Interview with a Murderer
wow. wow. woah. ahem rating: 10/10 Tropes: -dark -psychological -apathetic uke -stone-faced/expressionless uke -puppy-like seme -pretty seme -emotional seme -yandere no kinks cause its not a yaoi, its a psychological horror Review: Woah. This was extremley well written. I was constantly engaged, and this was one of the few times I didn't skim over any boring parts, because there were no boring parts. This manhwa genuinly dealt with psychology, not just unsettling topics, but even including a psycologist as a prominant character. I'm going to quickly go over the smut bits before fully diving into the whole plot. I really like how neither clark or alex is domiinant or submissive! Although it's normally Alex who is more vocal and he will melt as soon as clark flirts with him, which i find cute! Ok now to the story. This manga really makes you question who to side wiith. Alex and Clark are both bad people. but who should we feel bad for? In the end I went with Alex. My reasoning is that he has a reason to do such horrible things. Yes, his actions were far worse than Clarks, but we have to remember Alex is mentally ill. He genuinlly believes that killing in the name of love is ok, because he was never taught otherwise. His motive and backstory are amazing too. It's a unqiue motive I have never heard before, yet it's understandable in a sense. I understand Alex's thoughts, although i very much disagree with them of course. He doesn't have bad intentions, and his goal isnt evil. He wants love, and he fears abandonment. So once someone becomes in risk of losing their love for him, he kills them to ensure that they will love him forever. Clark on the other hand is just a bad person. He is mentally stable, very mentally stable actually, he just has twisted hobbies and loves to manipulate people. He truly has bad intentions, which makes me dislike him. Something I loves about this story is the facial epressions. Especially when it comes to Alex and Clark. Clark always looks unbothered, so when his eyes shoot open, it really creates a sense of urgancy. For alex, when he is scared/shocked/angry, his eyes widen while he smiles. It shows his disbelief in whats happening. Especially when Clark tried to cut ties with him. Everything around him went colorless, and i could sort of hear a static/ringing sound in my head going along with the scene. I'm too lazy to do the rest, but ill cover the ending. Bro. rollarcoaster of emotions. like DAMN. I was a little sus of how quickly and willingly clark was letting himself stay with Alex, so I didn't believe it for a bit. It wasnt until the chapter that he killed him where I actually thought they were going to end up togehter. then BOOM. stabb. I was so shocked like omg- i felt my heart drop when that happened, and I was not too happy, but then Alex said how much he loved it, and i could sorta feel the lump rising up, but i was confused. Like i didn't want either of these outcomes, but this is better ig??? Like at least he did it because he knew that's what Alex wanted. BUT NOOOOOO CLARK JUST HAS TO BE AN ASS. HE JUST STRAIGHT UP SAID "nah i just hate you lol" and made Alex's last moment miserable. He could have just not said anything and let him believe his fantasy. I get why he did it, it was for revenge, but the last thing alex wanted to do was hurt alex. Overall really amazing story!
