B r u h . Why was there no tentacle tag on here???? They fucked twice, using the merman's tentacles.
Yes. Merman with tentacles. I honestly love that. Not unthinkable, but unique none the less. I appreciate this one.
The plot that was actually happening was incredibly simple and more emotion-centred than the information given through the flashbacks, making the story simple to follow and feeling cohesive. So I really apreciate that from the author.
Also read that the Author comes up with "cute supernatural beings and yaoi plots" so Imma check that out. It was kinda a little bleek, but the colourful artstyle (despite lack of colour... Just- trust me. The artstyle looks colourful even in monochrome) really balanced it out along with the merman's bright personality. The idea was actually quite depressing for this. The YP is an older-looking man who has grown to hate the immortality he has from his merman "husband" and wishes he could die, asking his merman for the cure to immortality.
There's more to it, but it's very unhappy, even amidst the colourful feeling and comfortably bright surrounding personalities.
There was a balance between all these personalities, actually, but it felt kind of teetering because of the witch's anime-esque sharp female villain personality, along with the tsundere-like cat. I feel like this Author would be a lot MORE up my alley if they were less inspired by manga and anime XDXDXD But that is ridiculous of me to say, because I literally live off manga XD I loved this work and that was the only part I trully noticed pop out in my face in a way that didn't resonate with me.....
Yeah!!! This felt unique. It wasn't centred around the romance, which is funny because that seems contradictory to what I was thinking about it just now, but the story is actually centred around their struggle with each other IN their romantic relationship, as people who hated being immortal. The romance was more the setting. The occourance within this setting was the plot. And I D I G that a L O T. Seriously, I haven't noticed anything like this before, which doesn't mean I haven't seen it, but it does mean that this spoke enough to me to make me want to look, so I'm very satisfied with this manga. VERY!
Definitely recomend as a reread when not in the worst of moods, but in a relatively enjoyable one. Doesn't have to be cute-fuzzy-content-happy. Just alright, but on the good mood side.
