He doesn't realize that Adachi was only trying to copy Tachibana's warm smile and attitude which made him too popular and thus made the girl come to him on her own! This causes Tachibana to resent Adachi for years until one drunken night Adachi and him do something wild (mostly driven by Adachi). A very cute story
