what the actual fuck. the art is amazing so points for that ig… the storyline is basically rape and abuse (both verbal, mental, and physical). sadistic is a very accurate way to sum it up. there’s no room for “but” and “however” because no amount of fluff can make up for the trauma this man went through. was he an asshole? yes. did he deserve this? no. honestly if we look at the smut with zero context we can work with it, but that’s about it. was genuinely hoping the mc would commit suicide for at least 3/4 of the story, purely because it seemed like a easier way out. in the end they voluntarily stay together, but just because he somewhat (not completely because he probably had stockholm syndrome) made that decision for himself doesn’t mean everything’s good. also, i was on the verge of tears for about half of this story because the mc’s whole situation was just- i mean the resilience of this man to go through all of this and still be fighting and giving attitude. he has my respect. still think that dying would’ve been better than going back with that man tho
