Trilogy's manga / #age gap(190)

This is the first time I have read about such a plot. The uke is walking on a rainy day and he runs into an antique shop. The antique shop has his grandfather’s watch that he was gifted as a child. He asks to buy it and the shop owner informs him that he cannot pay with money but with memories. The uke states he does not want to lose his memories and asks for another form of payment. The owner informs him he can have the watch if he bears his child. The uke agrees and gets stuffed with a seed that will make him grow a womb. The seme is actually trapped in the store and cannot live a free life. He can only leave the store when it rains if it stops raining and he is out of the store he can die. The uke visits the seme on the days it rains to complete his part of the deal. The uke and the seme fall in love deeply and the uke begins looking forward to having a child. Suddenly, the talking owl that protects the shop informs the seme that the uke’s body is rejecting the seed and he can die if he gets pregnant. The seme decides to make the uke forget about their interactions and free him from having a baby so he can live. The uke lives his life without remembering the seme but he is constantly sad and doesn’t understand why sudden places trigger weird memories. Then when he suddenly remembers the shop he is about to die from a construction bar but the seme opens the shop for him again and he lives. The uke realizes who the seme is and cries. The seme and the uke claim their love once again and live happily together. They have a beautiful daughter that takes after he seme in every way.

This was a cute story, it had two lovers involved. The first story was about a straight man who enrolls in a two week driving course but does not know that the driving school is notoriously known as a gay meet up place. The two week course requires all participants to stay overnight in the course. The uke stays and his roommate is a “gentle beast” because he has a high sex drive but is gentle towards the uke since he likes him a lot. The uke gives off the wrong impression to the seme because he follows the internets directions on how to interact with others. The instructions told him to compliment people and touch them to become close friends—the uke is a homebody. The seme falls for the uke and wants to date him, the uke falls for him because of how friendly he is. The seme wants to have sex but he does not pressure the uke. Instead he patiently declines the sex offer and is just a super good friend to the uke even though they are dating. They end up doing it, but we already knew it would happen *wink*. The second story is about the first couples friend that hook up. The uke in this case has a trauma about popular handsome guys always leaving him for a woman. The seme in this case is bi and he is popular. The seme asks the uke to hook up the uke agrees but decides to not let it be more than a one-night stand. The uke tries to deny their feelings, but the seme asks the uke out. They go out and love each other. Overall the story is pretty bland, but its just enough to not be bored and spend the time reading it. I quit it like twice but wanted to finish it to write a review. There is also minimal smut, more conversations.

The uke is a salaryman who works for a great company and everyone loves him. He has his life set up the way anyone would like so they can be successful. He is even engaged to the CEO’s daughter. Suddenly the CEO’s daughter accuses him of cheating when he really didn’t. The daughter and everyone at work treats him like an outcast. The uke desperate for some kindness and love hears of a dating app. He joins and his first meet up is with a guy that states he is a bottom. The uke placed his preference as top only. The seme does rape the uke. Then he confesses that he has loved him for a long time because he works at the bar he frequents. The uke falls in love with the puppy begging college student (seme). Cute story except the rape part, not cool even if you were younger than our uke.

This story is set in a sub/dom universe. The uke is a rookie actor that is hiding his second gender because Subs are looked down upon. The seme is a popular dom actor that everyone wants to go out with. The uke is a huge fam of the seme and is excited to practice with the seme. From the beginning the seme was attracted to the uke and that is why he asked him to practice with him privately. The uke agreed but through the practice the seme found out that the uke was actually a sub. Their chemistry as sub/ dom was strong so the seme asked the uke out, but the uke declined. He stated that he did not want to date his idol because he should not be allowed to touch him in an impure fan way. One month passed and the uke got a lead role with the seme as the protagonist. They were going to be a couple, so the uke had to move into the seme’s house per the contract. The seme and uke have to play a love role so the seme agrees to teach the uke about love by acting as if they were a real couple. The seme finally makes the uke fall for him and agree to date. They are a great couple, the seme is nice no rape! Awesome and fluffy read.

