Yakuza wo Shibatte Ii desu ka
Great for re-reads. Amazing seme, amazing uke, constant C O N S E N T and a wonderful portrayal of loving rope-play. Some "Master~" calling, but done deeply lovingly without them ever feeling subservient. Wonderful "love yourself" message that was small and sweet, but whatever. Sad backstory for Seme yakuza, but he is so goddamn loving, it's insane XDXD No stupid misunderstandings between them and are always loving, even while not in a relationship, but fucking. So all in all, fucking phemomenal couple with wonderful balance between the characters. Definitely recomend for re-reads and is short enough for a one-sitter, though recomend a cut-off in the middle. Just always remember everything will turn out fine, and enjoy the sweetness of the seme while the rope artist goes full batshit "FEEL THE LOVE YOU DESSERVE OF YOURSELF" on him and it's heartwarning. But not in a deep way to make you cry. Light and upfront story, with nice deepness to it.
The Good Teacher
Was only a little drama (thank god), very bearable and didn't develop into a mess yet. Now. The only reason it's a THREE not a FOUR is because I had... probably a little higher expectations of this when I first started it ( ̄∇ ̄") But read to the end of this first!!!!! So, the set up... Was amaing!! I loved this manga from the second chapter!!! And that doesn't happen with me XDXD This was such a yaoi plot, while also being ALMOST believable enough, painted with such a funny mantality from the main character. The mantality from the YP probably is what made it so fun from the start, to be honest XD His friends also helped set and make this what it was. They could have shown up a little more, but I get it, this wasn't about them. Now, the setup really made me think this was gonna be a game of deciet and emotion. The confusion of figuring out what is a lie which has been pushed too far, pulling you over a cliff's edge and what is... real~~~~ XDXD Anyway, that DIDN'T happen! It WAS about the lie, sure, but they went RIGHT TO THE FUCKING!! Like... That's so disSAPOINTING!!!! I saw something that I was SURE would have been a perfect build up, but they just WENT IN for it and I was just like.... I thought this was gonna be different. Unique. I was looking for something new.... But it dissapointed me >:( BUT!!! Despite being such a quick "Bam-Bam, thank you, Ma'am", it actually caught me off guard with some of it. I didn't think he was gonna be so hinest to himself. I didn't think the drama would have resolved so easily, I didn't think the YP was gonna misinterperet the seme.... I didn't expect the seme to come right back. I didn't expect the YP to feel so goddamn real for a person. The YP made a mistake. And I apreciated that. Now, this feels like the author was either a) a little inexperienced- Which gave me a great experience!! Because I didn't expect some of these moves through the story, which most mangakas and artists would have jumped on to delve into. Or b) tried to be unique in the story, which gave a little bit of a confused plot, but not dificult to understand and quite pleasantly light. Because they didn't DELVE IN in a lot of things. Which I would have expected. But I'm fine with this. Also, the side cast. The Seme's friends are boring as fuck with no personality. Fuck off, I want my YP's gang back T_T XDXD But nah, it was bearable, that's just a nit-pick. I actually don't feel like rereading this one. It was a good one-time thing- and I meand GOOD!!! I really love that I read this one, I think it added to my experience of yaoi. It was new to me and I want this vibe in my life. But it's a different kind of yaoi. There wasn't a vibe in it which made it stand apart. It was the fact that it was unique from more... logical stand points that I can even apreciate this so much. But yeah. Not an emotionally enriching experience, just for veteran yaoi connoisseur like me XDXD The vibe was nice. Art was *chef's kiss* on point (Why are the webtoons always so good?!?!) and easy to follow story. 10/10 recomend. OH OH OH!!! Also, smut was on point. I recomend this for the smut. Fucking 10/10 in the smut area. All so cOnSeNsUAl T_T T_T T_T honestly, probably most consensual thing. It didn't toe any lines- ever... Apart from the fact that it was techinally sex with someone who you thought was someone they weren't ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ Can't do anything about that. It's literally the whole plot. Okay, Imma sign off her, bottom line was that it was -good-. That's it. Fun and pretty tame vibe-wise with elegant art and fun story that dips into the mild drama side for those who can't live without issues in their lives.
