of bad translation (sorry translators, I'm still very grateful though). I can't tell if it's simply the bad translation or if it's the dialogues themselves that jump here and there. This is just for a few parts though (albeit important ones), the whole story can still be read and understood fine.

I'm getting the feeling... that this one shot was meant to be a pilot but didn't get serialized. Because the ending was perfectly cut off to have enough story for a one shot but enough space to continue. Makes me wonder if square enix has the same system as shonen jump (SJ system is to have mangakas submit a storyboard. If it passes, they have to submit a one shot pilot which will be compiled and be published then voted on by readers. If it wins (I think top 5 or smth?), then it gets serialized. And there's a cyclic voting if the manga is still popular enough to continue getting published. If it isn't, the mangaka is given a few chapters left to wrap up their story - aka axed. Idk if SJ still uses the same system though.)

Synopsis looks interesting. Comments says it's meh, so I'll keep a low expectation

I'm glad things worked out. I love the subtleness of the story where it shows that her lil brother was already unhealthy as a baby (the charm for healthy birth). But even though the first charm didn't work, she still continued praying for her brother.

When will they know? I'm all for supportive friends Ch 46 Gotta love the noodles fam and Mei's bff (who's too observant, I love how supportive he is ) Aaaaahhh I love yuzuru

Ueueue, why are there only 2 chaps

I can't decide between Natsuhi and Kaede Though Hina is a logical choice given he's straight, I just hope she gets more screentime to develop as a character and have the romance route

I want another volume ;-; Note: both of them are in their 50s
