I need to re-read this again in a clearer state of mind to apreciate it properly.... But here I go. These characters had their little bit of hitches in their relationship before they started going out and it was given good screentime and a good portion of the story to feel relevant, without dragging it through mud and making it frustrating. So, good conflict, while keeping it with the "soft bl" vibe. Which is what the author intended! I didn't see anything unnecessary in this story really, with a lot of sweet moments. A LOT. And them falling for each other seemed to progress naturally and slowly, while giving just the right amount of sweet moments. Though MC DID fall a little fast, in my opinion, when it came to just feeling attracted. Not that that was a bad thing. I was just caught off guard. So I'd say apart form the very beginning, which felt a little (JUST A LITTLE) rushed to get to the romance (Though it would have been interesting to just jump in. That could be a good way to write a romance.... I should try it.) Anyway, it was good after that. Phenomenal, even. Loved it. Super super soft and sweet, apart from the rush in the beginning, everything went smoothly without feeling bland at all. The issues just felt a little "meh" to me, but that's a personal view on the world thing, I'd say. So yeah! I definitely need to re-read this again to feel the full potential of this! I feel like I missed it this time around because of my own head getting in the way. So my three star rating may change to a four some time

Angel Buddy

Complete | Mastergin,Chungnyun | 2019 released

Loved the story. Was the perfect length, sure, but as with all romances, was left wanting at the end, despite the good length of the story, because they didn't show the happily ever after. Just said it would be there. Anyway, loved how, though the Uke was "naive", he wasn't naive in a stupid way. Unlike other Ukes, he was strong and had doubts about the people around him, even if he wished for and believed in the best in them. So that was nice. Also nice how he could kick Angel ass and how no one in the plot expected that (including me, lolol, this bitch had hoes on the brink of death at times XDXD) Seme still had the tendencies to be posessive and a little manipulative, but despite that and my (very mild) frustration, the uke would still see this in the Seme, understand it, and play along anyway, because he found it lowkey, secretly hot (inferring that last bit, but yes, uke did notice Seme's tendencies.) I liked the mother's story, of exchanging her son's life for her own, fighting death for 9 years. I liked how there was the clear view of our Uke withering away into nothingness from his sickness. I liked it a lot. I liked how the Angel Seme was being, very visibly, internally, emotionally wrecked by this sight until the very day he DOES die by suicide. And how he cried after. (Hmm, I really liked how it was, technically, this same Angel Seme who got him to commit suicide. I would have liked that to have been maybe mentioned again and just expanded on JUST A SMIDGE in, like, two or three pannels.) The Deleter angel. We had him also be into the Uke MC, because ppl like triangles. I now see, looking back, I disliked this for all the scenes where it was suggested he was into MC and the stupid tension because of it, because it felt like lowkey cheating, at least, for all those scenes which were before we even knew he wasn't human. But they were very enjoyable after we knew, because then Uke MC didn't take it XD And the flirtation was more open. It felt like there were no secrets in those scenes and the Deleter didn't seem to wanna push himself onto MC at all, regardless of how touchy he might have been XD XD Okay. Now, the first scene for this freaking webtoon made no sense and was a "wtf, why they fucking, who is this man- Wow, that was a view of the future, who WAS that man??? What time was it in, in relevance to where we are NOW in the plot?!??!" moment for me. It was an out of context sex scene, which happens towards the END of the plot... And felt random. Also, the forshadowing from some of what Deleter said was being layed on a bit clumsily. Not only that, but the time travel was not as fascinating as it could have been, as it was too simple, and about that damn time-period where Angel/God boyfriend was gone, after saving Uke's ass... Yeah, it wasn't impactful enough. If the angst could have been brought out more by showing more of his expressions and daily activities which involved MC doing his best to keep himself busy from the feelings, or if they showed more of him remembering him and how he was acting when he WAS (which they did, just... like, as a side-note in a pannel about his friendships, I guess.). Anyway, really fun to read. Loved angel boi. Loved crossdressing scene where Uke dresses as Angel, liked Uke's strength, liked Seme's character arch, liked Uke's family... As well as the time travel XD Anyway. Pretty long, so not a recommended rr. But fun, so not a bad idea for a distant future. Not exacty anything special to me, but it did stick out to me how I cried and sucked up on energy when our boy Angel was getting rightful Karma with Uke dying XDXD
