Here is the whole history behind their decision. First, you must understand that the English translation for The Villain’s Savior is a fan translation and thus, not an official one done by a publishing house affiliated to the author. As such, the author doesn’t get paid for this. A few months ago, during the initial release of the first English chapters of The Villain’s Savior, a fan happened to share screenshots of the English Chapters (despite having been warned not to) on IG. The author, who has an IG account, saw this and reached out to the groups basically threatening them to drop their work or they would have to take this to court.
