Dating my way up

Complete | GUURM | 2019 released

Ex comes back to fuck with shit, but is aprehended quickly and no one really actually gets too tangled up in his lies. Told seme some stuff, but it barely mattered in the story. Just gave me anxiety that it would XD Sweet tho.

Loving relationship and super hot. Seme regretted almost topping Uke when Uke was drunk and that felt important. Also, Seme deals with Uke's fetish like a champ. Loved the vibe though uke seemed a bit in his own head with his fetish, sometimes not really considering how it was affecting his relationship. But hey. We all have our flaws, but that was just super noticable since we don't get to know much else about him than the fetish.

Not real salaryman and not real incubus lololol. But the vibe is nice. Simple and quick storyline, a little barren even, maybe, but honestly a sweet treat. Being a tsundere is really not my thing, really, but it's not a bad manga. Simple fun.

Great show of similarities between characters, and even though I never felt like their VIBES were similar, I got the idea, even though they could have pushed it a little more and probably should have. The mirror was a nice symbol. The story unfolded simply, but not predictably, with the two main characters being not unlikeable, with actual personalities, though they may be cliche. All in all, wasn't exciting, but it was enjoyable and smooth, without dodgy shit going on. Should have also dug the nails in a little when talking about their romance, because that would have felt more satisfying, but sure, it was a nice, pretty short mange. I just came back to edit this on a random day of doing homework for Lativia (04/12/2020, not there yet) but I just rememered I probably didn't mention this, but the subtle yet beautiful ending was very endearing. I was just dissapointed they didn't go deep enough in it and left me high and dry. (More like wet and frustrated, but whatever XDXD Jkjk. btw) also, looking back, I liked the subtleness of the whole thing and I probably don't appreciate how much information is cominicated in a lot of the yaoi mangas I read about the YP. Like, this YP had a whole family life and small arch back home, too. It was just all shown very wuickly, becuase it didn't NEED to do more as a manga. All in all, very pleasant, despite being so mild.

I need to re-read this again in a clearer state of mind to apreciate it properly.... But here I go. These characters had their little bit of hitches in their relationship before they started going out and it was given good screentime and a good portion of the story to feel relevant, without dragging it through mud and making it frustrating. So, good conflict, while keeping it with the "soft bl" vibe. Which is what the author intended! I didn't see anything unnecessary in this story really, with a lot of sweet moments. A LOT. And them falling for each other seemed to progress naturally and slowly, while giving just the right amount of sweet moments. Though MC DID fall a little fast, in my opinion, when it came to just feeling attracted. Not that that was a bad thing. I was just caught off guard. So I'd say apart form the very beginning, which felt a little (JUST A LITTLE) rushed to get to the romance (Though it would have been interesting to just jump in. That could be a good way to write a romance.... I should try it.) Anyway, it was good after that. Phenomenal, even. Loved it. Super super soft and sweet, apart from the rush in the beginning, everything went smoothly without feeling bland at all. The issues just felt a little "meh" to me, but that's a personal view on the world thing, I'd say. So yeah! I definitely need to re-read this again to feel the full potential of this! I feel like I missed it this time around because of my own head getting in the way. So my three star rating may change to a four some time

Alright, bitches. This one was good. Comedy was mild, but it HIT XDXD Bruh, uke telling friends about his confession and how seme said they shouldtalk about it later, then left. Friend says "He straight up ran away." And I- L A U G H E D because they DO run away ALL THE TIME in yaoi and it's NEVER called out XDXD Side cast were PHENOMENAL. Only Uke's friends, so a oretty one-sided story, but hey. Was cool. Uke's friends were just great. Accepting, though obviously caught off guard. And relevant + willing to help. XDXD I could go on, but I digress. YP uke was shorter, younger and a little cuter, but I dunno, something about him let me see him as an adult. They both had their place in their relationship and though this unusual(in yaoi couples) equality felt a little dangerously teetering unbalancedly, at no point did I see the older guy as a parental figure. At all. Which is a huge "Y E S S S " for me, so yay~~ Oh! So, this felt like a self-aware yaoi. Artstyle felt modern and comfortable to look at, too. Clean and precise. Even a bit webtoon-y to me, but that's more of a personal conotation thing, I'm pretty sure. Soooo, yeah. No real in-depth show if the actual ROMANCE afterwards, which would have REALLY made it for me, I feel. But sure, whatever, this worked. Nice humor I just really felt from the surrounding YP cast with the YP himself being GREAT. For real. The seme was... Alrigt as a character! No complaints, the YP seemed like he would make it work, so good for him ^.^ All in all, nice couple without ANT major complications, thank God, with straightforward af plot and... I have no idea why this just seems to work so well an feels so unique, even though it is the MOST cliche yaoi I have seen but... It just turned out great. Through the simplicity, the straightforwardness and complete use of everything in the story, it had no left over, impractical parts of the story. Pretty much perfect. Of COURSE it's a four stars. Anyone else should make it Five, I'm just looking for that perfect yaoi to make a five.

