Sekai wa Shippo de Dekiteiru
A bunch of wasted potential. Then again, there are other stories with similar themes.
Memento Scarlet
The enemy kinda gave the feeling that it should've been a plottwist but the character wasn't built enough, so it didn't feel that way. The romance also felt abrupt and not fully developed. Would be better to have more chapters (which unfortunately is impossible).
Mobius Strip
Need a second volume to properly conclude things Sigh pie. I reread this... I really really like the core of the story (it's interesting af as much as it's f-ed up), but it just lacks... everything. It went way too fast with no conclusion. The seme isn't able to resolve his inferiority complex that resulted from his bullying, and the uke never redeemed himself. As the uke's friend said, if the seme ever finds someone who can resolve his complex, this farce will end.
Musebinake, Junjou
Something is missing... the plot is... hahaha The main plot is the cliche "mysterious person looking for his family" + "person befriends enemy without enemy knowing". Which is fine, though it ended unsatisfactory with Omi saying "you two (the brothers) are the bridge between humans and beasts" and... that's it. It feels like this, along with the other 2 one shots, are supposed to be a prequel to an unpublished main story about humans and beasts
Evenly Matched Love
Ch 37 then skipped to ch 60++ lol. Might read properly when I have time (+ when I'm in the mood) Edit: dropped. I just couldn't get into the mood reading it when the story is all over the place. I'm just keeping it at 2 stars for the kids and the lore --------- That girl is annoying smh. Thank god Yun just let her stay crippled after she threw away the medicine. Reap what you sow, bitch. Lore seems to be good though it feels all over the place. Terms and details are placed here and there while the story progresses, but they weren't even there at the start (the mc just went to a new planet, got revealed as an empty man (which is only explained at that time too), and somehow got into a contract with a devil where it wasn't even explained yet what hell has to do with the story, and then it says that there are people with magic, with no magic and with strong magic (nobles) but without full context on the weight of these roles, etc etc). There's also the family tree that's suddenly growing left and right. Lol, it feels like when you go to a family reunion then you first meet your 100th cousin 99 removed Story kinda started off with rape (on the seme's defense, he's the one on aphrodisiac (and the uke got affected) so he's not stable that time too). Though the bigger problem is that after the aphrodisiac chapter (idr if it was just ch 1 or if it was longer or what), the seme kept pestering the uke and trying to make him into his lover when the uke is obviously not into him. Unless he's a tsundere, lol. While it MAY be because of the family differences (nobleman and a non-nobleman (lol, is he even still considered a commoner?)) that he doesn't want to get involved with the seme, the uke's actions and words suggest that he's simply not interested in the seme and is straight 乁( •_• )ㄏ The kids are cute though. They're the only ones keeping me wanting to read this comics
Shinigami wa Korosenai
I'd prefer it to be longer since there wasn't much time to develop the lore (like okay, there's 3 shinigami levels, but what does that mean?) and their relationship (it is what it is). And Connor was just there to tell the MC the truth; I liked Connor's design and would want more to his character. Does he really care about Caleb? (he does; but again, why and how? Lore said shinigamis don't have feelings (which in Caleb's case, I'll interpret as him getting feelings due to his corruption)) Why does he want to get promoted? What does it even mean for him? (Again, nothing was mentioned about the shinigami levels) I could ponder on and on about what could've been, but I'll get nowhere because this is a completed manga. And even if it got a sequel, it'll be a bit late for that.
Lack of Love
Given the first few chapters, I thought there'd be more issue about him and his ex. Kinda glad there isn't because he's loyal to his current bf, but it was a letdown of the buildup. Especially considering his ex was the reason he ruined his relationship with his parents. And speaking of which, we didn't get any closure on that. We didn't get to see much of the other characters aside from when the plot needed them. Which is both fine and not fine. It's fine because the plot really focused on the two main characters, but it's just a waste of other interesting characters. I'm honestly leaning on the not-fine part. Like yeah, show us how the leader is a two-faced bastard who has a grudge against the ML then forget about him. Show us how the other two members are dating just for the ML to have someone to ask about switching then forget about them. Then there's the ex's current gf who's a saint and didn't get mad at the MC. Despite being told that her bf is cheating on her then seeing her bf keeping a photo of him and the MC. But magically she just knows nothing happened between them then she just apologized for making things awkward? Um girl? This is probably the first 50+ chapter manga I've read that I'll diagnose with "too short" disease. So much potential that got wasted because it ended without exploring everything. PS. His sex scene with his ex (back when they were still together) was hot ngl. Now I'm looking for a photographer x model bl
Secret Therapy
I love the 2nd couple. Hmm, this is like My Partner's Tastes and Fetishes (with its academe rival theme) x BJ Alex (with its adult streamer theme) except... It's too short? At some point, the rivalry aspect was forgotten (tho tbh same for mptf); the bj aspect was sidelined, only appearing in the story in the beginning as the catalyst for the story, then once in the middle and then at the end; the potential "third party" drama was also forgotten (I mean, sure, Siwoo was never interested in the ML, but the MC never got to know about their relationship and the jealousy just poofed in the story, not because the MC isn't jealous anymore, but because there's no mention of it). Lmaooo, his sister's name on his phone is "mom's daughter" Looks like the forgotten aspect of academe rivalry is back. Let's go~ Ooooh, I like how Jaesung matured not to be so obsessed about rankings anymore. I love how Hyun finally had the courage to move on and move forward. The side stories is definitely a good conclusion to the story. PS: I'd love to see Siwoo in a police uniform tho.
