Obey Me

Complete | Milknono,Rusena | 2000 released

SUMMARY [Jinyoo’s life is a living hell—he’s become a hermit due to an abusive father and a traumatic bullying experience. But just when he thinks life can’t get any worse, he is kidnapped by his high school classmate, Gyuh-wool, who’s developed a twisted obsession over him. Jinyoo quickly learns that there is no escape… The only way to survive is to obey Gyuh-wool’s orders] This is definitely not for everyone, nor the faint of heart. If you miss Killing Stalking and you enjoyed it, this would likely suit your taste. Interesting for sure, but disturbing and tragic. Proceed with caution.

SUMMARY [There are a few unusual things about Cafe Goyo. Number one, their coffee sucks. Number two, their customers never order off the menu. And number three, Yohan, the cafe manager, is deaf. So when Soohwa joins as a part-timer, though he is not expected to learn how to make good coffee, he is asked to expand his sign language vocabulary beyond the words, “higher,” “pay,” and “please.” But when Yohan offers to give him private lessons, Soohwa is reluctant. Not because he doesn’t want to study, but because he has a “hard” time around Yohan. Like, literally. He gets hard. Whenever he hears Yohan’s deep, sexy voice.] Cute, cute, cute. This is a must-read in the yaoi genre. I love the fact that one of the main characters is deaf. The plot is good, and I realy enjoyed the experience of reading it. Would recommend for someone who craves a sweet romance to get through a bad day.

My Childhood Friend Was a God

Complete | Ruru (menten watagashi) | 2019 released

SUMMARY [This is a story of a special boy who becomes a God once he turns 18 and his ordinary childhood friend.] This one made me tear up. With a few pages, a beautiful massage was conveyed. Beautiful and sad. Definitely worth reading.

Complete | WAJE, ZZIN-BAM | 2000 released

SUMMARY [Nothing crazy ever happens to Jooin. He’s just your average college student, keeping his head down and flying under the radar. Yahwi, on the other hand, is drop dead gorgeous, super popular…but also kinda mean. So why has the campus heartthrob taken an interest in a total nobody? There must be an ulterior motive…but it’s hard to care when faced with those killer looks. Will Jooin become a slave to his desires? Or perhaps he’ll become the master himself…] I read this manhwa a couple of months ago, but to be honest, I don't have recollection of the bigger picture of the story. The artwork is beautiful and it certainly a some cute, fluffy moments as well. This is not, however, a manwha that I would consider re-reading. But overall, I remember my reading experience as being pleasent.

Fruit of the Tongue

Complete | 머니 | 2019 released

SUMMARY [Noah, a kid that I met 6 years ago in an orphanage. His closed off appearance, made me feel like I was seeing my younger self so i have to admit that I wanted to care for him more... I didn't think that he would follow me this much. Lord, can I lead him to the right path?] It contains stunning art work, and there's something about Noah's eye bags. I can't put it into words, so take a look for yourself. This is not for everyone, so please read the warnings before continuing further. With that being said, I liked the religious aspect in the story. The final chapters were not excepted, so there's a little plot twist. None of it was excepted to be fair.

Under the Green Light

Ongoing | Jaxx | 2000 released

SUMMARY [“…I want to sculpt you into a form that never changes.” In a city full of high-rise buildings, Mathew Rayner, a sculpture student who, aside from his art, lives isolated from the rest of the world. He unexpectedly meets a captivating man named Jin and feels a fated connection. Mathew offers him a proposal: be his model. Contrary to his intentions, the relationship between the two becomes more and more warped...In a grim world stained with dirty money and betrayal, Mathew steels his nerves as he approaches the executive of the Shinhae Faction, Jin Cheong-woo, and gives him a new ambition... “However, there are conditions: First, you must obey my words unconditionally.” A man who built a wall between himself and the world, and another who looks down on the world, both concealing their true desires.] Loved this, and I wouldn't mind reading it again. The artwork is beautiful, and I can't wait for more updates, and to be honest, who doesn't love men with glasses?

Painter of the Night(Yahwacheop)

Ongoing | Byeonduck | 2019 released

SUMMARY [Na-kyum is a young painter with an exceptional talent: creating erotic images of men. Though he has published a few collections under a pseudonym, he has decided to quit painting. Then Seungho, a young nobleman, barges into his life. A hell-raiser notorious for his insatiable lust, Seungho forces Na-kyum to become his private painter. However, the nights that await Na-kyum are beyond anything he could have imagined…] I actually have mixed opinions on this manhwa. The artwork is stunning and I adore Na-kyum with all my heart, but something about Seungho doesn't really sit right with me. Nevertheless, I finished it, but I don't think I'll come back it, and if I do it'll only be because of the beautiful artwork.

BJ alex

Complete | Mingwa | 2000 released

SUMMARY [Every night at 10, Dong-gyun locks himself up in his room, grabs a box of tissues, and watches a live cam boy show hosted by Alex, a BJ (broadcast jockey). Timid Dong-gyun admires not only Alex’s ripped body, but his candor in sharing his sexual experiences with viewers. One night, Dong-gyun downs too many drinks at a school networking event and passes out. When he wakes up, he’s in bed staring up at a shirtless hunk. A hunk who looks an awful lot like...Alex.] Stunning art, that's all I'm gonna say. Anyway, I liked the begnning of this manhwa, and it was interesting to see the development of the relationship, even though Alex was a bit of an asshole.

Signal 100

Complete | Miyatsuki arata,Kondou shigure | 2019 released

SUMMARY [A group of high school students were spending their peaceful days freely until they have been chosen as the participants of the game where everyone is being hypnotized until they commit suicide. No one is safe from a sudden death, so what will they do to avoid their fates?] I've been sitting, trying to collect my thoughts on this manga, but I'm speechless. I started reading this a couple of months ago, but I couldn't bring myself to finish it because of a lack of interest. I'm so happy I did, though. This was full of plot twists, and I had no idea what to expect, nor what would happen next. This manga will make you question everything, seriously, EVERYTHING! It plays mind games with you like no other piece of fiction I've ever read. This was such a thrilling reading experience, but keep in mind that non-consensual acts do take place in this manga. Proceed with overall caution.

Tomie

Complete | itou junji | 1987 released

SUMMARY [Every male who encounters Tomie becomes obsessed with her and eventually kills and dismembers her. But Tomie is not human, and is always reborn...] This was certainly interesting, especially seeing how Itou Junju interprets obsession. The art style is fantastic, but I do wish the ending had been a little more "well-rounded" or so to speak. The manga ends abruptly, but maybe that's just me. Tomie is a person who every woman envy, and a person every man will grow to fear. Overall, a very pleasant experience with many unexpected things and situations thrown into the story.
