Souteigai Love Serendipity

Complete | meco | 2015 released

Ch 1: "no kink in the world could compare to the power of love". Soooo cute. 9/10 Ch 2-3: A story on ch 1's MC's colleagues. Title story; synopsis. This was funny but chill. Cliche af, but I love the pacing and script. Admittedly not a romance-based relationship, but it works. 7/10 Ch 4-6: What I liked about the story is the reality of a gay man depending on his ex for the sole reason of not wanting to be lonely, despite the unhealthiness of their non-committal relationship. On the other hand, the love between the main couple does not seem to be fleshed out as much as that scenario. 5/10 Average: 7/10

Nigai no Theme

Complete | ABE Akane,Abe Akane | 2016 released

I love this manga for its mature approach to the matter. But I hate its ending. This should've ended on their separation. Allot a volume for their "rekindling of love", not a fvcking few extra pages and an extra chapter. They have a lot to talk about. They shouldn't come back together just because they missed each other. Otherwise, that'd be a vicious cycle of mistakes. But then again... That's reality. Humans are stupid dumbfucks who'd skip the talk then act all surprised when they repeat their mistakes.

Walking With You (junko)

That plottwist

Hidoi Otoko (Tenkawa Ai)

Complete | Tenkawa Ai | 2000 released

I don't know why I read this... Morality aside, plot's shallow, characters are flat, no romance or any sign of love aside from the seme showing yandere tendencies, nice big dick, the smut's okay (not that good, really). Just a "meh" story all-in-all

This Ending

Complete | Gwa-in | 2000 released

It's good, but the pacing is a bit... Off? And the ending isn't satisfying knowing that ch 17.xx are just extras, so ch 17 should've been more conclusive with ch 17.xx are just add-ons/epilogue - unless the uploader named them incorrectly. Though I'm okay with having no reassurance that they'll stay together forever (I mean that's the point, they never saw the future coming), but them reconciling was anticlimactic.

Bitter Like Light

Complete | NAGO Nayuta | 2019 released

It's cute and bland at the same time lol. I find it interesting and fresh that the author started with a side character, though it seems like it isn't the case for most readers. I like the slow progression of the couple as they move forward with life and decide whether their independence is more important than them being together (which of course, the end is obvious). Just a chill story to read.

A Runaway At 3 AM

Complete | Niku Ueda | 2018 released

Moral of the stories: Communication is key First couple is about longtime lovers who unofficially broke up when the uke ran away. (Spoilers) He ran away because he became insecure about their relationship. He didn't talk about it with his lover and just ran away. And on the flipside, his lover just let him be. For two years. You know your lover (the runaway) already tends to think negative things and be insecure, yet you just let him be without contacting him? Yeah, both are the problem. Second couple is the first uke's lil bro and his lover. And like older brother, like younger brother indeed. Lil bro ran away from because he felt lonely and neglected by his lover. Only difference between the two couples is that his lover actually looked for him. Good seme. Third couple is probably the worst out of the three. Uke feels insecure about his relationship with the seme. They're just sex friends who occasionally meet up and have sex whenever the seme likes. Then not-so-plottwist, the seme actually likes the uke, is loyal to him, and genuinely thought they were officially a couple. Yeah right. What's wrong with the seme? Honestly, if only the uke wasn't so in love with the seme, I'd prefer he ended up with someone else. I love his friend though, very supportive; 10/10 would want to read a spin-off about Madoka's love life whether it's straight or BL. Gladly, all the three end with the couples talking about their relationship. Hope they don't end up making the same mistake again. I would rate this with 1* because the first and third couples really hurt my braincells, but I did like the seme in the second couple and the friend in the last one.

Hige to Suzu to Shabondama

Lol, for once, I love the MC's (Santa's) ex. He really just wants to be friends with Rintarou so he keeps bothering him

Teacup Toy Boy

Complete | Cana Umino | 2000 released

Ch1-4 is the title story "Whoa, I'm naked! Ah, but I'm wearing underwear!" Lmao. Also, I can't help but read the title as Teacup Boy Toy. Help Although the story seems a little absurd (no, not just a little... Also, unintentional pun lol), it's just a classic fairytale-style of story which has its own charm. Though the bad thing about the story is that it's too short to develop the characters and the non-existent romance - it's even worse than some Disney fairytales. ... Which leads to the second lead syndrome being too strong let's be honest, the ML didn't actually do anything except express interest in the MC because he's tiny and ~out of this world~. He wasn't shown to have interest in the MC as a person, unlike the second ML who's shown to care for the MC (though it could be as a genuine friend/brotherly figure, not much romantically). I would really love to see more stories of this type. And hopefully a longer one or a better-paced one. Ch5-8 is different story. This time about a pretty guy who got confessed to by another guy. To make the confessor stop from harassing him with daily confessions, they strike a deal to have a date once and if he's still not interested, the confessor will stop. Sadly, this story lacks the magic of the first story. Not to mention that the plot is very very very overused, and the story doesn't offer more than the trope. Ch9 is a one-shot about a longtime couple who got into domestic troubles due to the seme's increasing sloppiness. Ironically the best-paced story out of the three. While cliche like the 2nd story, its charm is that it's a perfect story for a one-shot. The character of the characters (erm, what is English), their relationship concerns, the resolution to their problem are all well established.
