Messiahs take people to train under them and make them fight monsters that comes from the tower. MC is the best in terms of everything—magic, strength and popularity. But he doesn't have a constellation behind him, making the Messiahs jealous of him. And so they conspired with each other(except Sag, his best bud) to take him down. And they did. 20 years later, he woke up—deep in the abyss. He then conspired thousands of ways to get his revenge and as of chapter 24, he already got revenge on 2 people(not including Sag).

Frustrating but gets better. The other's happiness is their happiness. The other's sentimental and the other's materialistic. MC thinks ML is better off on his own. MC wants him to be happy so she left him. ML thinks that he need to die for her to be happy. His happiness was to be with her. Through his life, the light(s) in ML's dark life was like lit candle. Even though it's warm by its side, it will surely disappear. If he touches it, its light will be gone. If he touches it, he'll get hurt. (Exactly what happened with Violet) I think that's why he's so materialistic. He simply isn't capable of trusting anyone again. That's why he'd rather trust the pennies rather than his aides. He'd rather trust an intimate, solid object that cannot turn its back on him. MC understands that ML is materialistic and so she does her best to save up, But MC doesn’t understand love and so she can't understand why ML "bought" her. ML doesn’t understand that MC is sentimental so he pushes his values on her, giving her gifts, huge allowance and all that. Not really a fan of MC, ML actually tries in his own way but she doesn't even spare a glance to it. Comments keep insisting that ML is wrong on showing how much he loves her, but SHE GAVE UP. SHE FUCKING RAN AWAY, leaving a letter and a divorce paper. But ML didn't give up on her, HE KEPT LOOKING FOR HER TO THE POINT OF BANKRUPTCY. What do you think of that uh? THE materialistic man, spending his money to the point of bankruptcy?!? Comment sect are too hard on ML. I wonder why can't people understand that ML grew up with a manipulative parent. They say "I understand that he's abused as a child" but they actually don't. He grew up with manipulative parents, yet you expect him to not be one? Of course he's guilt tripping MC, that's the environment he grew up on, after all. MC is already broken, ML was broken, but was healed by MC. MC is dense but expresses herself freely. ML isn't dense but cannot express himself freely.
