Contract Concubine Webtoon
16 ....While I do like the story the world within the story feels soo small. I feel like having more characters that the main lead girl interacted/connected with would’ve helped with this problem?
This Mage Desires Mediocrity
13....I like the concept about “other worlders” being common knowledge in this world! I also like how “other worlders” are seen as “treasures.” I like how the story focuses on diplomacy, it’s a nice change compared to just staying and focusing on one kingdom throughout the whole story. Also, I didn’t realize this was a reverse haram until the demon prince said she was gonna get 3 fiancés. I focused on looking for the ml guy for no reason!
An One on One, your Highness
I’m at chapter 31 and it isn’t as bad as the topics said it was? The only thing I dislike is that everything is going a bit too smoothly like isn’t the entire plot of this story the ml guy falling for the girl but the main lead guy is already smitten with the girl? So why is there 180ish chapters and the story still isn’t complete? I do not like how I was click baited with the summary though. // DROPPED
Forensic Princess
134...the child is sooo cute and a nice addition to the story, I’m interested to see people’s reactions when they learn the kid is Miss. Lui’s and Prince Ling Rong’s child. While I am amused by the story I wish it had more depth? Like the “depth” that I want could’ve been in the cases, the characters, the world building, etc. As long as one aspect of the story had “depth” I would have enjoyed reading it a lot more! I feel like all the characters in the story interactions are really lighthearted and everything is also always spelled out for us? A perfect example of the lack of “depth” I talk about is if you go to a random chapter in the beginning of the story and you go to the chapter I just ended on (130s)....the two main lead characters still act the same around each other. There was never a build up to the relationship nor did their relationship change. Their flirting/bickering relationship has stayed the exact same way. Same with the relationship between Xioliu and the Prince their relationship has stayed pretty much the same for 130 chapters (the Prince was easily able to win over Xioliu early in the story). None of the characters have changed in the 134 chapters I’ve read since we were first introduced to them. With the forensic cases, while they are entertaining, I constantly feel like I’m being force fed information and I hate that feeling. It would’ve been nicer if we were able to think through the cases. Either this or if explaining it step by step is too complicated than equal focus should have been given to these cases and the girl’s life outside these cases (the girl living as Miss. Lui with her kid). Instead the other thing besides the forensic cases the story chose to focus on is the mystery behind why the girls family was reincarnated and also the search for the immortality elixir. Meaning again we will be force fed information when we aren’t focusing on forensic cases.
I Became a Maid in a TL Novel
33..... At first I assumed that the little girl and the King and the Saintess were related. Like the girl looks like how the daughter of the King and Saintess would look like if they had a child. The King commented how he has never seen anyone with red eyes before and the Saintess stated how she hasn’t seen anyone else with her hair color, also the girl isn’t affected by magic even though she should react negatively to it because of the holy thing. Then we have that one bed scene where the girl was like “why are we all sharing a bed as if we’re siblings” and then I was like what a minute is this foreshadowing? That makes a lot more sense since the King and Saintess couldn’t have had a 14 year old child, although, I did briefly consider the fact that just like how the ML girl transported to this world maybe Nina time travelled to the past when she was a baby for a reason not known to us right now - maybe to stop the death of her parents (events after the original novel ended) at the hands of the “devil” from the fairytale, but the original Nina failed the first time?- (I don’t know if the authors would want to go that route though but I’ve seen something similar in Doctor Who and I would enjoy this plot line more than the lovers one). I hate the “fairytale” addition to the story. According to the fairytale and the Professors weird remarks the girl and the King are the reincarnated lovers from the fairytale and they will again have a bad ending? But if this is right what about the original novel where the King and Saintess fall for each other? Not to mention the little girl is 14? Like even if the girl is technically older mentally in the beginning (during the first carriage ride) she stated how the maid’s age is affecting her not only physically but mentally too? Even if that wasn’t the case I wouldn’t want the ML guy to find a 14/15 year old girl (who is stated looks young for her age) attractive. Without this fairytale addition to the story I would never have seen the girl and the King as future lovers, mainly because of the age gap and the same eye color thing. Also, I really do like the King because I never got that type of vibe from him, if I did I would’ve spent this whole comment bashing him.
