Dark Heaven
Look. Story telling is amazing and so was the ending. But they literally skipped a few moments which would have been so sweet to add in, and though I usually wouldn't mention that, the reason I AM mentioning it, is because this whole damn comic is so goddamn depressing!!! It's dealing with important topics and shows many issues. Plus, the story telling was genuinely incredible, with the way everything was revealed through the past, interlinking with the future. But this vibe wasn't for me. A bit too dark, is all. Good comic. But not a nice comic. If you can take that stuff better than me (Most people will, I am just a sensitive person) then I recomend this as a read, you won't regret it. But for me, it would have been nice to get bit of a warning about the misery I had to go through while reading this. But rest assured, the ending is by no means a tragic one.
Undercover
Story simple af, ending very much the romantic wholesomeness I look for. But some stuff that wasn't the romance itself went kinda overshadowed. Some stuff should have been delved into. But as I know, I can be a pussy, so I apreciate them not going into too much detail with the final issue which had been revealed in the very end, even though that was pretty important. Anyway. Lighthearted, short fun.
Kimi wa Junjou Incubus
Not real salaryman and not real incubus lololol. But the vibe is nice. Simple and quick storyline, a little barren even, maybe, but honestly a sweet treat. Being a tsundere is really not my thing, really, but it's not a bad manga. Simple fun.
Don't Pick Up the Soap
Actually fucking loved the smut. Usually webtoons can't do it for me, but this one does. Story isn't super out there, but funny and had the perfect simplicity-to-complexity. First time I LOVED the girls in a yaoi with a passion, would have loved to see more of the two girls. Honestly, Leo can go fuck himself XDXD Don't like that bastard, but whatever. I should have listened to my gut about the kind of guy he was, lol, because it was proven right in the before-last chapter XDXD I am never wrong about yaoi characters. Story was more important in the very begining?? Later on it became a side-piece. Main couple felt compatible and issues weren't dragged out like gum, so this is honestly great fast entertainment. Not LONG, but should take two sittings. Or one drawn-out one. Good. Just not amazing in any way, apart from the enjoyment XD
The Man in the Mirror
Great show of similarities between characters, and even though I never felt like their VIBES were similar, I got the idea, even though they could have pushed it a little more and probably should have. The mirror was a nice symbol. The story unfolded simply, but not predictably, with the two main characters being not unlikeable, with actual personalities, though they may be cliche. All in all, wasn't exciting, but it was enjoyable and smooth, without dodgy shit going on. Should have also dug the nails in a little when talking about their romance, because that would have felt more satisfying, but sure, it was a nice, pretty short mange. I just came back to edit this on a random day of doing homework for Lativia (04/12/2020, not there yet) but I just rememered I probably didn't mention this, but the subtle yet beautiful ending was very endearing. I was just dissapointed they didn't go deep enough in it and left me high and dry. (More like wet and frustrated, but whatever XDXD Jkjk. btw) also, looking back, I liked the subtleness of the whole thing and I probably don't appreciate how much information is cominicated in a lot of the yaoi mangas I read about the YP. Like, this YP had a whole family life and small arch back home, too. It was just all shown very wuickly, becuase it didn't NEED to do more as a manga. All in all, very pleasant, despite being so mild.
DistopiA ~Mikansei na Sekai~
Basically dude who gets bored with anything he tries after three hours (because he can master anything) goes into a dating sim he started to program a long time ago, which was now being programmed by his brother's company. He finds a character that won't fall in love immediately and is different, so he falls. Pretty standard stuff, actually. But I felt seen by the otome side of it *sob*
Yakuza wo Shibatte Ii desu ka
Great for re-reads. Amazing seme, amazing uke, constant C O N S E N T and a wonderful portrayal of loving rope-play. Some "Master~" calling, but done deeply lovingly without them ever feeling subservient. Wonderful "love yourself" message that was small and sweet, but whatever. Sad backstory for Seme yakuza, but he is so goddamn loving, it's insane XDXD No stupid misunderstandings between them and are always loving, even while not in a relationship, but fucking. So all in all, fucking phemomenal couple with wonderful balance between the characters. Definitely recomend for re-reads and is short enough for a one-sitter, though recomend a cut-off in the middle. Just always remember everything will turn out fine, and enjoy the sweetness of the seme while the rope artist goes full batshit "FEEL THE LOVE YOU DESSERVE OF YOURSELF" on him and it's heartwarning. But not in a deep way to make you cry. Light and upfront story, with nice deepness to it.
Tsuki no Hikari ni Terasarete
This is why I joined the yaoi genre. For the bullshit. These are so fucking yaoi, that I just can't take it XDXD -Stupid ukes that look way more feminine than seme -Uke is an idiot -Uke is a moron -Ridiculous resoning for the seme having sex with the uke -Blurring the lines of consenct to the point of questioning if such a thing even EXISTS All in all, very Yaoi. I give this a 10/10 rating. This is what I stayed in the genre for. I don't even care about the porn anymore at this point. And I'm not being sarcastic. I love the morally "questionable" outlandishness of this genre.
Path to You
I need to re-read this again in a clearer state of mind to apreciate it properly.... But here I go. These characters had their little bit of hitches in their relationship before they started going out and it was given good screentime and a good portion of the story to feel relevant, without dragging it through mud and making it frustrating. So, good conflict, while keeping it with the "soft bl" vibe. Which is what the author intended! I didn't see anything unnecessary in this story really, with a lot of sweet moments. A LOT. And them falling for each other seemed to progress naturally and slowly, while giving just the right amount of sweet moments. Though MC DID fall a little fast, in my opinion, when it came to just feeling attracted. Not that that was a bad thing. I was just caught off guard. So I'd say apart form the very beginning, which felt a little (JUST A LITTLE) rushed to get to the romance (Though it would have been interesting to just jump in. That could be a good way to write a romance.... I should try it.) Anyway, it was good after that. Phenomenal, even. Loved it. Super super soft and sweet, apart from the rush in the beginning, everything went smoothly without feeling bland at all. The issues just felt a little "meh" to me, but that's a personal view on the world thing, I'd say. So yeah! I definitely need to re-read this again to feel the full potential of this! I feel like I missed it this time around because of my own head getting in the way. So my three star rating may change to a four some time