Kiraide Isasete
When I found this again, I was SO happy, I recognized it immediately and you will too. Great treat. Nice positive message about the secondary genders (lol) and so damn much CONSENT!!! There was no rape from the partner, unfortunately in the past, though. But it was a beautiful story and I really feel like having the childnren there fit in well, which is unusual for me. None of that "Quiet, kyah~ Th-they might hear us~~" either, so thank God. But yeah. Uke was a basic character, but their strong convictions about Alphas made them interesting and stand bold in the story. They were a wonderful YP. Also, the actions of the Seme were phenomenal and made his character stand very clear against the story, too. The side cast were all wonderful, from the janitor, to the mother and the mother-in-law. Now, Yui (first, female antagonist who was just annoying) was.... just anoying. They could have done her better, but it was a relief when she was finally out of the picture and I GUESS I can forgive her, but as I said, she just really wasn't done well for that. Anyway, the first arc was the most fun XDXD (Vol 1) Since as it shows their relationship grow as the backdrop, the foreground was full of vibrant detail in the characters!! How the Seme defended the Uke from his own instincts, exactly how the Uke treated Alphas, how the Uke slowly had to face the truth about Alphas and just (/≧▽≦)/ MMMM, loved it XDXDXD anyway, I liked how everything was interwoven INTO the romance, but there was clearly so much more- like the trauma from a rape and the hate for Alphas and the Alpha dealing with this issue being thrown at them and the KID!!! It was all done on the backdrop of the romance, but heavily tied in it, because none of this would be as important WITHOUT the romance, so it was trully, done amazingly well in that way, balancing their worth juuuust right~ It was just a great yaoi and it was with a drama that I could take. BUTTTT It did have a miserable vibe at times (^.^") From the meet and greet, from the rape memory (but that is completely understandable, duh) The firstborn girl wasn't the happiest place to be a lot of times, either (Probably related to the former point) But the happy places were cool! Like the school for the Alpha.... and....... Yeah, the school was nice XDXDXD that's about it, but it was fun!
Ore-tachi No Kijou Jitai!!
This is a fucking MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! There was NO rape. It was pure comedy. It was the most yaoi of the yaoi of comedy!!! The guys were fighting over who would be top (That's literally the whole plot *facepalm*) but it was in a COMPLETELY innocent way!!! The guy who ended up as Uke revealed in the end he just didn't like feeling like he was being looked down on, which is why he didn't want to be Uke, but the Seme totally understood and was like "Then ride me, bro. No problem." And BROOOO in the end Seme was like "You totally win.... 1000%" (Paraphrasing, btw, here XDXD) and I don't know what to say. Just the Uke was like a man. The Seme was like a man. They were literally totally toe-to-toe in everything and I am so satisfied. It's a comedy, so OBVIOUSLY things work here that would never work anywhere else, ESPECIALLY outside of the yaoi genre XDXDXD But it just worked SO well, that I'm in love. 10 ukes out of 10. PS: I need to find more goddamn Seke shit ಥ_ಥ
I'm Yours, Blood and Soul
Much prefered second pairing (They weren't a "couple", tho) because of the dramatic reasons that they ended up "together" and why one of them in the end died. It was an ending that made total sense to them and I'm very happy with how long they made that story. But they were such a more COLOURFUL pairing, that I really wish they'd have been shown maybe in a little more depth or if the story had been tweeked just a little so that they had more time. The first pairing was cliche in how they interacted with that sense of love-hate, and the seme going "Oh, but you like it when I'm rough".... BUT I gotta admit it worked in this story for them, especially since the relationship wasn't too toxic. It was just two messed up people who have centuries of baggage they have learned to live alongside. And they decided to live alongside one another. So it just happened to work out well, I liked it. But it wasn't a satisfactory relationship for me. Or even the story (not counting the second pairing) because they just showed one half of the world. Not every human is like that. Not everyone's that bad. Nobody is out to get you because of who you are. They're out to get you because they've been fucked up themselves. Period. And that was kind of shown, yes, but they were going on about humans being selfish and horrible and blah blah blah. Like- I agree. 100% true. But you missed the whole other half of the human nature, bro. Anyway. This story was lowkey just a little depressive because of the edgy and dark vibes and how they were just two fucked up people who worked out happily together, but it wasn't a bad story. Just very very cliche XD But yeah, alright. Not for rr. Maybe just the last extras You'll thank me~
Chihira-kun wa Maryoku ga Tarinai
Can't believe it's the author"s first yaoi, haha, it was short and very very sweet. The plot was simple as can be, so there was no room for it to get muddled and it kinda had moments where the seme was a bit pushy, but it was actually also pretty consensual... Wish they'd have expanded a liiitle more about the dreams and the Uke'a succubus nature. Wanted to feel the two boys' personalities a bit more, too. Also, I liked the uke here. Wasn't a whiny butch at all and was an absolute sweetheart, though was a liiitle bit annoying when he went on and on about fucking chicks. But, it actually was only enough to get the point across of him wanting to get a girl without actually making TOO annoying. Seriously didn't ruin anything for me, I think it was great. Super cliche plot, but no rape <3 Childhood friends. Sweet. Rr for when you want something simple with smut abd cuteness.
Decision
Fuckin' bullshit how short this was, but the pairing was G O L D E N XD XD