Okay so this one compared to many other step-brother series does have rape. Trigger warning for all. The seme is younger and in highschool. The uke is older and already a working adult, but he has a past of being a highschool delinquent. The seme originally hates the uke and his family. They get off to a horrible start but the seme accidentally gets drunk at the uke’s restaurant job and the uke takes him home. There the drunk seme confesses that the reason he can’t get over his mother’s death is because she was the only one who knew he was gay and accepted him. The seme in his drunk moment jumps on the uke and they go all the way. The uke was drinking beer when he got home so it is dub-con. They were both drunk, either way no real consent was established. The uke empathizes for the seme and he allows the seme to live with him temporarily. They continue their relationship and the uke agrees that if the seme still loves him when they get older than they can make their relationship official. The seme agrees and their families unite. The uke is strong and communicates really great *I mean he is the adult* the seme is younger and sucks at communication.

I really liked this story. The sensei x student trope has been done many times, but I found this story refreshing. It was coming from a sense of vulnerability and confusion from the uke’s side and the supportive yet flirty act from the seme. The uke is the student and the sensei did not do anything until he graduated. The uke consented which was great, there was no blackmail. It was just a blind date that left the uke and seme with lingering feelings for one another. It was great to see how the uke tried to forget the seme but the seme came out of nowhere in the blind date and stated “you can only have eyes for me, no other man can touch you”. I was ecstatic to see that the uke was confessed to and won’t do anything that he will regret from the dangerous blind dates.

As I write this, I am left with a few questions. The biggest one is “will Touru ever say, I love you” back. The author left the story as completed, but it hurts to see a realistic ending sometimes. I can understand Touru’s reason behind not saying those words back, but I am happy to see that inside he really does love Touru from the perspective of a lover not just a guardian. He loves him so much that he cannot say it in order to allow the person who is young, vulnerable, possibly confused, and all alone in the world to know that he loves him so much he is willing to let him go. Touru is willing to set free the one person who he has dedicated his entire life to. Touru did not kill the seme’s mother he was simply a passenger in the crash, but he feels just as responsible. He feels guilty for having developed feelings for the child he was supposed to raise and see off. Maybe one day Touru will say the words he hides in his mind and heart everyday. I wish I could see it happen, but even if he does not his silence is the strongest and loudest scream of “I Love You”. Touru does love him and Touru will forever love him despite of himself. He does not feel deserving of the love that the seme is showing him in terms of a lover. He doesn’t even value himself as a proper guardian, he is just doing his best regardless of the circumstances. Seeing the seme fight his feelings for years up until his last year of highschool was so intense. You could see how hard he tried to convince himself of loving Touru in a fatherly way. However, he could not sit back and watch anymore while the man he loves and yearns for is about to be left everyday on his own. I feel that in the moment while leaving on the bus he could feel how Touru would move on or meet someone new since he wouldn’t be around anymore. I don’t know if Touru would do it considering how he has the tendency to love one-sidedly so earnestly but I think Hirai would have won if the seme would have left Touru alone for all the 4 years. Touru would have wanted the seme to see that he is not lonely and that he will live his life so that it can push the seme to leave him. I don’t think Touru would have truly fallen in love, he would have settled for the seme’s benefit so he would not feel guilty. I know that the seme is sad that Touru won’t say “I love you”, but with enough persistence and perseverance in the future Touru will know that saying “I love you” is what the seme needs more than anything. I cried slightly about 3 times while reading this. They tears were slow and dripped silently, the tears came from how beautifully raw you could feel the emotions of each character while they try to battle internally the socially “right” vs “wrong” actions. You could feel how realistic the couple are in their relationship in the end once the seme confesses that he loves Touru. Touru and the seme will live together and happily. They were destined to meet one another and will will never be apart. I hope Touru lives a long life, enough so that the seme never has to live without him. Thinking of this made me so sad, but that was the point wasn’t it author-san. Beautifully done my friend.

Wow honestly super great smut a romance. I love how hard they both fell for each other. The seme might be a playboy but man he fell head over heels for our innocent virgin middle aged salary man.