Cutest sex scene I've seen in my life. Also, just love this author. Perfect short re-read, to be honest, would pribably be sweeter the second time around, when you kNOW: 1.The first hurdle is overcome SOOOOO quickly, without dragging on AT. ALL. Seriously, as quicly as the threat showed, it was built up a little, revealed, then became a danger, then swiftly taken down in one swoop. 2. Feelings are shortly thereafter understood and worked through. Fluffiest shit around. I am in love with the sister. In. L O V E . "Don't worry, Onii-sama!! I'm going to become the head of the family, you go get yourself a nice man!!" I'm C RY IN N G Sister mARRY ME Honestly incredible. Any issues? .... Not really? Uke was a little oblivious- a LITTLE! But he wasn't frustrating at all. The plot maybe felt a little... Barren? But the FEELINGS were there T^T so ain't no complaints. I would love to see the annoying side character get a sequen XDXD But I don't mind, it's not a necessity at all. He was a nice addition. I guess I didn't really... dig the first hurdle. A personal thing. I would have liked it to be a little more intricate, or a little more unique, or... anything that wasn't a prince who was an asshole, because that's also pretty cliche. But hey, honestly nice manga, def a good re-read rec.

The vibe between the two characters felt... unique. They felt disconnected so I'm minorly anxious reading this that their future relatioship is going to be teetering on the edge at times, but they both seem like loyal lovers, so it'll probably be fine. Which is actually a good thing. Also, the really seem t oget each other by the end, so yeah, they seem like they'll be fine. As I was saying, their vibe is incredibly unique to me, I loved the way things weren't thrown in for drama and everything flowed in a way that felt natural. They weren't friendly at first and I could see that they were showly getting closer, but... It felt... Kinda illogical when they got friendly. Like though some stuff made them see each other in a different light, it was a bit too subtle to be able to tell that the dynamic had changed, but that might be my bad, so take that criticism with a fistful of salt XDXDXD The story was uneventful, relationship wasn't abusive and didn't feel toxic EVEN when the feelings seemed one sided and they were fucking. Which is RARE. Not... "cute", exactly but no drama. Kinda all around would be a bland experience, but seeing as the characters were the centre, it really felt more unique. The atmosphere between them was wonderfully unique and it felt like a treat that I'd discovered it, so that's why this is a four.

Was only a little drama (thank god), very bearable and didn't develop into a mess yet. Now. The only reason it's a THREE not a FOUR is because I had... probably a little higher expectations of this when I first started it ( ̄∇ ̄") But read to the end of this first!!!!! So, the set up... Was amaing!! I loved this manga from the second chapter!!! And that doesn't happen with me XDXD This was such a yaoi plot, while also being ALMOST believable enough, painted with such a funny mantality from the main character. The mantality from the YP probably is what made it so fun from the start, to be honest XD His friends also helped set and make this what it was. They could have shown up a little more, but I get it, this wasn't about them. Now, the setup really made me think this was gonna be a game of deciet and emotion. The confusion of figuring out what is a lie which has been pushed too far, pulling you over a cliff's edge and what is... real~~~~ XDXD Anyway, that DIDN'T happen! It WAS about the lie, sure, but they went RIGHT TO THE FUCKING!! Like... That's so disSAPOINTING!!!! I saw something that I was SURE would have been a perfect build up, but they just WENT IN for it and I was just like.... I thought this was gonna be different. Unique. I was looking for something new.... But it dissapointed me >:( BUT!!! Despite being such a quick "Bam-Bam, thank you, Ma'am", it actually caught me off guard with some of it. I didn't think he was gonna be so hinest to himself. I didn't think the drama would have resolved so easily, I didn't think the YP was gonna misinterperet the seme.... I didn't expect the seme to come right back. I didn't expect the YP to feel so goddamn real for a person. The YP made a mistake. And I apreciated that. Now, this feels like the author was either a) a little inexperienced- Which gave me a great experience!! Because I didn't expect some of these moves through the story, which most mangakas and artists would have jumped on to delve into. Or b) tried to be unique in the story, which gave a little bit of a confused plot, but not dificult to understand and quite pleasantly light. Because they didn't DELVE IN in a lot of things. Which I would have expected. But I'm fine with this. Also, the side cast. The Seme's friends are boring as fuck with no personality. Fuck off, I want my YP's gang back T_T XDXD But nah, it was bearable, that's just a nit-pick. I actually don't feel like rereading this one. It was a good one-time thing- and I meand GOOD!!! I really love that I read this one, I think it added to my experience of yaoi. It was new to me and I want this vibe in my life. But it's a different kind of yaoi. There wasn't a vibe in it which made it stand apart. It was the fact that it was unique from more... logical stand points that I can even apreciate this so much. But yeah. Not an emotionally enriching experience, just for veteran yaoi connoisseur like me XDXD The vibe was nice. Art was *chef's kiss* on point (Why are the webtoons always so good?!?!) and easy to follow story. 10/10 recomend. OH OH OH!!! Also, smut was on point. I recomend this for the smut. Fucking 10/10 in the smut area. All so cOnSeNsUAl T_T T_T T_T honestly, probably most consensual thing. It didn't toe any lines- ever... Apart from the fact that it was techinally sex with someone who you thought was someone they weren't ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ Can't do anything about that. It's literally the whole plot. Okay, Imma sign off her, bottom line was that it was -good-. That's it. Fun and pretty tame vibe-wise with elegant art and fun story that dips into the mild drama side for those who can't live without issues in their lives.

No smut, just a hot scene at the end. Also, HELLLLAAAA short, but when I found it, I was so goddamn happy that I did T_T I recognized this right away. Pure as fuCK romance. Again, extrEMELY short, but sweet. No real big issue. Not uncomfortable. Short misunderstanding that felt huge to the YP (fair enoughly, though) which was resolved in like... Two pages XD Best sweet thing ever. I want to see more of their life AFTER the confessions, obviously, but it's fine.
