Tsurugi and Kiyou met in preschool and they became best friends. Tsurugi is the happy energetic type while Kiyou is the gloomy type who fell in love with Tsurugi when they were in elementary. Tsurugi moved away during elementary without telling Kiyou and so Kiyou lost his only friend and first love in one day. After Kiyou took an university entrance exam, he ran into Tsurugi and without acknowledging him, he ran away.
