There is a festival every 7 years, to celebrate the god of the sea; the head miko performs a dance while the doors to the other world open and she becomes engaged to marry the god of the sea. On the last festival, a girl found a boy stranded ashore, nobody knew about him nor where he came from. She felt a strong attachment to that boy, so she convinced her father to adopt him as her little brother. Seven years later, the festival is coming up and the girl is expected to be the Head Miko and perform the dance, but she doesn't want any attachments to anything, she values her freedom, and the boy will do anything to protect her, the ones she loves, and her wishes; even if that means letting go of the one thing he wants to be near.

Great story, I loved the characters and its moments of comedy. I bawled nonstop when he was back in Pompeii, I think the story wrapped up nicely and there was a good conclusion to the main characters. Definitely worthy of being reread!

Story about a strong spiritualist and the demon prince she contained. It seems that the story got cancelled before its original plan, and while the main point did get a close-enough conclusion, there were a lot of strings that weren't tied completely. Nevertheless, it is kind of a cute story.

Sweetest, kindest human being with a complex about his stuttering can't help but look up to the man that effortlessly gets everyone's admiration for his charisma and public speaking prowess.

Story turned supernatural out of nowhere, two men seemingly fated for each other find themselves having to part ways, if they want to protect their lives.

Multiple stories, all kind of sweet but some a bit messed up

I honestly liked how their story ended both times. If there was something I'd complain about was how they handled the cat-thing, had the author come up with a better way to do that, it would've been a favourite story for sure. Still, a love story with lots of bittersweet intertwined, that still manages to make you feel heartwarmed if you can ignore the way it got there xD
