The Deepest Confession
Relatively quick read that focuses on unrequited love (but not really). Two people meet again after falling out/going no-contact, and the readers get to see how they navigate their feelings--both good and bad. In the end, they manage to actually communicate and get their happy ending. A lot of alcohol was involved.
December
This story is centred around overcoming one's past, and how to heal while also letting go of any prejudice. The plot seemed so interesting at the beginning, and the build-up between the characters so done in a nice way. The execution, however, was done poorly, and the ending was incredibly rushed. The plot lines don't get their respective ending. They lack detail and further development.
Keeper of the Pearl
Reincarnation is the central theme in this story. It was interesting at first, but there are so many sub plots throughout the story, a lot of which don't get explored enough. The characters seems one-dimensional and simple and I really wanted more. Overall, it was fine but very fast paced. The art wasn't for me either.
Immediate Disadvantage
This is an odd one. I didn't really know what to expected, but it certainly wasn't the raging daddy issues. Honestly, this is more sad than anything else. A people pleaser not knowing how to say no, and a young adult with no strong parental figure, taking advantage of that. I dropped rather quickly.
Shutline
As such an interesting story with complex characters and relationships. The plot remains interesting and detailed, and the element of suspense keeps the readers on their toes. I love dynamics between all the characters, and the pacing and progression of the plot is great. Would recommend!
Even If You Don't Love Me
I don't understand why this story has good ratings. I dropped this one after 40 chapters, which proved to be 40 chapters too much. This is essentially nothing more than violence, abuse and miscommunication. I tried to give a chance because good psychological/horror stories do exists, but this is straight up bad. Would not recommend.
Waterside Night
This story is heartbreaking. There are so many awful things and aspects to this story. The characters are extremely complex, filled with flaws and room for improvement, but everything is beautifully written. The story deals with trauma and the rebuilding of relationships so well. It was heartbreaking, but so worth it.
PASSION
This seemed interesting from the beginning, but the story is extremely slow-paced and doesn't need to have 100+ chapters. It had moments that kept me slightly intrigued, but I felt more annoyed than anything else when reading this. Some people like it, some find it boring. It's all a matter of preference.
Can You Turn Down Freshly Baked Bread?
I found it very funny in the beginning, but then realised the story is very short with not much of anything. I wanted to get to know the characters more, and somehow get to feel better about the large age gap, but that didn't happened. I didn't like how child-like the uke was acting, either. Not really for me.
