Bro he seriously liked and hoped for Tsugu to be his partner but he was a beta for heck's sake so he thought (and was taught) that it's impossible for them to be with each other. Also, I do hate that crappy asshole alpha too, but guys, I'm guessing that it's 99% because of him marking Kei that he was able to get pregnant with a beta's semen since it was practically impossible in omegaverse, I think Kei's ovary was opened with the marking and them forcefully breaking the bond made it possible, so I'm not forgiving him for raping Kei but he's got a huge role for this story too, plus the fact that he actually said that he'll still take care of them after being married and he also acknowledged that they were special. I was avoiding reading manga with drama tags for more than a year now because I'm already depressed about my life and I feel like I'm going to lose it if I read one. BL drama? This takes the cake. I just bawled real hard every fvcking chapter and now that I finished it, I don't know what to do. I'll be very lethargic again for a few months because of this. Hopefully I can move on from this manga soon.
